    Korean cauliflower
    Elise M.

The Korean cauliflower at Rice Is Right is just about one of the most delicious food truck foods in the history of food trucks. That sauce. That crunch. Truly so delicious. The Good Lot is a great place to enjoy an afternoon outside if the weather is nice. We also really enjoyed the mango rice pudding and dumplings. Service is a little on the slow side but that's no biggie when you're enjoying a draft beer and sitting in the sunshine. Keep making those awesome cauliflower bites, Rice Is Right! They make the world a better place!

I previously managed events for a very large multi-family complex (read: apartment complex) and had the pleasure of working with The Rice is Right as one of our vendors for Food Truck Fridays and other such events over the past several years. As such, I also had the joy of being able to consume food from many food trucks during that time, and The Rice is Right was definitely one of my (and our residents!) favorite places to order food! My go-to order is the Korean Fried Cauliflower with Rice Cake Skewers, but there is not a single thing I tried here that I didn't enjoy. In addition to being utterly delicious, the food is freshly made, and promptly available for pick-up. As a customer, both personal and professional, I cannot recommend The Rice Is Right enough and highly (12 out of 10!) recommend checking them out! Thank you, Sang, for being an amazing vendor and for making some of the best food in Austin!

Delicious food at a great price! I got the vegan egg rolls and the Korean fried chicken which came with a scoop of rice and coleslaw and was very satisfied. The chicken were cut into big chunks and had a sweet and slightly spicy sauce on them which paired perfectly with the coleslaw. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Dip them in their sweet sauce and it was a perfect bite. Along with the rice, the price was also right! Definitely give The Rice is Right if they are in your area!

Bulgogi and Korean fried chicken mixed together

It's rare I pick up food from a place I haven't looked up on Yelp yet but being that I was in a pinch and I love going to the food truck park, I picked this food truck. Boy did I hit the jackpot considering I didn't check reviews first! Note I got two different dishes but I mixed them together so hubby and I could try both which is why it's mixed together in the pic. BULGOGI BOWL: 9/10 Flavorful and not overly salty dish. I eat Bulgogi pretty often and at some places, it can be dry, but it's moist here with the perfect amount of sauce. KOREAN CRISPY CHICKEN: 10/10 Delicious without tasting unhealthy. I don't know if there's Bonchon in Austin but this is a step up from it. Taste more authentic and fresh without too much sodium. The guy taking my order was very nice and helpful in making suggestions and he said the food would be out in 6 minutes, which I thought was very specific lol but he was right, my food was ready to go super fast. Highly recommend this place and eating at the park here because the vibe is so cool! I've been here twice in a week and looking forward to coming back!

Wow is this food amazing!! We got the vegan egg rolls, fried cauliflower, stir fry and fried chicken meal. All were soooooo yummy. The fried cauliflowers a must try! We didn't expect it to be great reading it off the me you but a review said how good it was so we decided to try and and will def get it next time too! The flavor was very good. The chicken and cauliflower had the same sauce, I think, little spicy but I'm a huge wimp and enjoyed it! It was at the hedgehog brewery, another must try place. I will definitely be back!

I visited this food truck during an event at Austin Beerworks. They have several options for rice boxes including a vegetarian and vegan option. They also serve small bites as well. Overall, great mix of items within the rice box, the Korean fried chicken was tasty and the price was reasonable.

The Rice is Right is an amazing place for Korean fried chicken! The flavor of the sauce is spot on. The first time I tried it I skipped on the slaw, but I quickly realized I was missing out when I tried my husband's. The slaw is gingery, fresh, and compliments the chicken perfectly. Try the chili oil on the chicken and with the pork dumplings!

Korean fried cauliflower rice box! Gluten free and vegetarian.

The gluten free Korean fried cauliflower is so good! I keep driving way out of my way to come get it. I order ahead and it is so quick and easy to just pick it up and go!

It looked like they expanded their menu since the last time we ate here. We opted for a Shoyu Beef Ramen Soup and a Hot Pot Beef Noodle Soup. We grabbed our water cups and a carafe filled with iced water from their beverage fridge, and chose our table to sit at. We chose a location away from the front entrance, which faces west towards the sun. Our food was quickly brought out to us less than 5 minutes later, and our soups were very good. They have a very spicy broth for their Hot Pot Noodle Soup, which P2 really enjoyed. I was also happy with my shoyu ramen, which I thought was seasoned perfectly. The music here wasn't loud and it was easy to carry a conversation. The interior aesthetics of this place reminded me of a Japanese restaurant, despite this restaurant servicing Taiwanese fare. Unfortunately, they don't sell alcohol here. I would have loved to drink a beer here with its solid vibes. I took off a star because of the blinding sunlight that pours into the space. Each time we came, we had to be strategic on where we sat so that we or our friends didn't have to face the sun. But other than that, Noodly Alley continues to be a reliable choice for authentic Taiwanese food.

It has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants-and one of the only places to serve the Vietnamese pancake that I love. I sat down, getting ready to contemplate the menu. I was shocked to see it was a brand new menu. I asked my server about it, and he concurred that it is a new menu, but that the owners had taken many of the former choices off. . NO more fried rice-always my grandson's favorite. Although I was disappointed when it was time to order, I chose the Mixed Protein Bun. I requested shrimp and eggrolls. It is a bowl filled with rice noodles, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and your choice of protein. It also comes with a generous portion of fish sauce. After one bite, I knew that the old chef must have left. My food was so bland. To start with, I don't think it was salted at all..... which quite often affects the flavors negatively. There were no other spices or sauce or anything tasty in my bowl. I was very disappointed. I didn't even eat a quarter of the Bun. I didn't take the rest to go and I won't be returning, unless I see that they have returned to their former style of cooking. So I'll definitely be watching the reviews. It makes me very sad to have to write a negative review, especially about a place. I have enjoyed so much in the past!!!

They are in a "soft opening" phase currently, and we got to meet the owner who was very enthusiastic about his business, the community, and garnering any feedback we had. The food is - in one word, impeccable. We went in for a snack and ended up ordered 4x as much as we meant to because everything was so darn delicious. The menu consists of baos, sushi, hand rolls, adorable pearl shaped nigiri, bento, and more - they are all customizable with yummy sauces (miso butter - mmm!), and many types of protein (seriously like all the protein options you can find at a premium sushi bar). Everything is served with house made sauces so if you are a condiment gal/guy like me this is your place! Food - I had the escolar, unagi, and scallop hand rolls (all under $5 each) and was so surprised by the quality / freshness of the protein and the portions given. The escolar was so soft and buttery. I then ordered the shrimp fresh roll (also under $5, it was HUGE) and the chicken katsu baos (around $6-7) - they were amazing. The chicken tenders are panko crusted and fried crispy. BF tried the steak baos and LOVED them too. Okay also did I mention the PRICES?! You can't get quality food like that for a greater deal. Drinks are all $8 and hit the spot :) The interior is not completely redone / set up yet but I can't to come back when it is! The phone / QR code system makes it so easy to order. But it smelled and tasted pretty decent. They give you a good amount of meat too. The turmeric chicken was pretty good too, I really liked the seasoning on this one. The sushi was ok though. The presentations was super cute, with the little sushi balls! But the fish itself didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. The workers were all really friendly though. You can practically see inside the whole kitchen when you walk in, so it's a little unsettling walking in and seeing all the workers like standing there waiting for you to put your order in online, but interacting with them, they were really friendly.
