Updating my review, taking one star off due to service. Food is still great, no issues there and I'll continue coming back for that. But they appear to have hired some younger-ish people, probably early twenties who don't seem to have ever been taught typical human interaction etiquette... You'll get 10% of a forced smile upon walking up to the counter, and the Gen Z stare. & today when I went for dinner with my husband, the girl at the counter read our order back to us in the lowest volume she could muster, I had to turn my ear toward her to try to hear better and even then I could barely hear her. And this isn't the first time I've had a subpar experience similar to this with the front counter person. You'll notice a couple other reviews on here also commenting on the subpar service recently. Healthy, nutrient-dense food, quaint ambiance, fair prices, quality service, what more can you ask for? NSG was a random find when I was looking for a spot that offered healthy dishes for dinner. They offer plates, bowls, poke, rolls, and soups. As for drinks, they offer a large selection of teas and kombucha. I got a plate comprised of teriyaki tofu (made spicy), baked sweet potato, and garden veggies with peanut soy dressing. The plate looked huge, but most of it was the garden veggies, which I quickly ate up first with the peanut soy mixed into it all. The tofu was laid out in six, soft squares, but it did not taste as spicy as I expected it to be. I expected the sweet potato to be cut into cubes, but they just had half of it tossed onto my plate. It would have been more pleasant if they had taken the time to cut up the sweet potato so it would have been easier to mix with the other items on my plate. Given my first experience at NSG, I would definitely come here again in the future! read more

The poke is definitely their best thing, although the buddha bowl is a great vegan option and has all cooked veggies! I think the sauces could use some work but the fresh ingredients taste good without sauces. One thing about the sweet potato is that it's a bug chunk of very soft potato rather than the standard roasted diced sweet potato from other places, but tasty nonetheless. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are full of thriving plants. There's hot and cold water available for self-service. The meal options are not cheap but definitely healthy and delicious! Not too tick or light, not too heavy or overpowering. Environment: Nancy or the owner were appreciating and taking care of the plants. It is a very calming place. I guess the plants, soothing music at the right volume, fresh air and cute wall colors are responsible for it. It is great for lunch or a simple dinner. I just finished my delicious, fresh, super tasty healthty meal here. Wow. Actual healthy nutritious food sold in a strip mall. Again, wow. The portions are very generous. The atmosphere here is extremely relaxing. At least when I came here at 3:30 PM on a weekday. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and chill. Healthy, delicious food served up in an environment full of beautiful plants. It's hard to believe this establishment is located in a strip mall. In spite of its unassuming location it's been thriving here for years , even those fateful early years of COVID, and for good reason.  Their main offering is the signature plate for which you choose a protein, a carb, a "salad", and a dressing. They also offer pole bowls and a Buddha bowl. While I like the "choose your own healthy adventure" style I confess to being a little intimidated by the choices, not knowing what would be good together, so I have always opted for the Buddha bowl. The Buddha Bowl is a solid choice and very good but I do wish they had other suggested combinations.   The restaurant itself is lovely thanks especially to the plants. There is a cold case of drinks that appears a little out of place and takes away a bit from the vibe of the place inside. The outdoor seating area is large and beautiful especially at night although there is street noise to contend with which is obviously beyond their control.
