Falafel burger combines the convenience of fast food with the quality of a sit down restaurant to serve you the best of both worlds! The wraps are delicious and so so filling. It's pretty worth for the amount of food you get. And while everything is good, I especially enjoyed the chicken shawarma. I also had my eye on some of the desserts, like I haven't really seen many places serve kunafa, but I'll have to try that next time!
Came in late one afternoon with my family and ordered the falafel burger. Abdul's hospitality is unmatched and his skill in the kitchen absolutely shows. Every time I'm in the area I'll look forward to visiting Austin! Anyone in the area should try it too!!!
While the kafta cheeseburger was decent with a good special sauce and nice herbs it Overshadowed the rest of the burger. The fries were a bit dry in flavor. Service was also a bit rude and the website had an incorrect image. Also one of the employees was smoking close to where people ate. lol if this gets taken down by them paying to remove it. PS the large fries are too large.
food was delicious! my favorite was the shawarma, i got some zataar fries and a burger too. Shawarma was full of flavor and the burger has a special blend of spices that makes it unique! came here for the burger and staying for the shawarma 10/10 service was great, friendly and helpful :) definitely coming back
This place offers fast, fresh, and delicious food at a reasonable price. My son and I had the kofta (beef) and shish tawook (chicken) wraps. Both were extremely delicious, with flavorful sauce and vegetables, wrapped in a warm pita. Get the zaatar seasoned fries, very tasty. They also have regular hamburgers and chicken sandwiches for picky eaters. We ate on the covered patio but you can also get it to go from the drive through.
At first I was sad that my picture had such poor lighting, but after eating the food I'm much more content with using it because it encapsulates my sadness upon finishing my meal. We ordered the falafel cheeseburger and zataar fries separately (upon looking at the menu while writing this review I realized they had a combo option which would have been nice to know). All of this would have been forgiven if the food was good, which I was really excited for and expecting with such a high rating, but the food ended up being frustratingly mediocre. There were hints of adequacy though, the fries looked seasoned, the falafel pattie tasted fine, and the overall sensation of biting into the burger was ultimately pretty satisfying. For the cons though, while the fries looked seasoned, they lacked any texture and were extremely dry, the sauce on the burger just wasn't pleasant in the slightest (wasn't noticable while eating the burger, but I ate some that fell out of the burger and it almost made me gag), and the burger just didn't have any meaningful taste. It's one of the few times I've forced myself to finish a meal, and even then I ended up taking the fries home. Really hope this was just a one off bad showing for this place but judging from the fact there was only 1 person working the entire kitchen and not a single soul when we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday, I feel like the rating hasn't caught up with their decline in quality.
Every time I've seen this place, I kept thinking to myself that "oh I'll go next time" or "I'll definitely go soon but not right now". If anything like this has ever applied to you, just go somewhere and try it. In my case, I can honestly say that I wish I had gone sooner. I'll start off with this right off the bat: not a fan of Mediterranean food, and I was gonna be hesitant going in. But my wife and I saw this place being mentioned on TikTok, and we finally ended up going. The person in the review mentioned getting the grouper wrap and or the falafel wrap. So that's what my wife and I did. She got the falafel and I got the grouper. We both loved it so much. For the grouper, it had a really great taste for the fish and came with a great spicy sauce inside the wrap as well! For my wife, her falafel wrap was incredibly tasty and she loved the french fries on the side. Each combo comes with fries, even though our wrap already had fries inside it, and I ended up getting Cajun fries. And let me tell you those were great too! We couldn't sit outside at the time since it was freezing, but going through the drive thru and we got the food pretty fast considering our order. I can already seeing myself going again, and I literally said so once we were done eating. If you were ever hesitant on going, please go. This place needs more attention from other customers!
Yum! This place was really good! I got the Shish Tawook Sandwich and I really enjoyed it! The sauce was flavorful and the chicken wasn't dry. I love the crunch element added from the French fries and found the half of the sandwich very filling. I definitely wanna come back and try the chicken shawarma. I heard it was very good as well. Prices were not too bad either!
Yummy! My husband and I live right down the road from this place. It's been open for a while now and we kept telling ourselves we were gonna try it, but never did. Until now. And I'm glad we did! The guy who works there and took our order was nice. It was really cold and he told us to get back in our car instead waiting in the cold and then come around to the drive through and he'd give us our food there. Husband got a grouper wrap and I got the falafel wrap. Both got combos which came with fries and a drink. The prices are solid! The food was delicious and the portions are HUGE. I think next time I'll order an extra sauce on the side bc all the sauce was on the side of the veggies and the falafel side was slightly dry. But it wasn't a deterrent. Everything was filling and honestly the fries were so good i barely dipped them in ketchup bc I didn't think it needed them! Hah. We'll be back. Glad we finally gave this place a shot! :)

The chicken shawarma was better than good -- it was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with that authentic Middle Eastern flair. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and take pride in what they serve. And don't even get me started on the Cajun spice fries -- they were to die for! Crispy, hot, and coated in just the right amount of spice for that perfect kick. Paired together, this meal was a total win. If you're craving something bold, satisfying, and full of flavor, Falafel Burger is the place to go. I'll definitely be back! Ask for Abdul his kind service will have you coming back !
Amazing!! We just finished up a late baseball game and even though they were about to close they were so kind and accommodating and was happy to take our order. We got the Beef shawarma, falafel wrap, chicken shawarma, spicy hummus, pistachio baklava, and walnut baklava.... Every single dish was incredible! We are very familiar with shawarma and very critical and picky- this was so fresh, even at 10pm, the ingredients were fresh and exploding with flavor! The location looks like an old sonic drive thru that is converted but the kitchen is well lit and visible to all, clean and bright and the staff was so gracious and gave five star service. We had the food in our hands so quickly and couldn't wait to devour it based on the aromatic smells taunting us on our drive back to the hotel. Thank you soooooo much for staying open a little later so we cooks experience the deliciousness! We might have to return once more before we hit the road home. Will be dreaming of shawarma & baklava tonight!

Upon arrival, you park in one of the spots like Sonic and scan the QR to order in your phone, then simply pick it up at their window. In our case, they handled our food/drinks with SOO much care and brought it out to us. We decided to get out of the car and just eat at the outdoor seating (everything was well maintained/cleaned) under shaded area. I ordered Kofta Cheeseburger Combo with raspberry tea and their Zaatar fries. Everything was hot and freshly made-to-order by their very friendly staff! Never been to this place, so they were kind to offer for me to try their falafel. I usually am one to hold off on falafel, since I am picky on the taste of it usually being too herbal for myself. Once I took a bite of their falafel, then I was very impressed!! Crispy, not dry, freshly made, and delicious! The Zaatar fries are like seasoned fries and they were good especially with the special sauce. My raspberry tea was a bit sweet for myself, but it was still pretty good. The location is super easy to drive into and park to enjoy some yummy food! They have vegan options as well, so everyone can enjoy this local business.
I was looking for the closest restaurant from the 711 on 620 - low and behold there's a old converted Sonic now Falafel Burger connected to the same block As I missed the drive - Thru!!!! But I called in my order The qr code wasn't working but again they have drive thru - order came in 5 minutes piping hot amazing service will come back ! What arrived to me - kofta cheese burger Zatar fries ! on the cute little patio that was just shredding the best "halal" music don't know the specific country made me feel like Iraq eating on my days off (just the music) - Was the most amazing inch by inch bite by bite crumb by Crumb - edge of crust to edge crust had to have been the best tasting burger lb for lb oz for oz crumb for crumb I have ever had ! It had a better tasting burger spices then just the plain Jane Ole Reggie burger (which they do sell I noticed as I enjoyed these delicious creation) They need to expand on the Shawrma and burgers with kofta like kofta dogs shish dogs sujuk wrapped idk haha just so good I want more !!!! Stopped by Falafel Burger after being curious about the restaurant for months (it's an old Sonic). The concept is pretty unique for a middle eastern sandwich/wrap place- being an old Sonic, you can either park in one of the stalls and scan a QR code to order (this option didn't work for me, so I ordered at the front), or another option is going through the actual drive thru. The owner was super friendly and had great customer service. I ordered both the beef and chicken shawarmas, and both were excellent. The pita used was very fresh and soft and tasted unlike the dry ones usually used at other shawarma places. All the flavors were on point and the portion sizes great. This place took over the old Sonic. It was a little strange since they didn't take down the car park or drive through. But I found the drive though to be pretty convenient. They had a selection of wraps, sandwiches, and burgers. We tried the falafel and kafta wrap. The portions were super generous and flavors on-point. The fries it came with could be fresher but overall, everything was delicious! Great value for the portion size. read more

Beef and Chicken Shawarmas are amazing, but the highlight of this family run business is the people and service. Never been happier to support such a great restaurant with the nicest people running it. Its in a converted sonic, with easy order and pick up, convenient to 620/anderson mill with good music on the patio. 10/10 recommend read more

Falafel Burger is a total gem! The customer service was great and the food was excellent! Hands down the best beef shawarma in Austin! Falafel was amazing too. It's such a chill spot with good vibes, an outdoor patio, and even a drive-thru. Very pleased and definitely coming back! Can't wait to try the burger. read more
