Falafel N' More is back! The menu is a bit smaller for now, but the food is still just as good as ever. We got the Chicken Wrap and the Chicken Over Rice. The chicken was super tender, and all the flavors went really well together. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. There's plenty of outdoor seating as well. While I was there, I had a chance to talk with the friendly owner. He shared that he had been away for a few months after a serious accident that left him unable to walk. It was a really tough time, and he nearly lost the business. After four months of rest and recovery, he's finally able to start coming back! I'm not sure what happened to the original Falafel and more?!? At my last visit few days ago, it wasn't the same guy who used to own the food truck. My falafel wrap was mostly lettuce and small pieces of maybe 2 falafel balls sliced in pieces. The hummus was bland, the only plus was the pickled vegetables on the side. I hope if it's a new ownership, they get it together. I'll have to give them some time to hopefully improve and maybe try it again in the near future! read more

I needed a quick lunch and because of their high reviews, I decided to try out Falafel N More! I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, which has rice, chicken shawarma, house salad and baba ganoush topped with a green sauce and garlic sauce. The chicken and baba ganoush was SO tender and flavorful and the rice was really light and airy. It was a huge portion and I even had leftovers for another meal. I initially wanted to order online, but for some reason their website doesn't show the "plate" option, only wraps/sides/drinks/extras. There was a decently long line on a Wednesday afternoon but the service was friendly and prompt, and the food was very fresh! Omgggggg that was good. Like insanely good. The perfect balance of pickled and peppery and garlic and creamy (the green sauce) and fried stuff and lettuce and gahhhh (head explode emoji) Also, the guy was just a real mensch. Big broad smile, just makes you happy to talk to him and send business his way. Also, the fries. Omg the fries. My daughter actually said they might be the best fries she's ever had. And low-key she's a connoisseur. (I mean we. love. fries.) These were in the style of steak fries, kind of a golden fry on them, with just the right amount of saltiness. And the green sauce they come with is divine. I honestly meant to try the fried cauliflower--that sounded fantastic--but they were out at the moment. Next time! I had falafel in Middle East and they were crunchy from the outside and super fluffy from inside. We don't generally get same types of falafel here in Austin. That all changed after eating at Falafel n more. Falafels are almost at that level. Crunchy and perfect texture. Hummus tasted great as well along with the rice. Rice is sauteed with multiple spices and tastes good. Same rice and salad is served with Chicken plate. Chicken is moist juicy and has perfect texture. We had a mixed experience with FnM, we ordered falafel and lamb gyro wrap. Falafel here is one of the best, it's crispy on our side, light and delicious inside, herbs are perfectly balanced, you just can't stop eating them, it's kinda addictive, it's more than 5stars. Wow , I'm genuinely upset I didn't stop here sooner . I drive all over Austin to get half decent Gyros or dry falafels and rite here down the street from where I live are some of the best I've had . I absolutely love when a falafel has a nice crunch on the outside and is moist and lite on the inside , that's exactly what you will get here . The Gyro sandwiches are served on super fluffy soft pita bread and tender Gyro meats all stuffed generously inside. The plates of Gyro or chicken over rice comes with an awesome little salad with a killer dressing and some out of this world hummus . Spices and garlic in every bite with cool veggies to add crunch and perfect balance of texture are sure to make me come back over and over . I was so hesitant at first, I can admit I haven't ever once been to this food truck park and live blocks from it mainly because I get stuck in these fazes of eating the same old food out of comfort and convenience. This year I kind of forgot what yelping and exploring new foods was . I love trying new food and will add this to my top ten quick bites and cravings list no joke it's really worth while food to try . The guy who was working was super friendly and after I ordered he asked if I had ever been there before . After saying no this is my first time he said " I will give you some falafels to try " I being starving was like heck yeah but shamefully in the back of my mind was like they probably just OK , well at least it's free . Then again the other half of me was like this is a falafel food truck I mean it's in the name and if he's that happy to give me a sample he has to know they are delicious AF . Well I'm happy to say it was literally one of the best falafels I've had in a long time . I mean no bs you can taste the love and heritage in those things . Like you know when a recipe has been passed down from your grandmother to your parents and so on ? That's what it taste like ... Probably one of best meals I've ever had. The falafel sandwich was phenomenal. The flavors are true and unbelievably tasty. Since I had to wait a bit, the owner gave me a falafel on a fork with a spicy sauce and it melted in my mouth, yet had a nice crispy outside. Honestly I'm not sure you can beat this falafel!! The hummus was the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. Super creamy and lightly spicy. The salad with homemade dressing on top of the sandwich was perfect with the homemade pita. Wow just WOW!! Best falafels I've heard had in Austin. I've tried several other places and even did a head to head comparison and these are excellent. Only issue is that the truck is randomly closed when it's website says it is open and it often has the online ordering disabled. I had ordered a Lamb and Beef Gyro sandwich. The cashier rang me up and instructed me to wait 10 minutes. While I was still waiting for my order, my coworkers received theirs from the BBQ truck 10 minutes later. When it was finally ready after 25 minutes, my coworkers had finished eating and my lunch break ended. I was forced to bring it back to work and eat at my desk. Even though they had told me it was a Gyro sandwich when I picked it up, I found out they had given me a Falafel sandwich when I got back to the workplace. Even after the lengthy wait, I was looking forward to my meal, but I was upset that the order had been mixed up. This was an excellent find. I happened to be visiting another food truck in the area and glanced over and noticed this particular business was closed due to covid-19. However, returning on a different day, I was pleasantly surprised that they choose to open. The gyro sandwich came highly recommended by several previous patrons. So I placed my order in about 15 minutes, a freshly-made gyro sandwich was delivered. The sandwich was excellent and quite filling. Why did I not know about this truck sooner?? Everything we have tried here is fresh, beautifully plated (even for to-go food!) and bursting with flavor. This is Turkish Mediterranean which is a unique flavor. The falafels were separated from the rest of your food in a paper bag so they don't lose their crunch and were quite flavorful. The baba ghanoush has an incredible smokey flavor, the hummus is perfectly balanced, the grape leaves were nicely flavored and not oily. The cauliflower-holy smokes - was bursting with flavor. We had the chicken shawarma plate, falafel plate, stuffed grape leaves and fried cauliflower. I am not sure what I enjoyed the most as it was all incredible. The family who runs the truck is delightful and patient with all of our questions. Very friendly and prompt service -will definitely go back! read more
