What a dish Soya Chaap (Green Malai). I was told that if customers don't order much Soya Chaap, they will discontinue it. I hope they keep it on the menu. Would live ti try it again next time. Due to an egg shortage, all egg dishes were $1 more than the menu prices. There is plenty of covered seating available. You order your food, receive a pager, and wait until it beeps. Then collect your food at the window and enjoy!

Surti Gotalo

I actually planned on trying another food truck in this food truck park, but that truck was closed when I arrived. So I looked around for the next best option and EggLaari popped up as a new spot that had great reviews. Looking at the menu and pictures of food, the Surti Gotalo looked the most interesting. I ordered, got medium spice level, and got a pager to wait for my food. It didn't take long before my food arrived to-go (maybe 10 minutes). Surti Gotalo - the dish came with some toasted buns (mine were like Hawaiian rolls sized) and some fresh onions, which I happily poured all over the dish. Apparently, this is a popular street in India, and it had the feeling of street food, easy to eat, jam-packed with flavor. The saucy part, reminded me of a saucy egg salad, except with a ton of Indian spices, and I didn't get any of that gross egg-salad scent either. There was also a sunny side egg on top, which gave it a nice egg richness flavor. Overall, I quite enjoyed the dish, I think if I had one note, it would be that it felt like a quick snack or breakfast. I finished it all in like 5 minutes. I would've liked a little more substance, or maybe more bread to eat with it.

New food truck!!

New foodtruck that opened in North Austin. We stopped by on a Saturday and it was getting some attention so we decided to try it. Overall the food was delicious! Definitely had a street food vibe but you can tell the owners care about their cuisine. They also have string lights and benches out for patrons to use!

Paneer gatoli

Paneer gotalo was bursting with flavors and spices. Get the spice level medium for your spice fix. Roti is the run of the mill and easily passable. It's made with maida and gets stale pretty quickly. Chopped onions made a perfect accompaniment with the paneer. Would come back for the egg dishes and sit down to eat at the venue. The outdoor seating space is vibrant

Hakka Express

Been craving Indo-Chinese for over a year now and finally had a chance to eat some. We picked Hakka…read moreExpress which is a food truck in a large food truck park, because it was a large order and the prices were the best among the now 5-7 stable Indo-Chinese spots in the greater North Austin area. The food truck park was pretty busy with a bunch of Indian food trucks along with a variety of other cuisines. They had ample covered seating and pretty lights for ambiance. Service was fine. There's also signage that says Halal so my parents ate here as well which was super convenient. We ordered lollipop chicken, Schezwan lollipop chicken, tandoori chicken fried rice, chicken Schezwan noodles, and chicken Hakka noodles. Price came to about $65 before tax. The noodle and rice dishes came completely packed and we were really surprised and happy about that. Really amazing portions. To rate each dish: Lollipop Chicken - 9/10: These are wings to resemble lollipops, marinated in spices, and deep fried. Absolutely nostalgic and hit all the right spots. Schezwan Lollipop Chicken - 9/10: Similar to the above but tossed in a spicy Schezwan sauce. It was excellent & wifeys favorite though I prefer the original as it's crisper and dry while this is wetter. Tandoori Chicken Fried Rice - 7/10: Fried rice with pieces of tandoori chicken. This was okay and not my favorite mainly due to it being a bit dry. They did load it up with a ton of chicken though. Chicken Schezwan Noodles - 8/10: Love the color, wife's 2nd favorite. I prefer the Hakka noodles but this was a solid choice. Chicken Hakka Noodles - 9/10: Totally hit the spot with the right flavors. Milder than the rest and just what I was wanting. Overall, I liked the food. I don't eat Indo-Chinese often but I wouldn't mind ordering the chicken lollipops or Hakka noodles again. The problem at this location its very chicken-heavy. I get why there's no beef, but I do wish there was some variety with shrimp/prawn or lamb/goat.

FAST FACTS: * Parking: decent size lot near the food park but it can be hard to find a spot when it's busy * Walk up and order at the truck... you'll get a pager to let you know when your order is ready * Outdoor seating: lots of picnic tables around the truck * Accepts credit cards * Closed Monday SERVICE: The workers I interacted with at both trucks were friendly! I ordered at 7:19 pm on a Friday night and my order was ready at 7:28 pm. There was no line when I ordered. PRICING: The total was $14.06 after tax ($1.07) but before tip for the chicken hakka noodles ($12.99). I feel like the pricing was in line with the other food trucks in the park and is incredibly reasonable for the portion size. CHICKEN HAKKA NOODLES (7/10) - You get a MASSIVE portion of noodles with egg, chicken, bell pepper, cabbage, carrot, and green onion. The vegetables were all fresh and crisp and the chicken was cooked well... some pieces were crispier than others. The flavor overall was good but doesn't blow you away... it isn't overly saucy but it has enough to keep all the ingredients moist. I'd order this again... especially if I want a lot of food for the price. I also got momo from Momo Express... I can't find a Yelp listing for it so I'll leave my review here: CHICKEN SCHEZWAN MOMO (8/10) - Fantastic! The momo are crispy and you get a nice portion of bell pepper and onion with them. The worker warned me that these were spicy but I feel like the spice level was exactly what I would expect for schezwan... you get that slight numb feeling in the front of your mouth but it isn't overbearing. The overall flavor was great! I'd order this again! Hakka Express was pretty good but Momo Express impressed me more with the flavor and crispiness of the momo. The next time I'm at the food truck park, I'd grab some momo but would probably skip the noodles and would recommend others do the same.

I love sweet chutney and requested for some extra on the side. They graciously provided the same and didn't charge extra. The vada pav was huge and tasted great as well. My friend got pav bhajji and papdi chaat. He said the pav bhajji was authentic and reminded him of the pav bhajji in Mumbai. He loved the papdi chaat and found it yummy. All in all, we had a great experience. The food truck and picnic tables actually made the experience like the street chaat stalls in India. The food is authentic and fresh. Go check it out!

My teenager introduced me to the place as he and his friends like it enough to often spend their own hard earned money there which says a lot. I feel like the rice could have benefitted from a bit more seasoning but I loved the plantains. For beverages we each decided to try one of their specialty beverages, Soursop and Sorrel. Realizing we were rookies when we ordered them, they were kind enough to offer us a taste of them just to be sure we liked them before paying for them which I appreciated. My teenager chose the sweet version of the Soursop while I had the Sorrel which reminded me of kambucha. This food truck is one of the most reliably open food trucks in this area. While the hubs and I are still married, next time we will take a helicopter to the waterfalls in Hana. Smile. I ordered the Teriyaki & Shoyu Chicken bowl. The chicken was tender with a deep, smoky char that Pacific Flame Island gets from their black iron grill. The accompanying rice was flavorful and enjoyable to eat.
