She was attentive, patient, never made us feel rushed while ordering, and helped guide us through the menu since so many of the dishes were new to us. And the FOOD... the flavors and cook on everything were what really separated this place from others we've tried. The mutton was incredibly well seasoned, tender, and easily one of our favorite dishes. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and our shrimp dish actually had a solid amount of shrimp, all plump and cooked just right. The garlic naan was LOADED with garlic in the best way and stayed soft and fluffy throughout the entire meal, which is surprisingly rare, plus most places never put enough garlic. We ordered everything medium spice and were honestly impressed that the spice level actually matched what we expected. It had the perfect amount of heat to make you feel it, but not so much that it covered up the flavor. We LOVE spice, so it was refreshing to have "medium" actually bring some heat while still letting all those spices and ingredients shine. If you're sensitive to spicy just note, it might be a little hot for you, depending on what you order. The daily special benne dosa was another standout, crispy, buttery, and the sauces served with it were OUTSTANDING. Even dessert surprised us. The Carrot Halwa topped with ice cream was phenomenal and the perfect way to finish. Every dish had such developed, layered flavor like it had been cooking forever soaking up all those spices and fresh ingredients. This has officially been added to our favorite restaurants in Austin, and we can absolutely see why Infatuation Austin rated it one of the Top 25 restaurants. Hands down the best Indian restaurant we've been to to date. We just moved to Leander, so we're VERY excited they're opening a location closer to us. Highly recommend!

One friend tried to order kal dosa and was told they didn't have it, at which point the waitress again told us what things we should order and then stated 'this is our soft launch, so we don't have some things'. I'd planned on ordering Mangalore Squid for my entree but realized at this point that despite the size of the menu, it was clear that they were only cooking and serving specific items. Everything that we ordered was delicious, beautifully served, and came out hot and quick. I have zero complaints about the food. Once the bill came, the same pushy waitress put down a giant, laminated QR code and insisted we leave a review. We paid, she left, then looped back around, tapped on the QR code and said 'You leaving a review is the most important thing to us' then walked off again. She then came back a third time, said 'are you done with this??' and snatched the QR code so some other table could be pressured into a review I assume. As we were leaving, we merged with another group outside that was discussing their meal and commenting on things reflecting our experience. I told them I could tell them exactly what they ordered despite not being at their table, and then rattled off what we'd been told to order; it was item for item. So my main complaint here is print out a menu that reflects what you're serving. You can't 'soft launch' forever and its actually not fair to your wait staff to set up a menu that results in them having to tell people multiple times that something isn't available while also simultaneously pressuring the table into ordering what IS available. The vada pav tasted spoilt unfortunately. It tasted old and stale. I was really looking forward to the vada pav so that was a bummer. However, for normal chaats, this was still a good spot that we discovered. I hope they take precaution and make fresh vada pav.
