Awesome recommendations and even better food. Get one Dosa and one of the street fried rices and you'll be golden

Great vegetarian food choice! I was not planning on a vegetarian rescue meal (I did not eat…read morebreakfast and lunch at work) but I picked the veggie pizza sandwich and surprisingly delish! I may have asked for naan bread instead of the sandwich bread they have but the taste of the sandwich was so good! They have the buzzer to get your order when it's ready. You can eat on site they actually have two tables if you choose to eat on site. I ordered mine as takeout. Great value I only ate half and was full already! Clean and with parking adjacent to the gas station. Recommended!

It has a nice crunch from the fried dough and other fresh ingredients cut through the richness of the dough. Pani puri comes with a good portion of radha and chutney. The chutney is a bit salty in my experience. Would've been better if it was a bit more on the tangy and minty side. This food truck uses red onion in their food, which makes you not have strong onion breath. Rose falooda is creamy and delicious. The ice cream in there is more like icy, not the traditional ice cream texture. It has lots of toppings, such as dried fruit, slivered almonds, chopped pistachio, and basil seeds. The crunch from nuts and basil seeds, the sweetness from dried fruit, the slight tang from dried raisin, the creaminess of milk and the aroma of rose combined in a perfect sweet treat. There're several tables and benches but no umbrellas, so it'll be really hot to eat there in Texas summer. Service is efficient and food comes out very fast.

Came in this time planning a minimal lunch (just soup/appetizer), and ordered food for take away…read more As always, portions are fresh and generous, and the to go order was ready to go when we were. Still an awesome value for the quality and quantity of food we get, and we appreciate the adjustable spice levels! They always ask, and then double check after the food is served, to make sure it's what you wanted. I like extra spicy, and they gave me the "make the gori cry" level, and the Hop Queen likes extra mild, and it fits her tolerance well.

The portion sizes were generous too, so you definitely get good value for your money. Service - 10/10: The service really stood out. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. They checked in on us throughout the meal without being intrusive, which made us feel well taken care of. Ambiance - 7/10: The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but the atmosphere is fairly simple. It's not a place I'd choose for a fine dining experience, but it's perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. One small change that could make a big difference would be swapping the bright white lighting for warmer yellow lighting--it would instantly create a cozier, more inviting vibe. Overall: If you're craving authentic North Indian food in the Austin area, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Great food, excellent service, generous portions, and a satisfying dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

This place is right around the corner so I decided to give it a whirl…read more I ordered online, and got there to pick up at the time it said it would be ready. There was one customer waiting, and not another person. I waited about ten minutes. My son loves chicken Tikka masala, so we ordered him some. It is spicy. I'm into a moderate spice, and this is burning my lips as I type. There was no option when ordering online to determine level of spice so we weren't ready for that. Beyond the spice the chicken was tough, so even if the spice was toned down the chicken wasn't great. The tandoori chicken is nice and flavorful and tender. $17 for three drumsticks and two thighs might be a bit steep. Overall not an overwhelmingly good experience.

The restaurant is clean, well decorated and ready for your visit! The staff are super friendly. I drove home with my order and it was piping hot and spectacular. Chicken tikka is spicy, mildly sweet and so delicious. A great way to conquer allergy season! The paneer butter masala had a lot of paneer. Many other locals have tiny bits of paneer in a sea of gravy. At Tamarind you will not be disappointed! Don't miss the potato samosas... Come on Austin, let's show these guys more lunch time love!
