    Buche And barbacoa tacos
    Olivia M.

We were craving street tacos and we stopped to try them out here. Well, while the seating accommodations were lacking, we ordered the buche tacos and barbacoa tacos and we were pleasantly surprised! They give you double tortillas with each taco and they had onions and cilantro on top and the salsa in a jar to add to your tacos! They were not greasy and they were delicious! If you are craving Mexican Street tacos, this is the place to eat them at. They have a drive through which I would recommend since they only have like 10 stools to seat at and they have a variety of can and bottled sodas for you to drink. They don't offer tea , but we truly enjoyed the tacos! We will definitely come back!

    The taco trailer.

Well, another taco truck/trailer.. I saw it here the other day, but it was closed, so I think they must have just been in the process of opening (a new location).. or moving (from a previous Location) maybe? Not sure. While I waited on my order I looked at reviews for the locations.. and the low stars were a little bothersome, especially from a few select Yelpers I've come to like and respect (in the way of reviews).. I was sure hoping I would have a better experience.. for a couple reasons.. I was hungry as hell and I don't like having writing negative reviews for local joints, but the way I see it.. If I write one way, I need to write both... So it saddens me when a local place falls short. Im happy this little trailer did not disappoint this morning! Breakfast tacos $1.75 for 3 items and $.25 for additional items. can't go wrong with that. I ordered Bean, Egg, and Cheese Potato, Egg, and Cheese and they came with green sauce and red sauce. The tortilla... well, I could very much be wrong about this, but they sure tasted homemade.. not store-bought. And if they were, well, then I'd like to know where they came from, cause they were really good. Had a different flavor that reminded me of the tortillas a lady used to make for us when I was younger. The potato was, thankfully, "al dente" if you will.. and had a great flavor. The egg was fried nicely, more of a fried texture, then a soft scramble, which was a nice change. The beans also had a great flavor and were wholesome.. not a pile of mush, yet cooked completely. The tacos were filled generously, IMO.. no skimping there. The sauce? Yikes.. both of them had WONDERFUL flavors, but they were both too spicy for me. I really loved the flavor of the green sauce (avocado sauce) but could not handle the heat it packed. The service was spot on, Friendly. With a smile. Not a lot of chitter chatter (language thing, Im sure.. no problem though) Had no troubles ordering, or knowing she needed quarters as she was apparently running low.. and it just happened that I had about $10 worth in my bag that were left over from the kids at the festival. So we traded... helped us both out. I lightened my load and she has change now! Are they best? Probably not. Are they pretty good? Yes Service good? Yes Full of flavor? Yes Timely Service? Yes Will I go back? Oh yeah...absolutely.

For the price, you'd be much better off at Torchy's. The quality of all of the meats is subpar, with the exception of the fish taco. We sampled the chicarron, carne guisada, taco pescado, al pastor, fajita taco and a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast taco. Everything was spicy except for the fajita and breakfast taco. The horchata has too much cinnamon and is way too sweet. Extremely disappointed and won't be coming back

The El Tacorrido on North Lamar is small and unassuming but the food is nothing similar to the pint-sized restaurant. The breakfast tacos are a massive rush of Latinax/Hispanic flavors, the beef tacos pack a forceful punch in all the right places, and the beef torta is an epic sandwich that even the hulk couldn't smash Needless to say I love El Taccorrido. The pricing is beyond fair and inexpensive. The women who give the restaurant life and my stomach tasteful bliss are kind, sassy but professional, and are open to giving us non-Spanish squares a patient chance to butcher their language with grace.

The food is spot on but if you're going for breakfast be prepared to have a long wait. Definitely recommend the chorizo!

Not great. Tacos smelled weird, Gordita fell apart, and the chicken had a lot of chewy fat that didn't taste good.

One of my go to taco places in all of Austin. Locally owned, quick service, and fantastic food.

Can anyone tell me, on the egg/bacon breakfast tacos, is the bacon one whole strip or cut- up pieces mixed in the eggs? Do they make any of their own fresh tortillas?

I love mushrooms and thought about trying the Laughing Buddha which has a breaded/fried mushroom caps with cheese in between, but it might have been a bit too much cheese so I went with the Double Cheeseburger. The double cheeseburger is pretty much everything you want in a solid burger. 2 juicy smashed patties, perfectly melted cheese, and a great balance of toppings without being messy. The flavor is bold and beefy, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. It's the kind of burger that hits the spot from the first bite to the last. The cajun fries were super crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and the onion rings ended up being one of the standout sides. They were thick-cut, crunchy, and not greasy at all, with a light batter that let the onion actually shine. Both dip well in their nirvana sauce. Service was friendly, and food came out hot. If you're craving a classic, well-made burger meal in Austin, Buddha Burger is absolutely worth a visit. Value wise, I'm still a Buddy's Burger fan as they're also super solid, but Buddha Burger is great too if you're in the area. Do be careful going up and down their stairs to order/pick up order.

The chicken is excellent, but the fries deserve a special mention, they're perfectly crispy and coated in a cheesy, spiced seasoning that's completely unique and insanely good.
