This has easily become one of my go-to spots. The food is consistently excellent, portions are generous, and there's enough variety and customization that you can make it exactly what you're craving. I'm particularly loyal to the Super Duper, especially with mixed proteins, and it never disappoints. But what really puts this place over the top is the service. Julio, the manager, is an absolute class act. He's incredibly attentive, always makes sure my order is exactly how I want it, and somehow manages to be genuinely friendly and upbeat every single time I'm there. That kind of consistency is rare and it makes a huge difference. Great food will get you through the door, but great people turn you into a regular. This place has both. Couldn't recommend it more highly, and if you're in the area wondering whether it's worth a stop, the answer is absolutely yes. read more

Started coming here two years ago when relocating to the neighborhood from Pittsburgh. While it's a chain (shops in Cali, this one, and I believe one in Pflugerville), the quality of the food that comes out is far from institutionalized corporate chain junk. Everything is always fresh and made to order. The tabouleh is actually really decent. Grilled saffron chicken, saffron rice, perfectly seasoned and flavored. I usually get the chicken kebab plate. Other items I've had and can recommend are the wraps (usually go with building my own), I also really love the steak and chimichurri bowl. My boyfriend is crazy about the kebab fries, falafel, and different bowls as well as wraps and platter dishes. I'll often add a side of grilled veggies to my order (peppers, zucchini, etc.). Huge portions always means leftovers when not sharing a meal with my boyfriend. It's a convenient location for us especially if we're taking big walks and want to fuel up beforehand or fill up afterwards. Counter service is helpful and friendly. I ordered from the kebab shop through uber eats. I had the bowl and then also tried their falafel and hummus. The falafel and hummus were great. The bowl was only okay. The chicken was a little weird and I avoided it. The bowl overall had a little bit of a strange chemical ish taste. I don't regret trying it and wouldn't be opposed to trying again. This is such a good place. I love how you can just customize your order with everything that you want. When you arrive, you can order on your own or you can have somebody come up to the register and help you order. Everyone there is so nice and they're very quick to get your order fast. They also do online orders, which is great so you just show up and pick it up. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything there and let me tell you though you definitely need to order the french fries because they are so good. I don't know what they do to them. That makes them taste amazing. I am always between the bowl and the wrap, the wrap just taste so good because that rap taste like authentic Tortilla. I don't know how to explain it but it's delicious so you definitely have to try it. Also, I love the bowl because sometimes I just want a bunch of rice and lettuce and all the proteins which makes it really good. Also make sure that you get a little bit of every sauce. August 10, 2025 review: ----- We tried this place during lunch around 1-1:30pm time and it was pretty empty, just one table reserved I believe. My husband and I got two wraps- San Diego and Super Duper, Both wraps are huge- either two people can eat from one wrap (I'm referrinng to good hungry good people) or If you eat by yourself, it's easily two meals for one person. We didn't know about the size and got one each. San Diego had the falafel with saffron rice, some of the side toppings, hummus and Tzatziki dip. For super duper, we had the falafal with fries, no rice and other toppings. I must say both of the wraps were pretty dry. I added a lot of side sauce while eating later on. The side sauce are kept at the corner of restaurant and incuded, OG yogurt, fire chilli and green spicy tangy sauce. Parking garage is located just next to the restaurant and parking ticket gets validated so that's pretty good. Restrooms are available but need code, cleanliness is ok. I put myself on a (mostly) Mediterranean diet about a year ago. TKS delivers healthy, delicious, reasonably priced Mediterranean food, on so many levels: - A great assortment of fresh protein, grain and veggie choices that you can mix and match - Fast and friendly service - Good value; fairly priced - Delicious - Dine-in or takeout I have no desire to eat at the restaurant and for this reason alone, I am knocking off one star. I do love the humongous wraps at The Kebab Shop. Made with thin, easy to digest tortilla style pita bread and filled with your choice of protein and a plethora of delicious toppings and finger licking sauces. We have tried the falafel and chicken shawarma wraps and both are great. The wraps are big enough for a meal and next day snack for me. You order at the counter and food preparation, serving is fairly quick. I also really like the TKS story printed on the walls of the restaurant. This is somewhat like a fast food Mediterranean restaurant. You order at the counter either via self ordering kiosk or by the person manning the counter. Orders come out fairly quick. They have sauce containers and sauces on the side near the drink station, so you can load up on extra sauces to add to your meal. I liked the cilantro jalapeño sauce (it's not that spicy). The portion size is huge! The wrap I got was almost as long as the tray. I did ask for sauce inside the wrap, but I didn't really taste any, but luckily I had the extra sauce that I grabbed from the counter. Taste-wise, it did feel a bit lacking without the extra sauce on the side. Didn't realize this was a chain - I hope I can visit the one near me in Northern California soon! read more

Two first's today at Kebab. Dined on the patio and tried a wrap. It was such a beautiful sunny day and its not crazy hot outside quite yet. Nice little patio to enjoy lunch and people watch. I went with the Rice Rice Baby Wrap with Steak and added Spicy Hummus. Super refreshing and the steak was very tender and juicy. I only was able to eat half as the wrap is HUGE, but i like that the wrap flatbread is on the thinner side and not super filling. Don't forget to pair it with their yummy sauces. Fun location in the heart of downtown Austin and it shares the same vibe and standards of cleanliness as every other location I've been to, which is a good thing. Service was friendly and I ordered myself a falafel wrap. It was delicious and just what I needed after a day of traveling. The wrap was soft and warm, stuffed to the brim with freshly fried falafel with a crunchy exterior and a nice malleable center. This wasn't my first rodeo, cowboy - I also got that sucker filled up with some spicy hummus. Always a good call. Food was awesome and it totally hit the spot. Been here maybe 3 times now since they opened and surprisingly its not very busy compared to the one in San Diego. Customer service has been great each time, very friendly and they will give you their recommendations if youre indecisive like me. My go to is the gyro wrap with lamb/beef everything on it.
