For a food truck parked a block from hotel in which we took back some small snack items of hummus, bread and falafel, we thought this was pretty good. A great snack for afternoon really. The falafel was warm, fresh and perfectly cooked. It came with bread and two great dipping sauces which were good and added unique flavor to the falafel outside a normal hummus dip. The hummus was fresh too and had almost a small olive oil float to it which was tasty. It too came with bread. The guy behind the register was smily and seemed grateful for our business. We would not hesitate to recommend and also eat an actual meal here the next time we were in Austin. I was looking for a place to eat after ACL this weekend and I saw this place was open late so I was instantly interested. We were STARVING and let me tell you we got a spread, we got the fries, the hummus, the chicken wings, the chicken shawarma and the tikka chicken. IT WAS SO GOOD. It's bland without sauce though. I also got the gyro wrap which was delicious. Both are under $10 and adds variety to the options in the area. A 12oz can of soda is about $1.60. My wife and I ventured east on MLK for some frozen yogurt and lo and behold a food truck serving Halal goodies was in the parking lot. We reviewed the menu and decided on the combo over rice and a chicken shwarma over rice. Within 10 minutes, the chef/owner presented us with 2 hot meals. My wifes wrap was filled with tender chicken, lettuce and sauce which was spicy. And, I was presented with the combo over rice. I routinely get this combination and wasn't disappointed.
