I stopped by MezzeMe on a whim when I was looking for lunch in the Triangle and I'm glad I did! I arrived around 1pm on a Wed and it was pretty hopping so don't expect it to be empty just because its a weekday! I put in a to-go order for a kibbeh wrap; the price seemed typically high for the area, but when I got my order its quite a sizable wrap so all-in-all a pretty good deal! The food did take about 20 minutes to come out- I wasn't going to complain as there was a line of people the whole time so I could tell it was busy, but when I did get my food they apologized for the wait and gave me some free baklava so even if there had been hard feelings that would have 100% fixed it lol I'm a huge baklava fan and had actually been considering adding some onto my order but didn't because of the long line! So service was great, but most importantly- the food! The kibbe wrap was huge; I managed to finish the whole thing but in two different sittings lol. The kibbe was generous, and the pieces were flavorful and juicy. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the whole thing was lightly sauced but the flavor of the kibbe popped enough that I didn't think it needed more sauce. Delicious and I would 100% order again. Plus the (free!) baklava was top notch! Sometimes you get the ones where the filo dough is a little tough/chewy and it still tastes great but the texture isn't there- not with this baklava! It was tender, delicious, and a perfect end to the meal. Parking was limited on the street but I believe the Triangle has garages also- I was able to snag a short term parking spot for MezzeMe which is actually why I originally decided to check it out! read more

Lamb beyti - loved the flavors here, kinda was giving a Mediterranean take on ravioli in the to-go box. Not sure if that was meant to happen, but we enjoyed this and the sauce on it! The mezze platter was mostly fantastic--though the red pepper hummus wasn't quite to our taste, everything else was delightful. I absolutely loved the beauty and the beets salad! THE BLACK AND WHITE: This place is always busy! We came here on a thursday afternoon for dinner and you first order at the front, then you get a number and the dishes get brought to you. Also at the front is the dessert displays, which is smart because we definitely got one. For food, we got the iskender, lamb beyti, and roasted red pepper Hummus. The bread is a lil stale but that's not suppose to be the main part of the meal. The iskender was nice and hefty however the star of the show was the lamb beyti. Lamb was cooked perfectly and wrapped around the pita with a nice serving of yogurt. To round out the meal, we got a baklava cheesecake pistachio dessert for dessert. All desserts are made in house and daily. It was so good with the filo serving as the crust and the cheese being super creamy. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overlal the damage done was about $75 for the feast. The pita was soft, fresh, and delicious, and the hummus was creamy with great flavor. We also tried the Truffle Feta Fries, which were just okay--I was hoping they'd be crispier with a stronger truffle flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Forever Falafel, Lahmacun, Falafel Pita Pocket, and Chicken Shish Kebap Pita Pocket. The fillings were flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. Came here as our first stop for dinner while on vacation in Austin, and we were pleasantly surprised with this place. I come here exclusively for the pistachio baklava cheesecake. The parking situation is a bit of a headache but totally worth it. I've only ever ordered takeout at the counter so I can't speak to the dine-in experience, but the service is smooth and efficient. Dessert is ready in about 5 minutes and food orders during busy dinner hours have taken around 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all given how packed they get. Everything is always packaged nicely and securely, and the food is consistently delicious. They also carry other sweets worth trying like honey cakes and pistachio baklava. On the savory side, some dishes I've really enjoyed are the Mezze Platter, Beef and Lamb Doner, and Ribeye Steak Shish Kebab. It's not super loud but the front can get a bit overstimulating when it's busy, so if you're not a fan of crowds I'd recommend coming outside of peak hours. This most recent time, I didn't realize until I was home that they forgot to pack one of the baklava cheesecakes I'd ordered. I have been wanting to try this place for years! I've heard so many good things and it really did not disappoint. The food is so delicious and taste healthy even though it's rich and flavor. The restaurant is located in the triangle and parking is limited. This restaurant also gets pretty busy the later you wait so go early and better for smaller groups of people rather than a large crowd. Seating is limited and they have shared table top seating, so you have to be comfortable sitting with others. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The only problem we had was someone trying to breathe down our neck while they waited for us to leave so they could sit in our spot. It was kind of unpleasant and so adding more seating would be my only feedback.We had the MA platter which consisted of multiple hummus and eggplant dish with tomatoes and potatoes and olives and tabouli. This is a great plate to share with the pita bread. I also had the lamb beyti like a lamb kebab in a wrap cut up with delicious savory sauce and dusted with pistachio. Stood in line then were told what we already knew then asked to get out of line and would let us know when we could sit and she would take our order. Great. We ordered and our food came out one at a time. All foods were not hot, nor warm. The falafels and truffle fries were already cool by the time it made it to the table. Soups and entrees also were not hot, a slight warmth next to cool. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. The pistachio cheesecake was delicious, the carrot baklava great but tasted like a standard baklava, the layered honey cake wasn't bad, it was slightly dry in my opinion. My favorite spot for quick and classic Mediterranean food. I love the order at the front and find a seat style establishment. All of the workers are super nice and the restaurant has a really comforting homemade vibe. They provide complimentary pita bread and hummus which are so good it's almost addicting. I always order the chicken or lamb plates because they have everything you could ask for. The meats are always cooked and spiced to perfection and I am a sucker for pickled vegetables for which there are many. I love combining all the ingredients and wrapping them in the pita bread. After you're done ordering, you'll take your number and sit down at a table of your choosing. They'll bring the food over to you. The restaurant kind of reminds you of Chipotle? The texture reminded me of dry Greek yogurt. I was a bit disappointed with the governors plate. The lamb kebab was the best out of everything. All the other meats tasted really dry, almost as if they microwaved left overs or meats that were sitting around. I've either eaten here or gotten takeout from here several times before. Most times, it's been reasonable, but recently their Adana kebabs have become obnoxiously salty. They were seasoned just fine before! I've been favoring their Iskender for lunch, which hits the right notes. Tomato sauce and meat slices over chunked up pita bread, and a side of yogurt to balance it out. They provide a grilled shishito pepper on the side, with a grilled tomato and some parsley. If dining in, it comes on a platter. Their other entrees come with a standardized set of sides: usually rice, ezme salad, pickled red cabbage, sumac seasoned red onions, and tzatziki sauce. Also comes with a pita. Their salmon comes on a thin plank and seems to be cooked well. Their falafel are flat cylinders that are reasonably tasty. The stuffed grapes leaves here are small, but still mighty. They are more spiced than they are sour. You order first at the counter. They'll give you a number and you find a place to sit. Your food will be brought out to you. There is a mix of tables, both low and high, as well as some booth seating. Their menu uses icons to indicate inclusion of certain types of ingredients or allergens. This can be helpful for those wishing to stick with or avoid certain foods. One of my favorite Mediterranean spots in Austin! I came for lunch on a Wed. and the place was popping! The outdoor lot is small, but there are plenty of parking spots in the garage near by. As soon as you walk in, you place your order then find a seat. There are a few tables outside and a few booths and tables inside. We didn't have an issue finding a table. I ordered the Doner Plate. The portion was huge and you can order bread on the side. The pita is so so soft. The dish was really good and flavorful. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Services is quick. Had read about this place in an Article a few years ago when it first opened up. Stored it in the back of my mind for someday. That someday came yesterday when my niece had suggested for her birthday lunch. It's been awhile since I've been to the Triangle and was pleasantly surprised at all the different eateries. We ordered a small cup of the lemon chicken orzo soup, the Fire Roasted Eggplant appetizer and two plates with a Turkish Hot tea. Everything was delicious. The bread they gave us was so light and fluffy. The soup so comforting and the size of the plates were very generous as well as colorful. I got the Meatball player... A little different than I was expecting but damn delicious nonetheless! The picked cabbage and onions pulled all the flavors together along with the perfectly cooked rice.Si ended up ordering a slice of honey cake to go. Saw this place on Instagram and came to try it with the family. Between 7 of us we tried quite a few different dishes. I got the Governor's plate to get a sampling of the different meats. Out of the various meats, to my surprise I felt like the chicken was the highlight. It was tender and juicy. My son ordered the fried chicken which I've never seen at a greek/Mediterranean restaurant. When it came out the chicken looked a little weird, almost like chicharron, so at first I thought not quite what I was expecting and my son is not going to like it, but I tried a piece and it was delicious. He also loved it. We also got a meatball plate and the meatballs are flat like sausage patties which was interesting. My other daughter got a doner wrap which I took a bite of and it was good, nothing over the top amazing, but if you are in the mood for a wrap it will do the job. Overall it was a nice lunch.
