Wife and I love this place. It is insanely good and popular. I ordered take out and it was ready in 15 minutes. Problem is they are so famous and there was a line outside the door. Luckily i bypassed the line, walked up and grabbed my order. Love this place and food l.
Really good food here. Service is good. Complementary bread if you dine in. I recommend trying the turkish beer The portion sizes are fitting for the price. Their rice is more on the moist side, which is my only down for this place. Everything else is really good. Fair amount of seats outside and inside. Parking can be hectic if you want a closer spot.
THE BIG: Mediterranean Turkish spot in the Triangle of Central Austin. Homey interior with outdoor seating available. Parking is plenty with garages around. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This place is always busy! We came here on a thursday afternoon for dinner and you first order at the front, then you get a number and the dishes get brought to you. Also at the front is the dessert displays, which is smart because we definitely got one. For food, we got the iskender, lamb beyti, and roasted red pepper Hummus. The bread is a lil stale but that's not suppose to be the main part of the meal. The iskender was nice and hefty however the star of the show was the lamb beyti. Lamb was cooked perfectly and wrapped around the pita with a nice serving of yogurt. To round out the meal, we got a baklava cheesecake pistachio dessert for dessert. All desserts are made in house and daily. It was so good with the filo serving as the crust and the cheese being super creamy. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overlal the damage done was about $75 for the feast. Highly recommend this place as the flavors, atmosphere and service was top notch. Will be back soon.
I stopped by MezzeMe on a whim when I was looking for lunch in the Triangle and I'm glad I did! I arrived around 1pm on a Wed and it was pretty hopping so don't expect it to be empty just because its a weekday! I put in a to-go order for a kibbeh wrap; the price seemed typically high for the area, but when I got my order its quite a sizable wrap so all-in-all a pretty good deal! The food did take about 20 minutes to come out- I wasn't going to complain as there was a line of people the whole time so I could tell it was busy, but when I did get my food they apologized for the wait and gave me some free baklava so even if there had been hard feelings that would have 100% fixed it lol I'm a huge baklava fan and had actually been considering adding some onto my order but didn't because of the long line! So service was great, but most importantly- the food! The kibbe wrap was huge; I managed to finish the whole thing but in two different sittings lol. The kibbe was generous, and the pieces were flavorful and juicy. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the whole thing was lightly sauced but the flavor of the kibbe popped enough that I didn't think it needed more sauce. Delicious and I would 100% order again. Plus the (free!) baklava was top notch! Sometimes you get the ones where the filo dough is a little tough/chewy and it still tastes great but the texture isn't there- not with this baklava! It was tender, delicious, and a perfect end to the meal. Parking was limited on the street but I believe the Triangle has garages also- I was able to snag a short term parking spot for MezzeMe which is actually why I originally decided to check it out!
We visited MezzeMe on a Saturday for dinner and had about a 30-minute wait. The highlight of the meal was the complimentary warm pita and hummus. The pita was soft, fresh, and delicious, and the hummus was creamy with great flavor. We also tried the Truffle Feta Fries, which were just okay--I was hoping they'd be crispier with a stronger truffle flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Forever Falafel, Lahmacun, Falafel Pita Pocket, and Chicken Shish Kebap Pita Pocket. The fillings were flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. The only downside was that the pita pockets were served cold and felt a little dry. I'd recommend ordering the Forever Falafel and enjoying it with the complimentary warm pita instead. We finished with the pistachio baklava and honey cake, and both desserts were delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back to try more dishes.
Came here as our first stop for dinner while on vacation in Austin, and we were pleasantly surprised with this place. We really enjoyed our Lamb beyti and it was our first time trying it, we are hooked now! We also ordered the honey cake and the baklava cheesecake and they didn't disappoint! Our favorite was the cheesecake, it was so fresh and not overly sweet. We also had some black Turkish teas offered to us for free by the manager, or the owner, super nice guy.
Another nice meal today. I had the Mezze Meatballs. They were soft and easy to cut even with my fork. The veggies (onion, cabbage, relish) and cucumber tzaziki sauce that are on the side with the meatballs and rice added a real nice flavor. The food came fast and with a smile! The place was clean including the outdoor seating. Thanks Mezzeme!
Overall: 3.6/5 [delivery] We ordered on UberEats and the food arrived on time. Governor's Mixed Kebap Plate ($26.95): The plate came with chicken, köfte meatballs, ground lamb kebap (adana), ezme, pickled red cabbage, onion, rice, and a sauce. I chose the crazy grain rice which is a mix of black rice and lentils, and the spicy harissa sauce. The ezme, pickled red cabbage, and adana were my favorites. The chicken was good too and the köfte meatballs were my least favorite of the bunch. The pita bread was also fire and super fresh, honestly one of the best I've had when it's heated up and warm. The box was completely packed and was easily enough for 2 meals or to share between 2 people. Zucchini Yogurt with Fresh Dill and Walnuts ($3.25): Not a fan. It had a sour aftertaste with a citrusy zing that made me think this went bad. Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup ($6.99): Came with chickpeas, shredded chicken, and orzo. It was really yummy, especially paired with some sourdough bread I had on hand.
The food was delicious, healthy, and such a great deal! I got the chicken plate and my friend got the chicken wrap. The wrap was SO big - definitely worth the money!! You order at the front. There is some parking spaces out front but busy; there's also a free dedicated triangle parking garage closeby!
If I could eat here every day I would- it's honestly that good. This gem has big portions for a reasonable price and it's GOOD. Mezze platter is a must- you get to sample the different dips and it's served with hot pita bread. The lamb beyti is huge!! It's super rich- lamb wrapped in dough. But just split with some people because it's a wonderful dish to try. The governors plate is also a great mix of seasoned meats served with some veggies and rice! Everything we had here was great. Nothing was "just ok". I came twice in a week because I was thinking about their hummus topped with olive oil. To top it off, service is awesome.
We arrived at noon, party of 4, it was busy with no tables available. Stood in line then were told what we already knew then asked to get out of line and would let us know when we could sit and she would take our order. Great. About 30 minutes later we had a table and were told to get back in line. Thought she was taking our order?? Poor communication with a language barrier with most staff. We ordered and our food came out one at a time. All foods were not hot, nor warm. The falafels and truffle fries were already cool by the time it made it to the table. Soups and entrees also were not hot, a slight warmth next to cool. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. The pistachio cheesecake was delicious, the carrot baklava great but tasted like a standard baklava, the layered honey cake wasn't bad, it was slightly dry in my opinion. Drove over 20 miles and not sure it's worth it unless they open one more northwest of Austin with larger space and better management. Parking is limited however there is a garage available with free parking.
I have been wanting to try this place for years! I've heard so many good things and it really did not disappoint. The food is so delicious and taste healthy even though it's rich and flavor. The restaurant is located in the triangle and parking is limited. This restaurant also gets pretty busy the later you wait so go early and better for smaller groups of people rather than a large crowd. Seating is limited and they have shared table top seating, so you have to be comfortable sitting with others. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The only problem we had was someone trying to breathe down our neck while they waited for us to leave so they could sit in our spot. It was kind of unpleasant and so adding more seating would be my only feedback. We had the MA platter which consisted of multiple hummus and eggplant dish with tomatoes and potatoes and olives and tabouli. This is a great plate to share with the pita bread. I also had the lamb beyti like a lamb kebab in a wrap cut up with delicious savory sauce and dusted with pistachio. Many of their dishes are good for sharing as the portions are very large. I was happy to bring home leftovers this is definitely a place I will return.
I love the fun, vibrant ambiance straight off the bat. You order at the front and they give you a number. For two people, we got the governor's plate and chick me out. Portion sizes were quite good and we had leftovers as well! The complimentary pita was so soft and pillowy pairing well with all the meats that were juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the sides that came with it which were very refreshing. Good spot for a casual meal!
SERVICE/AMBIANCE: - I've been 2 different times. When I went during lunch, I ordered at the counter and they would brought the food to our table. The second time I went was for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Ordering was a bit confusing. We originally went to the counter to order, but we were told we had to put our name in a list first. The service was just okay, but the food definitely makes up for it! FOOD - There's complimentary pita bread and roasted red pepper hummus dip which was very tasty - The Mezze platter came with a combination of different sides and was a good appetizer to share - The Adana kebab was very tender and flavorful. My favorite thing on the menu and if you were to only get one thing, I would highly recommend this! - The Governors plate came with a combination of kofte, lamb, and chicken - a good choice if you want to try a little bit of everything - The Sirloin Kebab was also very good! - Dessert: the pistachio baklava cheesecake is HEAVENLY. Amazing flavor, not too sweet, and great texture read more

Mazze Me has become our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Austin! A Turkish patient first recommended it to me, and ever since our first visit it's turned into a little ritual for us. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and authentic -- from the vibrant mezze to the perfectly seasoned meats, everything is prepared with so much care. Portions are generous, and we've never had a dish we didn't love. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and when the weather is nice, we especially love sitting in the outdoor space -- it adds such a relaxed and enjoyable touch to the experience. Mazze Me is one of those places that feels both casual and special at the same time, and we couldn't recommend it more highly! read more

First time here and it won't be our last! Food was amazing and we LOVE the roasted red pepper hummus! We did not know the hummus came with the pita bread. It was soooo good! It was seriously the best we ever had! We also ordered the mezzemeatball plate and beef and lamb dnr plate. The falafel was not great and was burnt taste. It was over fried, burnt, & under seasoned. The sauce that you dip the falafel in needed something because it was bland. The beef and lamb dnr was fire. The bread that is crispy under the meat paired so well with it. Love the yogurt to balance the acidic tomatoes sauce. It was seriously so good and we highly recommend this dish! Meat was tender and was not dry. So good! The mezzemeatball was juicy and paired well with the cabbage and rice. Service was quick and food came out hot. They offer lunch specials which is a really great deal. We didn't get the lunch special but saw two other customers that ordered it and it looked decent and good. Do we recommend this place? Yes! We can't wait to come back to try other dishes there! Made fresh and soooo good! read more

Found a hair embedded in my food (see photos). What was even more nauseating than the contamination was the manager's appalling attitude. Instead of an apology, he tried to blame the wind and even had the nerve to suggest the hair was ours--despite it being a completely different texture and length. When I refused his offer of a replacement--as I had completely lost my appetite--he stubbornly refused a partial refund. He even tried to deflect by lying about a soup order, claiming it was "already being prepared" to avoid cancellation, when it hadn't even been ordered. The most insulting part. He arrogantly asked, "If there was hair, why did you almost finish the food?" We only found it at the bottom towards the end of the meal. His first instinct was to accuse us of being dishonest rather than taking accountability for a major hygiene failure. Reporting this to the Health Department. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere where they actually care about hygiene and respect. read more

We stopped here after driving around the area in a hangry fog. I had never been to a "Turkish" restaurant and was a little intimidated by the food I'd never heard of or had. But I was open to trying new things and I'm so glad I did. The portions were BIG. We could have easily split our meal. I got a wrap and my partner got a pita. I wish I could have eaten more, the food was so fresh and the flavors were phenomenal. I actually look forward to coming back. We sat outside with a view of the fountain. It almost felt like we were somewhere outside of Austin. Very nice experience. read more

Always a great experience here! Great service and great atmosphere! Wanted a healthy meal today and this hit the spot perfectly usual. Always recommend this spot! read more
TASTY!!! Wonderful Turkish food packed with flavor that I will definitely be returning to. I got their Lamb Beyti which firstly, I did not expect to be so much food lol. It was $23 but would easily feed 2 to the point both are being rolled out of the restaurant. The lamb was tender and wonderfully seasoned with a nice flaky dough crust around each separate cut with a mix of tomato sauce and yogurt middle that made every bite unique. The inside I think reminds me slightly more of a fast food restaurant which is a little confusing just due to the fact that it definitely functions more as a sit down spot. Will definitely be going back. read more
This place hits ! The name doesn't say much about the quality of food and experience so just ignore the name and get some amazing food. The price was amazing for how great the food was. Every single item on the plates were just superb Really loved the pita that came fresh from the oven still full of steam The inside of the restaurant was more fast casual but the food was not read more

Exceptional dishes made fresh every time. The food never feels heavy, just filling and satisfying. The ingredients are fresh and wholesome, and the flavors are always on point. Service is solid, and it's a great spot for a quick bite or a casual dinner with family and friends. The chick me out chicken plate is my go-to and never disappoints. I also love their selection of authentic items for sale, like Turkish coffee, Turkish delights, and other sweets. read more

I dont eat a lot of Turkish food but I eat out a lot and the food here is one of the best (probably top 3) dishes I have eaten out in Austin. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. You order at the counter and they will bring food to you. I truly like everything they brought out. They offered free bread with olive oil? and red pepper sauce dip. Bread came out hot and had the perfect thickness and flavor with the sauce. The beef and lamb doner plate was delish, rice was fluffy and well seasoned (I am Asian and I have high standard for rice!!), doner slices were a good thinness and tasty, the tomato sauce that comes with it makes the dish go together and not dry. For desserts, I lovee the milky baklava. Taste like a tiramisu even though it still has pistachio and flaky layers. Would 100% get this again and come back here. read more
Trendy Turkish restaurant in the triangle! Came here on a Saturday night which was moderately busy, but were lucky to find seating inside. Hubby was bold by getting the governor's plate to try many of the meats and noted that their marinated chicken was definitely a stand out. Since we got pita with our hummus, I chose the chicken wrap instead of chicken pita and was happy with that decision. We both had plenty of food for leftovers for the following day! Good value/portion sizes. The baklava cheesecake is a MUST! Great combination of two well-loved flavors! Yum! We will certainly be back for more! They *do* offer a military discount. Parking is free in the garage or around the shops. read more

Got a combo platter of lamb and gyro. All the plates come with rice. The rice tastes buttery and pairs well with all the meat! I wish there were more tzatziki sauce. Got hummus too, perfect for dipping naan in. Naan bread is complimentary and refillable. If you check in on Yelp, you can get free Turkish coffee! read more
You should get the governor plate to try all of their meat options. It's sooo good. All the meats are juicy and tender. None of them was dry, which is the worst can happen to meat. The dipping sauce is flavorful. The service is meh, the server was not the friendliest, but the food is so good and I'll be back for sure. read more

I ordered the lunch special. You have a soup or salad option and half pita. I did the salad and doner pita. The salad was very refreshing and light. The pita on the other hand seemed like it was missing something. There was a sauce on the side, it was hot in temperature so I'm assuming it was for the pita. I did try it but was not a fan. I paired my meal with half strawberry lemonade and half strawberry kiwi tea. read more
I was finally able to make it to this amazing little gem! It took us a while to find parking on a Sunday afternoon, but we made it! Fresh look, modern Turkish resturnat, it's more of an order pay sit down kinda place, but it's worth it! We were greated with a scope of Muhamara (red pepper dip) on a bed of olive oil served With an amazingly fresh-baked pita bread, that combination was to die for,and on the house! We ordered the Mezze platter that came with amazing hummus, and roasted red pepper hummus (OMG AMAZING), shakshuka with perfect flavors, and tabbouleh (not your regular parsley salad we are used to; this one had more bulgur/crushed wheat than parsley--it was pretty good!). Out of all those four, I loved the red bell pepper hummus the most! We ordered the İskender Kebab--it starts as thick bread cut in cubes on the bottom, then the döner (gyros), then an amazingly fresh tomato sauce packed with flavors and definitely Turkish yogurt on the side. This combination made my tummy happy! We also ordered the Adana Kebab; it was on point, perfectly seasoned, and the flavors were on point. We ordered the börek; I would have assumed it was like thin egg rolls stuffed with cheese. However, this one came as a slice of pizza with fresh filo dough layered on the top and bottom and, in between, an amazing combination of white cheeses that melts in your mouth! I was so full, and we had plenty to take home, so we did not try any of the wonderful-looking desserts displayed. We did have some Turkish coffee, and it was amazing! We met Murad the manager, a really nice guy, great service, amazing ambiance, I definitely loved the kids' corner where they can actually draw on the wall!! If I am ever back to Austin, I would definitely be back! Keep up the great work it was an amazing experience for sure! read more

Ordered via one of the delivery apps, and then called to see if an accommodation can be made. The staff was so helpful and kind! Then I had to call again to sort out an issue with delivery/pickup and again the staff was very helpful! If I could give the staff 10 stars I would! The food is excellent the Yaprak sarma were excellent, and the governor plate was too! Thank yall so much! read more
MezzeMe is one of my new Austin favorites! I'm looking forward to returning anytime I am in the Triangle area, which is often since I have family and friends nearby. It's not 100% vegetarian or vegan, so if you are eating with others who are non-vegetarian, there are plenty of options for them since Turkish cuisine does have plenty of meat. Thankfully, they have delicious vegetarian options too. I wanted to get the "hearty piyaz pleasure" because it sounded like an interesting, nutrient-dense salad with the inclusion of egg, but they apparently had ran out...so I went with the "sweet summer time" which wasn't too bad. It wouldn't be my go-to if going to a Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant, but it was what I was feeling that day. The inside of the restaurant was super clean, even though there were a lot of people seated for dinner. The free pita bread with hummus/oil was super soft and fresh, unlike any store-bought pita bread I've had as of late, lol. As an appetizer, the cheese borek is AMAZING. The plate comes with three squares plus a chopped tomato (lol). I would honestly get a plate just for myself next time along with another side dish because it is just that good. At time of payment, there was also an opportunity to donate to the Gaza relief fund, and I appreciated that the business was participating in that. read more
Their portion are nice and huge! I got their lunch special which is between 11 am - 2 pm on weekdays. You order at the counter. I got salad and half a pita with chicken. Their half a pita is actually a really good size already. Everything tasted good. I tried their milky baklava and regular pistachio baklava too. Their desserts are pricey but I enjoyed the milky baklava. Their regular one was way too sweet. Overall, most of their meals are big portion so worth the money. read more

What a cute little Turkish place! From the wall decor to the Turkish staff, I can definitely tell this place is authentic. The complimentary pita and hummus and olive oil were delicious. I do wish we received it earlier but it is still good. The pita was so fluffy and tasted delicious. I also got the truffle feta fries. What a huge bowl. The feta I wish was more than just crumbles and somehow more incorporated with the fries. The truffle dip was underwhelming - could not taste the truffle that much. The falafel wrap was really big. It was good but was missing the packing punch. I ate most of it as leftovers which is maybe why I felt underwhelmed by it. read more

I'm sad to say that MezzeMe, which I have been wanting to try for a long time, turned out to be pretty disappointing. Our order consisted of the Governor's plate and Iskender, intended for sharing among our group and a chicken dish for the kiddo. The presentation of the Governor's plate seemed promising, but once we tasted the dishes, they were all disappointingly bland, dried out, and lacked any inspiration. As for the Iskender, the tomato sauce tasted more like ketchup, which was not the flavor we had hoped for. Being someone who frequently indulges in this type of cuisine, especially when in the northeast, I had a similar meat platter just a few weeks prior at a Turkish restaurant in Massachusetts, and the difference in flavors and taste was astounding. Adding to the disappointment, the prices at MezzeMe were noticeably higher than what we had experienced earlier...and those platters included lamp chops! The service was almost non-existent due to a private function happening inside the restaurant. They had forgotten the kiddos dish so we had to wait longer for that order to be made after we brought it to their attention. However, someone did come to ask us if everything is good and if we had enjoyed ourselves near the end of the meal so that was a nice touch. All in all, I regret to say that MezzeMe did not live up to its potential and left us with a less than satisfactory dining experience. read more
We got the Adana and it was really delicious! The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The lamb was cooked well and had a good grill flavor. The vegetables were decent but nothing that special. The pita was fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed this place so I wanna try other dishes. read more
