In A Nutshell: -This is a nice neighborhood restaurant for decent Mediterranean food. -I enjoyed their Herb Oven Roasted Chicken which came w/ small potatoes & baby carrots. -The Mezze sampler is highly recommended. -The falafel, dolmas, hummus, babba ghanoush, tzaziki and tabbouleh, served with pita bread, olives, and pepperoncinis were superb. Overall, this place seemed to be popular w/ the locals.

    Gyro plate & gyro wrap!

My husband and I just moved to lakeway and we found this place spontaneously after stopping by Lowe's! We were both blown away & will 100% be returning frequently. We both ordered traditional lamb gyro dishes. It was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We sat outdoors which had some ambiance with the string lights and melodic music playing which was a major bonus!

We came here during Happy Hour and ordered the falafels, lamb gyro, & a chicken gyro. The service was friendly but they did send out the wrong appetizers, so for future reference the fried pickles looked good, but they belonged to someone else. I wasn't a fan of the falafels, they were not very flavorful compared to other falafels we have had. However the experience was redeemed by the best seasoned fries I have ever had! I normally just order them as a side and don't pay much attention but these fries were so good that I would order them by themselves. Both gyros were both very good and flavorful! We will definitely be returning for those fries and I want to check out the baklava.

This is one of my girlfriend's favorite monthly haunts. She always gets the house Salad with Gyros. I met her here once before and we sat at the bar. Great service! Great food! Today I met her here once again and we sat in the middle of the room. They have a large patio on the side as well as a pretty dining room with a small bar area. I ordered a lavender lemonade with half unsweetened tea which was OK. Not as lemony as expected. Next we tried the dolmas. They eere fresh had a sweet lemon sauce with crunchy raw red onion. The flavor was good but the grape leaves were a bit tough, unfortunately. Next she had a Gyros Plate and I had a Lamb Souvlake plate. Both were really good. Mine came with a garlic dip that was really good. The lamb is cooked to order and came out a perfect medium, as requested. It was overall very good with a few minor adjustments needed in the preparations. Service, again, was really good and attentive. Bonus points for the on the house to-go drinks offered after the paid bill.

My wife and I stopped in on Christmas Eve after church. The restaurant was somewhat busy, staff greeted us at the door and sat us. We ordered pita/ hummus, Greek Salad and a Lamb Gyro. Everything was delicious! Absolutely delicious! We split the lamb gyro so they cut it and served on a couple plates. Staff were great, the ambiance was nice and we'll definitely be coming back.

We were starving on our road trip and googled Mediterranean near us. This place seemed promising with reviews and being close by. Walking in, we were greeted instantly. There was two tables already eating. Our waiter took a moment to actually get to us, we ordered. For the most part the service was good. I'd say 3.5/5. Our kids got the kids spaghetti and pita cheese pizza. We ordered the chicken and rice soup, fried cheese and falafels as an appetizer. The kids liked their dishes. The falafels were decent, a tad overcooked. They definitely tasted better with the sauce served with the gyro plate vs the tahini sauce it came with. They tasted burnt and not good with the tahini sauce. At first we thought it was hummus, but it wasn't. The cheese appetizer was good. But we've definitely had it better at other places. And for that price of $15 it wasn't worth it. My husband got the gyro plate and I the lamb kabobs. The gyro was the best thing we had. Great flavor. My lamb kabobs were cooked great just lacking flavor. The rice was not tasty in one bit. Whatever spices they added did not merry and there was no salt. I did enjoy the garlic sauce, but again it needed salt. For the price point at this restaurant and what you actually get, it's definitely overpriced. The quality and flavor profiles do not match the price.

This was a new local spot for us & the meal we had tonight was delicious. Our server Audrey was very engaging, personable and helpful. Her confidence in the offerings speaks volumes about the quality. When a server believes in the food, it's always a very good sign. We sampled some falafel, spanakopita, and baba ganooj to start off the visit and all were excellent. The temps, seasoning, and textures were all on point. Delicious. We split a lamb kebab plate and it was cooked perfectly medium. We ate every morsel on the plate almost embarrassingly so. The Baklava was a must and it didn't disappoint. We got a second one to go: it was that good. We will be back for more soon. The environment is very casual with a nice bar and it seemed like everyone working there was pretty busy and happy. We are stoked to have a new regular spot that's nearby and very solid. Can't wait to explore more of the menu!

Delicious food! Love the variety of vegetarian options. We got the Falafel burger (cut in half) with Greek salad, along with Veggie Pita with fries. The burger was great, and the fries were seasoned well. Service was good. Recommend this place to anyone!

I absolutely love the vibe of this place--it's definitely a high-end Mediterranean restaurant, perfect for special occasions. What really stood out was how beautifully everyone was dressed; it added to the upscale, elegant atmosphere of the entire space. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor seating area, which really elevates the overall experience. The outdoor space, in particular, adds to the charm and makes it a great spot for a relaxed yet upscale evening. Since reservations weren't available, we decided to arrive early, expecting a long wait. Luckily, being a Sunday evening, it wasn't too crowded, and we were seated within about 20 minutes. For drinks, I ordered a Tender Robot Hazy IPA, while my husband went with the Verdant Mai Tai. I was a bit disappointed to learn they only serve canned beer and don't offer draft options, as I personally prefer draft beer and am not a big fan of cocktails, which tend to be too sweet for my taste. For the main course, I had the Heirloom Chicken Thighs, and my husband ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Both dishes were cooked to perfection--flavorful, well-seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. That said, the portion sizes felt a bit small considering the price point. We ended the meal with the Sticky Date Cake, and it was hands down the best I've ever had--rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the beautiful ambiance, flavorful food, and exceptional service, it's a place I'd definitely return to. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the lack of draft beer and the smaller portion sizes for the price, but it's still a fantastic spot worth visiting.

However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. It was almost like pulling teeth to get a regular service let alone good service. Again, the food was really good, and that alone was the only positive.

It's one of those places that's reliable and feels pretty consistent, knowing you're going to leave happy and full after eating here. The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. For the quality, variety and amount of food you get, this is easily one of the best deals in the city! It's rare to find a buffet that's both affordable and consistently this good! If I had one small wish, it would be for desserts to match how strong the rest of the food is. They're not bad, just a little more "fine" compared to how amazing everything else is. I've seen another Dimassi's (I think in Cali) that had a frozen yogurt machine and I'd LOVE to see that here because it would be the perfect finish! Make a cup and then crumble up some baklava on it! Overall we've LOVED it here and we'll absolutely keep coming back! Great food, clean, consistent, and worth it every time!

Between me, my husband, and my mom, we have a lot of overlap in what we like to eat, but we also have some pretty distinct preferences, and Demassi's is one of those places where that works. My husband really loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. I generally do not. I tend to find the meats too dry, I don't particularly like the spice profile, and I also find a lot of dishes in that category to be overly sour. It's hard to explain, but there's often a sharp, tangy acidity that I don't enjoy. For whatever reason, I don't have that issue at Demassi's at all. Here my husband can get his fix of dry, spiced meats, while I'm happy eating from the huge selection of rice dishes, cooked veggies, and soups. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Overall, it's a solid, reliable spot for us and a place we're always happy to suggest when we're trying to please multiple people with different tastes.

I decided to order a mini Persian feast: the beef koobideh with rice, doogh yogurt drink, and a saffron ice cream for dessert. This was my first time trying beef koobideh, and unfortunately, this just didn't seem to be very good. The meat itself was okay, decently cooked, and topped with quite a lot of some spice that I can't quite put my finger on. It was okay. The rice though, that is what really disappointed me. Persian rice is usually amazing, but this really didn't seem traditional and it had a strange taste to it. It also came with onion and a grilled tomato, both solid additions. Good portion though. The doogh yogurt drink wasn't homemade like I had hoped, but in all honesty, it still really hit the spot on a hot Austin day. Reasonable price. The saffron rice was also fairly disappointing. Large white chunks (clotted cream maybe? But they were pretty tasteless), gritty texture, not much flavor. Just not really worth it. All in all, a bit of a disappointing dinner in Austin. I'll have to look for a different Persian spot next time I'm in the area.
