Wife and I love this place. It is insanely good and popular. I ordered take out and it was ready in 15 minutes. Problem is they are so famous and there was a line outside the door. Luckily i bypassed the line, walked up and grabbed my order. Love this place and food l.
Really good food here. Service is good. Complementary bread if you dine in. I recommend trying the turkish beer The portion sizes are fitting for the price. Their rice is more on the moist side, which is my only down for this place. Everything else is really good. Fair amount of seats outside and inside. Parking can be hectic if you want a closer spot.
THE BIG: Mediterranean Turkish spot in the Triangle of Central Austin. Homey interior with outdoor seating available. Parking is plenty with garages around. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This place is always busy! We came here on a thursday afternoon for dinner and you first order at the front, then you get a number and the dishes get brought to you. Also at the front is the dessert displays, which is smart because we definitely got one. For food, we got the iskender, lamb beyti, and roasted red pepper Hummus. The bread is a lil stale but that's not suppose to be the main part of the meal. The iskender was nice and hefty however the star of the show was the lamb beyti. Lamb was cooked perfectly and wrapped around the pita with a nice serving of yogurt. To round out the meal, we got a baklava cheesecake pistachio dessert for dessert. All desserts are made in house and daily. It was so good with the filo serving as the crust and the cheese being super creamy. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overlal the damage done was about $75 for the feast. Highly recommend this place as the flavors, atmosphere and service was top notch. Will be back soon.
I stopped by MezzeMe on a whim when I was looking for lunch in the Triangle and I'm glad I did! I arrived around 1pm on a Wed and it was pretty hopping so don't expect it to be empty just because its a weekday! I put in a to-go order for a kibbeh wrap; the price seemed typically high for the area, but when I got my order its quite a sizable wrap so all-in-all a pretty good deal! The food did take about 20 minutes to come out- I wasn't going to complain as there was a line of people the whole time so I could tell it was busy, but when I did get my food they apologized for the wait and gave me some free baklava so even if there had been hard feelings that would have 100% fixed it lol I'm a huge baklava fan and had actually been considering adding some onto my order but didn't because of the long line! So service was great, but most importantly- the food! The kibbe wrap was huge; I managed to finish the whole thing but in two different sittings lol. The kibbe was generous, and the pieces were flavorful and juicy. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the whole thing was lightly sauced but the flavor of the kibbe popped enough that I didn't think it needed more sauce. Delicious and I would 100% order again. Plus the (free!) baklava was top notch! Sometimes you get the ones where the filo dough is a little tough/chewy and it still tastes great but the texture isn't there- not with this baklava! It was tender, delicious, and a perfect end to the meal. Parking was limited on the street but I believe the Triangle has garages also- I was able to snag a short term parking spot for MezzeMe which is actually why I originally decided to check it out!
We visited MezzeMe on a Saturday for dinner and had about a 30-minute wait. The highlight of the meal was the complimentary warm pita and hummus. The pita was soft, fresh, and delicious, and the hummus was creamy with great flavor. We also tried the Truffle Feta Fries, which were just okay--I was hoping they'd be crispier with a stronger truffle flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Forever Falafel, Lahmacun, Falafel Pita Pocket, and Chicken Shish Kebap Pita Pocket. The fillings were flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. The only downside was that the pita pockets were served cold and felt a little dry. I'd recommend ordering the Forever Falafel and enjoying it with the complimentary warm pita instead. We finished with the pistachio baklava and honey cake, and both desserts were delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back to try more dishes.
Came here as our first stop for dinner while on vacation in Austin, and we were pleasantly surprised with this place. We really enjoyed our Lamb beyti and it was our first time trying it, we are hooked now! We also ordered the honey cake and the baklava cheesecake and they didn't disappoint! Our favorite was the cheesecake, it was so fresh and not overly sweet. We also had some black Turkish teas offered to us for free by the manager, or the owner, super nice guy.
Another nice meal today. I had the Mezze Meatballs. They were soft and easy to cut even with my fork. The veggies (onion, cabbage, relish) and cucumber tzaziki sauce that are on the side with the meatballs and rice added a real nice flavor. The food came fast and with a smile! Overall: 3.6/5 [delivery] We ordered on UberEats and the food arrived on time. Governor's Mixed Kebap Plate ($26.95): The plate came with chicken, köfte meatballs, ground lamb kebap (adana), ezme, pickled red cabbage, onion, rice, and a sauce. I chose the crazy grain rice which is a mix of black rice and lentils, and the spicy harissa sauce. The ezme, pickled red cabbage, and adana were my favorites. The chicken was good too and the köfte meatballs were my least favorite of the bunch. The pita bread was also fire and super fresh, honestly one of the best I've had when it's heated up and warm. The box was completely packed and was easily enough for 2 meals or to share between 2 people. Zucchini Yogurt with Fresh Dill and Walnuts ($3.25): Not a fan. It had a sour aftertaste with a citrusy zing that made me think this went bad. Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup ($6.99): Came with chickpeas, shredded chicken, and orzo. It was really yummy, especially paired with some sourdough bread I had on hand.
The food was delicious, healthy, and such a great deal! I got the chicken plate and my friend got the chicken wrap. The wrap was SO big - definitely worth the money!! You order at the front. There is some parking spaces out front but busy; there's also a free dedicated triangle parking garage closeby!
If I could eat here every day I would- it's honestly that good. This gem has big portions for a reasonable price and it's GOOD. Mezze platter is a must- you get to sample the different dips and it's served with hot pita bread. The lamb beyti is huge!! It's super rich- lamb wrapped in dough. But just split with some people because it's a wonderful dish to try. The governors plate is also a great mix of seasoned meats served with some veggies and rice! Everything we had here was great. Nothing was "just ok". I came twice in a week because I was thinking about their hummus topped with olive oil. To top it off, service is awesome.
We arrived at noon, party of 4, it was busy with no tables available. Stood in line then were told what we already knew then asked to get out of line and would let us know when we could sit and she would take our order. Great. About 30 minutes later we had a table and were told to get back in line. Thought she was taking our order?? Poor communication with a language barrier with most staff. We ordered and our food came out one at a time. All foods were not hot, nor warm. The falafels and truffle fries were already cool by the time it made it to the table. Soups and entrees also were not hot, a slight warmth next to cool. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. The pistachio cheesecake was delicious, the carrot baklava great but tasted like a standard baklava, the layered honey cake wasn't bad, it was slightly dry in my opinion. Drove over 20 miles and not sure it's worth it unless they open one more northwest of Austin with larger space and better management. Parking is limited however there is a garage available with free parking.
I have been wanting to try this place for years! I've heard so many good things and it really did not disappoint. The food is so delicious and taste healthy even though it's rich and flavor. The restaurant is located in the triangle and parking is limited. This restaurant also gets pretty busy the later you wait so go early and better for smaller groups of people rather than a large crowd. Seating is limited and they have shared table top seating, so you have to be comfortable sitting with others. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The only problem we had was someone trying to breathe down our neck while they waited for us to leave so they could sit in our spot. It was kind of unpleasant and so adding more seating would be my only feedback.We had the MA platter which consisted of multiple hummus and eggplant dish with tomatoes and potatoes and olives and tabouli. This is a great plate to share with the pita bread. I also had the lamb beyti like a lamb kebab in a wrap cut up with delicious savory sauce and dusted with pistachio. Many of their dishes are good for sharing as the portions are very large. I was happy to bring home leftovers this is definitely a place I will return.
I love the fun, vibrant ambiance straight off the bat. You order at the front and they give you a number. For two people, we got the governor's plate and chick me out. Portion sizes were quite good and we had leftovers as well! The complimentary pita was so soft and pillowy pairing well with all the meats that were juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the sides that came with it which were very refreshing. Good spot for a casual meal!
This is a cute restaurant with a lot of seating options. The restaurant is pretty fast casual as you can place your order at the front and then find your preferred seating. I had the ChickMe Out with Crazy Grains and Tzatziki sauce. My food came out really hot and fresh. The crazy grains had some hard bits that weren't the most pleasant to chew through. My food was really good but the portion seemed a bit small for the price. Overall, I enjoyed my food and would like to try other menu items. read more

A friend and I popped into The Triangle to find a spot for dinner. MezzeMe seemed to be the best spot there. On a nice evening we asked to sit outside. We were told we would have a short wait and that was totally fine. During that short time, we were updated every few minutes, offered something to drink, and the staff continued to keep an eye out for an open table. After 15 minutes, a couple of the staff members went above and beyond. They brought a table from inside, set it up outside, and got us seated right away. We were also offered a complimentary dessert for the wait which really wasn't a wait at all. On top of 5 star service, the food was all that and more. Thank you MezzeMe for the great experience. The food was so delish! I've been here before many many years ago, and I loved the food. I'm surprised the quality is still so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying one of their kasar pides. I tried the cheese one and it was so good. It tasted like a fancy cheesy bread. The one thing I did wish they did was put a sheet between the kasar pides and the box so that the cheese doesn't stick to the box. The chicken shish kebap was also really good. The free pita bread with hummus app was amazing. I ordered the lentil soup and it was legit. For entree, I ordered the lamb beyti. It was delicious but the bread wrapped around the lamb is too filling. My husband ordered the lamb doner and he loved it. The baklavas are too hard, so I probably should heat it up at home. It tasted good though. Solid Turkish food! read more

Check out this cute Turkish food place! Right on "the triangle" area, very cute decor, and good prices for some Turkish delights ;) We are traveling, and on a budget, and this place was recommended by a friend for their good food so we decided to go. Well, I look around and see many locals agree - so this must have some good flavorful food! We ordered an appetizer platter and then a couple sandwiches. Here you order at the counter and then they deliver to your table. The wait time can be long-ish (specially if you're hungry!). But the food arrives and is devoured! Tastes great too! We had the appetizer platter that was delicious and some falafel wrap and sandwich that were also hearty and tasted great. Enjoy! read more
I had a very flavorful Döner plate here. It was the tastiest dish I've had in a long time. Thinly sliced beef and lamb döner slices were seasoned so well. I had taken a salt and pepper shaker from the other table and didn't once touch it. The plate also comes with rice which was lightly seasoned and so tasty. It was the perfect consistency for rice and was not stodgy or watery. The sumac onion, ezme, and pickled red cabbage provided an interesting contrast to the meats. I sopped everything up with the warm pita bread that was served with my meal. When i had finished my bread, I was asked if I wanted more bread. I was very appreciative of their asking. The tomato sauce was a nice addition to dip the meat in and I sopped all of the sauce as well. If you are looking for Turkish food this is definitely the star. read more

The food here is very good! The beef and lamb dner was delicious! Also, the salad was fresh, crispy and very tasty! It was my first visit to the restaurant and the lady at the register helped me with my lunch selection, which was delicious! She was super nice. It didn't take long for the food to be prepared, which is good for lunch times of an hour. The food was delivered to my table by a very friendly employee. The restaurant atmosphere is nice and cozy. I will absolutely visit the restaurant again when I come back to Austin for training. read more
I went to MezzeMe when they were more like a Chipotle and it was decent. However, fast forward to today and they've completely upped their game. All of the food has been amazing. The falafel, doner, chicken thighs. My uncle got some dough wrapped meat and cheese plate that was phenomenal. They bring out some flat bread with a harissa or red hummus that is a fantastic appetizer leading up the main course. Their open kitchen is very inviting and warm, and their dining room is a little eclectic but cozy and also welcoming. The prices increased a little over time, but I can't say enough how their food is worth it. read more

We had an absolutely amazing time for dinner at Mezze Me! We went as a group and got lots of items to share! Some must haves in our opinion is the Lamb Beyti, the Beet Salad, & the Baklava! Everything we ate was the perfect temperature and full of amazing flavor. You can tell everything is made with high quality ingredients because you feel good when you leave! MezzeMe has slowly become one of my favorite restaurants. The service is great. It seems to be family-run, and there is a high-level of attentiveness for a restaurant where you order at the counter. Workers stop by to check and see how we are doing, clear out finished plates, and sometimes offer us samples. Since they offer coffee and beer and wine, it's a nice place to chill for any occasion. My personal reason for ordering from MezzeMe so often is the lentil soup. This particular variety of lemony lentil soup is what I want to eat when I'm feeling down, so my partner will get some to go when I'm ill. There are a variety of mezze items to eat alongside it, but I usually stick to one of the hummuses. Their falafel is one of my favorite falafels in town, for when I want something more substantial. My partner usually orders one of the meaty wraps. If you order a flatbread, be forewarned that they are huge! It's entree rather than appetizer-sized. The desserts are all fantastic. There is always at least one type of baklava, but some days there are a variety of other treats in their display case. The baklava cheesecake was a joy I didn't know could exist. read more
I enjoyed the environment and the food here very much. It feels casual but nice inside at the same time. It's a great place to bring a group of people to have a meal or to have just two people as well. We got the two soups they had which are the lemon chicken and the lentil soup. Both are very delicious and surprisingly, came with a large homemade pita bread that went very well with the soups. It was my first time trying the Turkish coffee and I thought it was very good. I enjoyed the little espresso cup it came in. The wrap tasted very fresh and thought it was nicely flavored. I would want to come back and try other things! The staff here are very nice as well. You order up front and then they give you a tag so they can bring you the food. They also have some to-go items and some snacks you can purchase up at the front. There is free parking in the area since it's part of the triangle. read more

Came here for Valentine's Day because we wanted to try something different and I am so glad we did! First off, the location is perfect. MezzeMe is located on the triangle and we were able to find parking pretty quick. There was ample sitting both inside and outside but we decided to sit outside because the ambiance felt more romantic. We had never had Turkish food so I really didn't know where to begin. She recommended a couple of different main dishes but we ultimately ended up getting the Governor's Plate which comes with chicken, kofte meatballs, ground lamb kebab, gyro, rice, cabbage and onions! For a shareable we tried their truffle feta fries. Both were AMAZING!! The meat was so tender and delicious. My favorite was the chicken and the meatballs they were charred and smokey with a little kick. The rice with the cabbage and pickled onions paired amazingly with the fatty meats. But the fries were out of this world. The truffle flavor is very nice and the feta added such a nice flavor. the fries were seasoned as well, tasted a little smokey! so delicious Definitely need to come back again! the price was great for the amount of food you get. had leftovers for the following day. read more

Having Turkish food in different cities will always leave a different taste. Being someone that is Turkish I always love trying a new place. Prices were very reasonable. Staff were very attentive, including the owner/manager. I'm not familiar with the location, but it was in a very nice place. There was outdoor seating as well as indoor. Indoor ambiance was nice. The food tasted amazing. The lentil soup is very delicious. The dough used for the Pide was light and delish. It was thin crust and not as oily as other places have them. They were also selling recipe books, and other products to purchase. Overall, I loved it and will visit again when I come back to Austin. read more

First time trying Turkish food with a friend and I would definitely go back! Everything was fresh and flavorful. First we started off with the lentil soup with a squeeze of lemon, stuffed grape leaves and my favorite borek cheese pie. Although I wish there was more cheese in the pie. The layered flakey dough made up for it. Then for the main dish we had the spicy lamb with pickled red cabbage and rice. I thought there was a lot of on this plate for what it's worth. Then we finish with the best thing ever, the kunefe, which is this round pastry soaked in sugar syrup, filled with gooey mozzarella cheese, topped with pistachios. It came hot and ready to eat. I'd never had anything like it! It sure was rich and sweet, so I'd definitely have this once and a while. read more

We got off to a rocky start, but the food redeemed itself! Cons: the entrees came out before the appetizer we ordered; when the food came out, the staff member wasn't sure which entree was which; there was an issue splitting the check in 2, and it took a while to resolve--those things happen, so nothing major. Pros: staff was really friendly and accommodating, despite the challenges above. The food was delicious--my favorite was the iskender plate (very complex but balanced flavor, the texture of the toasted pita smothered in tomato sauce was perfect), but my friend liked the Chickme Out. They bring you pita and a scoop of red pepper hummus for free, and they offer a complimentary cup of tea or coffee after dinner. Hummus was a solid 8/10; some of the sides that came with the dishes were lackluster, but as a whole, the food was great. We will definitely return! read more
