12 churro sticks for $11, def a must
    Tiffany L.

This was my first time getting takeout from Tu Pepito and honestly my first taste of Venezuelan food or more precisely street food*. They have a variety of options such as burgers, tacos, chicken tenders, hotdogs and fries but I was here for the churros and to try a pepito. My first impression is that the pepito reminded me of a rendition of a pizza with the crust being a slice of flat bread covered with your choice of protein, choice of cheese or not, plus extra fillers such as corn, potato sticks, bacon, caramelized onions, plantains, and sauce. The sauce part can be a bit heavy handed for some so don't be afraid to ask for it on the side. However, I really enjoyed their sauces with my favorite being the garlic which was like a garlic aioli, and the corn which reminded me of cream corn. Tupepito: Tenderloin and/or chicken, potato stick, corn, parmesan cheese and the special sauce. We opted for both proteins and I was surprised to have enjoyed the chicken as the tenderloin was a bit too chewy for me. I also liked the combination of the potato stick (which I wish was a bit more crispy), corn, cheese and special sauce (which I think is their garlic sauce) but whatever it is, sure was a tasty combo! California: Tenderloin and/or chicken, mozzarella grated, corn, and bacon. I would say this is for the bacon lover as the bacon flavor is extremely strong and honestly overpowered any other flavor. If you want additional bacon flavor, you can even request bacon sauce but I paired this one with the corn sauce to give it a sweet component. Truffle Fries: I am such a sucker for truffle fries but these were a bit disappointing for me. The fries were a bit soggy, the truffle flavor was lacking, and I found a odd shard of bamboo or wood with my fries...so just check before consuming. Churros: These aren't your traditional thick and fluffy churros but thin and crispy which I honestly really enjoyed as it was well fried and had a hint of sweetness to it. These churros can stand alone but the the Nutella and dulce de leche sauces definitely made it even more addicting to eat. These usually are beautifully covered with the sauces but knowing it would be a bit too sweet for me I opted for the sauce on the side. Overall, I am glad I can now say I've tried a pepito but I must say this meal was a bit on the pricier side for what you get with a pepito costing $18 on average. The fries were $6 for the truffle version and 12 churro sticks were $11, but I would def splurge on the churro sticks! In terms of food I would probably give it 3 stars but their churro and the cleanliness and staff bump it closer to a 4. Oh also, if you are craving a milk tea fix they are next door to Sharetea!

When craving great quality of a tailored sandwich with perfect amount of protein, cheese, Tu Pepito makes a perfect match. I had a classic beef and pecorino cheese sandwich, and it was perfection! btw their owners wiIl smile at you and make sure you're happy with your order.

If you want to try something different from Venezuela you have to go this place. Famous venezuelan fast food Pepitos are the best!!. My favorite Encebollado with chicken. And don't forget the Churros as desert. Service is top notch from the owners, they're going to make you feel like home!!

I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

It's challenging to replicate the same experience locally, as these restaurants lack access to the fresh, local ingredients that define their unique cuisine. Casa Colombia does a good job replicating a true Colombian dining experience. Their menu is extensive with some very interesting offerings. Scanning the dining room, I noticed that their portions are huge. We started with a shrimp cocktail, an empanada, and their version of a rum - mango martini. The small option for the shrimp cocktail was bountiful and easily shared. The housemade cocktail sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The empanada was a tad dry, but their spicy salsa sauce was a great addition. Our "martini" was sweet but very satisfying on a warm afternoon. We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. They do offer a happy hour that begins at 3 PM. A definite 4-plus star experience.
