First time visiting and I'm in AWE!! I walked in and looked at the menu and had no idea what I wanted. The very friendly young lady(I didn't get her name) came from around the counter... AROUND and asked me about my preferences, and made suggestions. (I have never received service like that anywhere before so I was pleased) she even made me a sample!! I was pleased with the sample and placed that as my order and the first sip and every sip after was heavenly! Super pleased :) read more

PJ's Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bowie, Maryland

OMG! I have found a new love! Beignets and the amazing praline & creme latte coffee. I had the opportunity to meet the owners, Mike and his spouse who exude a very warm welcome. Thank you for bringing these phenomenal treats to the area. I will be back soon! read more

Coffee was good, but the beignets were to die for! Hot and fresh and so so good. Will be back with friends!

What a class act! I stopped in today for a frozen hot chocolate and one of the happy customers suggested beignets. OMG!!!! they were amazing!!! I have no pictures because I ate them in the car!! The frozen hot chocolate was equally amazing. The interior is super clean and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I look forward to visiting for years to come. read more

Beignets are awesome. Reminds me of Cafe Du Monde. Really nice staff. Clean and friendly.

The ambience and service of this cafe are great. It is very welcoming. Their coffee is pretty good. But their beignets are amazing! Eating them makes me feel as though I am sitting at Cafe Dumond. read more

The best beignets outside of née Orleans and the cider was soo delicious. Ambience and service were top notch.

I saw this on TikTok so I figured why not come out(drove 45minutes) and try it. So today 30January2021 Saturday, my hubby and I I came out and just ordered all we wanted. I got the King Cake Latte with almond milk which was freaking awesome. I also got a hot chocolate with almond milk. My hubby got a latte with caramel. Food wise, I got a maple sausage ciabatta, Beignets, spinach and feta croissant, bacon egg cheese biscuit and last but not least the bacon and cheese egg bites. All this was absolutely really great, we got all this because I really wanted to get a feel for most of what's offered so that in the future I would know if the drive is worth it. But I can absolutely tell you all that the drive is worth it, the beignets were soooooo goooood!!!! Everything was hot and tasty. I actually got the spinach and feta croissant fresh from the oven and when I tell you it was good believe me lol. Anyway everyone should try this place. Support local businesses. read more

See all

I stopped here during holidays and lost track of time. This place is a gem. The coffee was excellent and the beignets are a must!

Good beignets and coffee! Nice service and casual New Orleans music and vibe inside.

Good Coffee and good beignets. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely will return

Awesome! I'm a fan of Starbucks....PJs is BETTER. The coffee was perfect. I ordered a black strong brew with beignets and it was delish!!! If I lived closer, I would roll out of the bed and walk in every morning. read more

I have had a variety of things from the menu from regular coffee to a specialty latte and loved everything. Since they're closer to me than Starbucks and have beignets that are delicious I will be returning more frequently. My kids love the hot chocolate as well. read more

Clean space. Good service. Loved the coffee. Nice options for pastries and sandwiches. Will return.

I made a special trip to PJ's yesterday (during the ice storm ‍) and it was definitely worth it! I don't live near PJ's but kept seeing their posts on Facebook so decided to give it a try. The store is bright and clean and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a cafe au lait and the beignets. Let me tell you, the beignets are to die for! They were served hot and powdery and melted in my mouth. The cafe au lait was perfectly balanced with the hot milk and dark roast coffee. I will definitely be back to try their other drinks and food. Great job PJ's! read more

Love the coffee! Staff is always friendly! It Can take a little longer than I'd like to wait sometimes. So online orders would be great if the app allowed orders before 10am Idk but the coffee is so so good, I'm there all the time & would rather patronize PJ's over Starbucks read more

I have been here many times and the customer service was great. I love the frozen caramel granita and freshly cooked beignets. The owner works alongside the staff frequently. There is limited outdoor seating due to covid if interested. read more

PJ's Coffee - Frozen caramel granita, fresh beignets & coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bowie, Maryland

I've been wanting to try PJ's and I'm so happy that I did...actually I wish I hadn't waited so long (even though they just opened). What a great black owned establishment. Such a nice, cozy place. The staff were extremely friendly and the owners are AMAZING! They (husband and wife) took the time to explain the history of PJs and where coffee originated from. I felt like I had know them for awhile. I ordered the Mocha Velvet Ice and beignets. Absolutely delicious. The beignets were light and fluffy with the perfect balance of powered sugar. The Velvet Ice was flavored perfectly and wasn't too sweet. I love the option to add oat, almond or coconut milk. I cant wait to go back again. read more

5 stars for the beignets which were delicious, hot and fresh. My 3 star review is for the coffee and service process. Only ordered a regular coffee. They handle adding cream and sugar. The results was sugary cold coffee which was more cream than coffee. Hope they correct this. Also the pickup area is awkward. Too many tables clustered make it impossible to get to the side they arranged for picking up. Yet there was an entire spacious counterspace area not being utilized. Im giving the feedback in hopes it will improve because we need this business to remain and thrive read more

Stopped in because I saw the banners in the center, didn't even know it was there until today. Ordered a mocha cappuccino and it tasted exactly like a chocolate-covered espresso bean. Very nice! Glad I stopped in, look forward to coming by more. read more

Ok I'm going to rave about a local spot in Bowie/Mitchellvile area. Today, my teen and I had an extra 30 minutes waiting for the school bus at the Fairwood Safeway. We decided to check out PJ's Coffee. Our order consisted of iced coffee (teen), hot chocolate (me), cranberry orange muffin, egg/bacon/cheddar biscuit, chocolate croissant, and beignets. The drinks were good (I don't drink coffee); the hot chocolate was reminiscent of Starbucks version but even more "chocolatey". The pastries were Amazing!!! The biscuit was tender and delicious, the muffin was perfectly balanced tart/sweet and cranberry/orange flavor. The croissant was full of chocolate (hubby is a chocoholic - he LOVED it). The beignets. The BEIGNETS!!!! Oooohhh weeee! Get them. Great service as well. Please support these guys. Local folks who happened to open in the middle of the pandemic. read more

Great coffee, the customer service was amazing. The managers especially where very friendly. 10/10 would recommend

I'm so delighted to have a black owned and operated coffee shop in Bowie. The owners (Mike and Tyra) are friendly, knowledgeable and residents of Prince George's County. The shops decor, lighting, sound, customer service, coffee/tea options and those delicious Beignets brings the taste of New Orleans to us! To be new to the area and hire staff, whom appear to have been well trained and knowledgeable about the company and coffee (products) are very patient with customers as they decide on a drink and what treat to have with it....For me it was the Southern Wedding Cake cold creme and the Beignets!!!! And they have a Loyalty Program...I'll be back. read more

Coffee and beignets are a hit! The people are always so pleasant and accommodating! I come at least twice a week love this place and the vibe! read more

The beignets are fantastic but the coffee drinks are underwhelming. They just taste weak and kind of thin. One of the reasons may be because they only put 1 1/2 shots of espresso in a medium latte. I've never seen that before. Everywhere else does 2 shots. I got a triple shot latte to see if it would help, but my latte was still meh. I usually prefer to patronize local coffee shots over Starbucks, but this time I think I'll stick with Starbucks. read more

Beignets are addictive, made to order. Nice little spot very clean very friendly great customer service.

Nasty customer service + extremely long wait whether you use mobile order again. And as a constant customer who tries to pick them over Starbucks but literally strike 3 in 2 weeks. Don't get me started with people hair hanging in my drink. read more

Always good service and coffee. Lately I've been trying other menu items and found them to be well prepared. Great atmosphere inside or outside on the patio. read more

Love this place. Black owned and right down the street from my home in a town center that desperately needed a spot like this! The beignets are soooooooo good - I'd eat them all day if I could. Service is great and there's so many options to choose from. read more

Great customer service; however, the beignets never taste the same like being either partially burnt with one or sometimes none being the soft delicious beignets many know to love. Quite disappointing. The granitas are delicious. The hot mochas taste like water. read more
