Heard about Kozy Beans in Crofton from the Wife, she saw something on Tik Tok…read more We decided to stop and I'm glad we did. This is a really nice, clean, local coffee with really bubbly personalities working the registers and making our coffees. Our drinks came out fast - we got the Honey Vanilla Bean Lattes, hers with oat milk, mine with almond milk and enjoyed them a lot. We will be back.

Pretty good variety. There's coffee and non-coffee options. Unfortunately for me, they ran out out of chai by the time I ordered. In terms of food, there are sweet and savory baked goods. For croissants, I saw the ham and cheese; chocolate filled croissants, bagels, and other sweet and savory pastries. Later in the day, there appear to be more meal options, like sandwiches and such. - Quality. My matcha latte was pretty good. I asked for no sweetener, so the flavor of the latte was the simple matcha flavor, which I really liked. They warmed up my croissant, which helped, because it was soft. The croissant was not too salty and it had a nice flavor. - Service. Their staff appear to be on top of things. They're very nice and answered my questions. I did not wait very long for my order and it looked like everyone's order was handled smoothly and efficiently. - Price. The ham and cheese croissant was approximately $6 and my 20oz matcha latte was approximately $6. The balance came out to approximately $13. For the quality and portion size, it's pretty good value for money. - Layout. Very accommodating. There are a few bar stools at a counter near the front of the shop, several tables that seat 4 people, and a couple of couches towards the back with a coffee table in between. There is also a child size table with a couple of child size seats at the back, as well. This place appears to be popular, so be aware of the time you come here if you plan on dining in. Originally, I was hoping to snag the couches for myself and my group, but those were already taken by the time I arrived. Their bathroom accommodates physical handicaps and is a very good size. Everything inside was clean and organized. - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with other shops and restaurants. Good size parking lot for the plaza. What's Not - No non-dairy options. I asked if my matcha latte could be made with soy milk, and their staffer responded that they only have 1% milk or whole milk. It's a little frustrating that there aren't non-dairy options, but to each their own. Just be aware. - Quality. My ham and cheese croissant was good, but it did not have as much cheese as I was hoping. I like my baked goods to have a good amount of filling. Their ham and cheese croissant was somewhat lacking. Good flavor, but not filling, so be aware. Final Answer Am willing to come back, but perhaps not a first choice.

The noodles needed a little salt but overall very good. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture I will say since it's a rather small place the wait times can be long so it might be best to make reservations.

I struggled with whether this was a 4 or 5 star experience. I wish I could give 4.5 stars but,…read morealas, I cannot. Therefore, I coin it official round up day and round the score up to a 5!!! When I arrived they asked if we had a reservation and we didn't so they asked us to hold. I was worried we wouldn't get in but was very happy they found space for us. I must say everyone we encountered were very friendly (a tad slow at times but made up for it with friendliness). Their signature sweet tea is to die for - the mint infused delight was so great it was worth a second glass! The milk and honey latte was a hot cinnamon joy as well. I ate the smothered chicken and biscuits. It has a slightly spicy Cajun sauce, I got to pick the style of eggs and I opted for scrambled. Good choice! The biscuits (2) were soft and the chicken and eggs paired with them well. The chicken was a bit tougher to cut so they should offer people a steak knife or something sharper than a butter knife to cut it. But that is a mild complaint because the dish was delish. I also tried the berry French toast. It was super thick and, while it was a bit light on berries, the flavor was good and so was the syrup. One of the two slices tasted a bit on the greasy side but I still ate quite a bit of it. I finished the meal off with a fabulous sweet potato bread pudding. I love bread pudding and this was my first sweet potato variation to the dessert. Me likey....me likey a lot! This is my new favorite bread pudding, hands down!

The food was good; nothing to write home about, but if you're hungry and need something quick, this is your option. Pricing was a little high for what was received. No one was in the cafe when I entered and it was 5-10 min past the cut off for breakfast foods and I wasn't allowed to order breakfast. Rules are rules of course, but didn't seem like the idleness would lead to such a hard and fast rule. Furthering my summation of less than stellar service--the owner (I'm assuming) struggled to understand me in English and I couldn't understand her's. I'm assuming she was the owner, because she had all her personal items out on one of the tables; she would tend to them between customers. She also walked out to her car to get items for the cafe. Given it "felt like" -1 degrees according to The Weather App, seems like it would be common courtesy to allow patrons to park close. She was parked in the spot right next to the handicapped spaces. Essentially the only space close to the cafe. Didn't affect me, because I walked, but leaving spaces open for customers is best practice at most establishments. I'm from out of town (hence me staying at the Courtyard), so not sure how this compares to other local establishments. That being said, try to plan to get food elsewhere if able.

Food and service so good you'll forget you're in a mall parking lot!…read more We were out running errands and decided to grab a bite. Unfamiliar with the area, I jumped on yelp and found The Farmhouse with its 4.4 star rating. So there we went. The Waugh Chapel area is a giant shopping center. Wegmans, Old Navy, Verizon, etc. The Farmhouse is in a new building near the man road. Their whole thing is farm to fork, with some herbs and greens grown on site and others sourced locally. The service is great! Fast and friendly. Instead of bread or rolls, they warm you up with some country style homemade cornbread. Freshly baked, cast iron skillet, with butter and syrup. Yum! We had the meatloaf and the chicken and chicken and biscuits. The meatloaf was tasty, with homemade mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked fresh green beans. The chicken and biscuits is kind of like a chicken pot pie without the crust. The biscuits are on top so you can decide how much bread you want. The vegetables are nice and fresh, and the chicken is perfect white meat. A++ on both entrees. For dessert we had half-baked, which is an ooey gooey cookie and a brownie in a cast iron skillet topped with ice cream. We liked it, but next time I'll probably have just ice cream because the ice cream was absolutely perfect. Where are you? Stevensville? Baltimore? Solomon's? Alexandria? DC? You should make the drive to Waugh Chapel Station and get some fresh, delicious, better- than-home-cooked food.

When we arrived, our table appeared to be ready right at our reservation time, but we still had to wait to be seated. It wasn't a long delay, but it was a bit confusing and felt like a service issue. The ambience is beautiful and well done, and the bathrooms were clean. The food itself was solid across the board, and the chicken and biscuit was actually even better the next day as leftovers. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest drawback. Refills only happened when we asked, and splitting checks for a large group was more difficult than expected. At one point when a correction was needed, a member of our party noticed the server visibly rolling her eyes, which didn't help the experience. Drinks are also served by the can rather than fountain style, which made them feel overpriced without refills. For a place that presents as upscale, the experience shouldn't feel nickel-and-dimed. Overall, nice atmosphere and good food, but the service needs improvement before I'd consider returning.
