We put our selections on a tray and went to the counter where the girl working was so nice. We got 4 pastries and two coffees. All were absolutely perfect. Was in the area and had a taste for a strawberry matcha. So I thought to myself...you know PB had just opened the days you tried it out...maybe now it's gotten better... Fool me once...twice...but a third time...smh...I mean with 3/4 staff working...someone should be assigned to wiping things down!!! Surfaces, pastry cases and the register!!! & making sure the trays and tongs are crumb free... Crumbs...dead bugs...I can't...I can't believe I'm the only customer who sees this. I did snap some pics and a couple videos this time but I'm not going to ruin it for you...try them out for yourself... And as for my matcha! I honestly can't believe I ordered it...half of the drink didn't make it into my cup. Visited around 2:15 PM on a Friday, and it seemed like they were in the middle of a lunch rush. A few tables hadn't been cleared yet, which took away from the overall atmosphere a bit. They offer a wide variety of pastries, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I ordered a small iced caramel latte for $3.99. It had a really nice caramel flavor--smooth, not overly sweet, and not too strong on the coffee side. It was actually recommended by the barista, and I can see why it's a popular choice. For dessert, I tried the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting ($7.99 per slice). The slice was a generous size and presented nicely, and the cake itself was moist. However, the cream cheese frosting was a bit overpowering, making it hard to really taste the red velvet cake underneath. read more

Glad to see Paris Baguette adding more MD locations! When you enter, grab a tray and a pair of tongs and pick out what you like from the display cases. They have a nice variety of sweet and savory pastries, as well as cake slices and pre-prepared sandwiches. Their Nutella latte is my guilty pleasure. I would say they are about the same price point as Starbucks for the drinks. This location has a small seating area inside and a couple tables outside if you'd like to eat in. I could see it getting too crowded and hard to find a spot at peak times. read more

So keep in mind as you peruse through the cases, grab your tray with lining, tongs, and go for it. My first visit was quiet and after the rush, as staff worked hard to balance the flow. Constant replenishing of these pastries is work, yet the team the day of my visit kept the smiles and hospitality warm. Paris Baguette is a French inspired Korean brand, as many of their pastries are light, and cream filled. Some savory options are their signature curry croquettes, sausage breads, and ham and cheese croissants. The soft cream cakes comes topped with fresh berries. Sample a slice, or take home a whole one. Coffee of unique flavors and teas are subject to availability. Salads and sandwiches were very limited during my visit, hopefully they eventually serve Korean wraps and sandwiches too. Best times for optimal options are at opening, so visit early. I was excited to try Paris Baguette, I love trying new things. The bakery itself was very clean and bright. It was a wonderful atmosphere! The bakery cases were well lit and everything was labeled clearly so I knew what each pastry was. The pastries I picked up were delicious. One recommendation would be to have a quick warming option for the pastries. I would have loved to have mine warmed up. I also ordered a cafe latte with mocha. This was the highlight of my trip, the latte was delicious! The pastries seemed a little overpriced but the coffee was right on the mark for the price. The staff was slightly off putting. It seemed as though they didn't want to deal with people, which is unfortunate in a customer service business. I'd come back, just not often due to the price. read more

I just returned from picking up an on-line order at the Annapolis location. I ordered a Caprese baguette and checked the option to have it warmed. Instead it felt like it just came out of the refrigerator. I also ordered a Himalayan sea Salt Dark Chocolate bar. What I got was an Espresso Dark Chocolate Bar. And for this I added a 15% tip when placing the order! Whoever is packing these orders is not paying any attention to detail. Should you choose to shop at this location, you will need to check your order thoroughly for accuracy before leaving the store. Just now I received an online survey to complete but as soon as I clicked on the link, I received a message that the site I requested was not secure. I like their crème brûlée doughnut, but at 5:29 for two bites is a little expensive. Did a little digging and found out that most of their dough comes from South Korea already put together frozen so they just proof it and bake it. We'll be going to my local bakery, where I know everything is handmade. read more

I spend a lot of time in San Francisco where I enjoy countless great bakeries and coffee shops. Annapolis was sorely lacking in that regard, so I was happy to see Paris Baguette come to the area. The selection is wonderful and everything I tried so far has been great. The coffee is good but not exceptional. The downside of going there is that parking is a big hassle. I have had to circle the entire center to finally find a spot. The other problem is that it's difficult to find a place to sit. So I'll sometimes end up leaving. Maybe they should charge rent to the folks who camp out there with their lap tops. One source of entertainment is watching people come in and get confused about how the establishment operates. A bit of signage would go a long way. In short, welcome to Annapolis. I'll go there from time to time if my waistline permits, and I can find a parking spot and a set. read more

I love Asian "western" bakeries, where pastries are flaky and cakes are delicate, airy, and not too sweet. When I found out that Paris Baguette opened an Annapolis branch, I couldn't wait to try it. Alas, it did not live up to my (perhaps inflated) expectation. The positives: + the space is bright and cheerful. Even though the menu boasts a huge selection, everything is nicely laid out in an organized fashion. + they offer clear signage for the uninitiated -- trays and wax paper and tongs are laid out with pictograms explaining the steps. The meh's: - We asked the cashier a question about the drink menu (what's different about a Korean Iced Milk coffee from an iced latte?) and had him stumped. - Most of the food items are just OK -- not bad per se, but nothing special. We got: two different croquettes (curry, crab), a pizzetta, a mochi donut, a Portuguese egg custard, and a chocolate tart. I was particularly looking forward to the croquettes, but they were the most disappointing. Maybe it's just bad luck, but the curry croquette was especially low in fillings. We had them heated, but it tasted like it came out of a microwave -- not at all crispy, and the center was still cold. The flavor was... fine, I guess? Not at all the rich saucy curry I imagined. The mochi donut was pretty good -- tasted more or less like a donut. The egg custard also suffered a textural setback (a bit soggy, not flaky). The best of the lot was the chocolate tart, but even that was a bit dry. - After the meal, I took another gander at all their offerings. I was in today. I had place on online order. I had stopped in once before. Everything was delicious. This time I picked up my order and when I got home, my breads were missing. Checking my phone, I already had a message that they had discovered the error and to please give them a call. The store is new, so I wasn't really bothered. They could not have been more apologetic, gave me a credit immediately and continued to apologize. Everything in the order was delicious and so beautifully created. In the future I'll make sure to check my order. The shop is clean very cute. The are open seven days a week, which is a plus. Most bakeries are not. They do not close until 9:00.
