Heard about PJ's through The Blacklist DMV on TikTok, and it did not dissapoint! Service was great! The baristas working answered all my questions and gave me their reccomenddations. Ended up having a prailine and cream (i think) latte, very sweet but still had a strong nutty flavor. I was going to try the beignets, but wasn't sure how to pronounce it lol. The shop was rearranged to allow for 1 way traffic to minimize contacr with other customers during COVID, which I appreciated. Overally will definitely be comming back to PJ's! read more

We go for the beignets which are made to order. Great coffee too. It's a bit out of the way but if you want have a beignet fix, they're the one! I took off one star bc there were a few times where the dough wasn't completely cooked and had that the distinct gummy, sticky consistency where you know it's not done. It's all good though because they're the only local beignet spot I know of so far! read more

I went to PJ's because it had been recommended often on Nextdoor. This is a gem for Bowie. It was a beautiful day so I decided to sit outdoors. First, the service was great! The young folks were very helpful and polite. I ordered a caramel coffee with coconut milk and beignets. The coffee was hot, fresh and delicious! The beignets were a warm dream sprinkled with a cloud of powdered sugar. Yum! It was definitely worth falling off the sweet diet and deserves a return. read more

I really really want to like this place and really don't want to give a bad review. Especially since it's black owned and 2 minutes from my place. It always takes about 8 minutes to get my drink, even if I'm the only one there. The staff doesn't seem to know anything about coffee or have a passion for it. I find myself frequently having to explain my drink order (I order americanos or latte's, nothing fancy). Today I was told a large cup had only 1 shot of espresso in it. Usually most places it's a doppio or triple shot. Either they were wrong (which I'm guessing) or they are cheap and there's only 1 shot in the large (which doesn't make sense to me). I've been here about 10 times, really wishing the service and quality improves... but it's 2 minutes from me so I go anyways. Maybe the one in New Orleans is awesome? read more

Wow! What a coffee shop. Such a great experience. When you first walk in you are greeted by friendly staff. The coffee drinks are great and the decor is fitting for the new orleans theme. It pains me not to give 5 stars. I love PJs in New Orleans and was ecstatic when they came 10 minutes from me. I loved the beignets when they opened but the last 3 times have been disappointing. I should have known when I walked into the shop and it smelled of burned grease. I think they just need to refresh the oil that the beignets are made in more frequently. This makes the beignets have a weird taste and come out soggy. read more

I love love love PJs. The coffee is really good, and the beignets are the best I've had outside of New Orleans. This is a gem in our area.

I adore PJ's Coffee. Staff is so friendly. I usually put in a mobile order and it is ready when I arrive. Their food is delicious. My favorite drink is the Green tea mojito. I have also had their coffee which is excellent. I'd rather drive to PJs than other coffee places which is closer. Highly recommend! read more

When I walked in nobody even greeted me , I always get coffee in the morning From some other establishment and I said I would probably try them since it's right in the neighborhood I live I just wanted something very simple they were taking so long to do the orders and they were only two people in line I couldn't wait I had to leave there was no sense of urgency from the employees they were just taking their sweet time early in the morning people want to get in and get out I couldn't wait 10 minutes for a cuppa coffee too long had to go to work, guess I'll go back to my usual spot !
