This place is connected to the Sardi's but accessible from the sidewalk. The service was good. The options were good. The flavor of the brookies' ice cream is good, but it was unbelievably sweet. I meant to ask for one scoop, but I must have not been clear since I got two scoops. My kid got the cheesecake ice cream and said it was good, but it was also extremely sweet. I would go back to this place though. read more

I've been to other locations and for some reason this menu is smaller. The cheesecake is different. It's not actual cheesecake bites, it's just the crust in vanilla ice cream - I wasn't impressed. The service is always great and kind. This is my first time at this location and we had to order inside and then everyone eats outside lol. read more

I absolutely love this Bruster's located in the Bowie Town Center. The staff are AMAZING! Peering through the order window, I could see how clean the interior space was. Their ice cream is made in house and tastes soooooo good! We ordered two milkshakes. I will speak on the banana pudding and vanilla milkshake. It was delicious. Being greedy I ordered the bigger size and I could only finish half! read more

I came here to see what the hype was about and truly enjoyed every bit of ice cream. It was my first time here and the service was great. They were patient with me including my impatient toddler lol. I was able to enjoy my banana split. I wasn't found of the frozen fruit on top though. Next time I'll just say to keep those off. The spot is pretty easy to spot. However, during bad weather and the cold season you have to go indoors through the Sardis. It's a pretty popular spot so plan accordingly. read more

I ordered the Gooey Butter Cake and the Brookie. They were both so good! The Brookie was a good balance of bitter (from the chocolate ice cream and chocolate chips) and sweet with the brownie. I loved the cake pieces in the Gooey Butter Cake. They're my favorite flavors so far! My friend ordered the Chocolate Cake Batter and the Caramel Coconut Cookie. She mentioned that the chocolate cake batter was very good; she didn't like the caramel coconut cookie, she said the coconut was too strong for her liking. read more

Absolutely loved my Sugar cone with Oreo and brookie ice cream! It was my first visit, and Jose allowed me to sample a couple flavors. He was very friendly and patient. My only con is that the outdoor seating area was completely dark. There are a couple benches and tables with umbrellas, but it was so dark that nobody was actually utilizing it. I ate in my car and a couple was in the car next to me doing the same. Overall, I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some different flavors. read more

Takes a long time to get the ice cream but large portions that aren't like the others 10/10 would recommend must go during the summer

Ordered Ice cream and Italian ice using their online ordering. When I arrived still had to wait a few more minutes, no big deal. I wish they had told me that they did not have one of the flavors I ordered instead of substituting for another similar flavor. Aside from that the ice cream tasted great. read more

Stopped by to pickup ice cream treat for my family and I. After I ordered and waited a while, I went up to ask about my order, the server told me that it was never made then another server said that it was made/called but someone else took it - don't know how that could've happened when I was sitting right out front. In any case, they said that they would make it, I asked if I could get, maybe a discount or "next one on me" and the answer was no. The manager doubled down on that. I eventually got my order but no customer recovery or satisfaction. read more

Nice hot and humid day.... I scream, you scream ... we all scream for ice cream! This is a walk up window ; where you order and pay and they call your name when it's ready. There are a couple benches and tables to sit and eat at. I ordered a waffle cone with butter pecan ice cream. They definitely didn't skimp on the pecans. Pecans galore in my ice cream. . Hahaha more pecans than ice cream actually and I was okay with that. Usually places skimp on the pecans and only give you the cream. My other half ordered mango sorbet.... Light and refreshing and hit the spot. Nice treat on a hot day! Parking is shared with other restaurants and stores nearby ; on the plus side it's free at least. read more

I'm not sure if it's me, but this place is horrible; however, I've noticed this area either glorifies or accepts bad and mediocre.... I placed an order for pick up at this location. When I arrived the crew inside was very occupied with their inside conversations that they were unaware of an order placed 15 minutes ago. When they went to make my order I overheard someone mention a peanut butter cup and quickly alerted them that that wasn't what I ordered. One of the women looked at my order again and then came to the window to say "oh we actually don't have that," so I kindly asked for a refund. She responded that she needed the physical card and I told her I don't have it so I'd need to work it out with my bank, as I wasn't going to go get it and then return to the location. I ended up emailing them to discuss the refund. I was told they needed to check the cameras (I guess to make sure I didn't leave with any ice cream). Fine. Now here we are weeks later and no refund. When I learned that we would be having a Bruster's open up in the area, it was like the skies parted.... I love ice cream, and I don't give myself a treat too often but when I do, I want the real deal. Every time that I pass by this location, it is always busy with crazy lines. Today was no different, but the lines move pretty fast. I got a waffle cone with graham central station and cookies and cream. Sounds like an odd combination, but it was awesome! Graham central station is a graham flavored ice cream with chunks of grahams and chocolate. I tasted my first bite stopped and said "Jesus loves me, oh yes he does". It was that good. Cookies and cream is just that, and it didn't disappoint, with real cookie chunks. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors, because Bruster's is the place that you should come to try different things IMHO. The staff were nice; although, I wish they would do better with keeping up with the napkins and such. Also, they need a speaker system so that people can hear when their orders are called. Regardless, if you're in need of a sweet treat, this is definitely your place to go. read more

This was my first time visiting this spot and it won't be my last. I had a sample of the German chocolate and it was tasty. Scoops on scoops on scoops! Perfect for hot summer days. The Graham Central Station was so good with added brownie bites. The ice cream was so soft and the consistency was on point. If you don't try the speciality flavors or the flavors of the week, they offer the traditional chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and cookies and cream. Yayyyyyy!!! -Even though it was set to start August 1st, he said we could use them today There's a heatwave going on in the area, so this will cool me off... Yayyyyyy!!!! -I was SOOOOO ready for some coolness in my mouth; help reduce my temperature please Shaky/ungood order taking... Arghhhh!!!! -I ordered 3 items, 5 mins into my wait, the young lady returned to the window to ask me to repeat the order for 1 of the 3; actually it was only 2 items because unbeknownst to me, the 3rd item was unavailable Not the best customer service... Arghhhh!!! -While she only charged me for the 2 items I received; she bothered NOT to tell me the 3rd item ordered was unavailable. I was allowed to believe the whole order would be filled. I was unaware the 3rd item was unavailable & was only informed when I asked for the missing item. She informed me they didn't have the item, that the poster was just an advertisement Good followup from the gentleman... Yayyyyyy!!! -Upon request, the gentleman in the window provided lids for my to-go order and asked if there was anything more I needed or that he could do. I said No and went on my way; I was already spent. One person in my party didn't receive her order, so not cool. The coconut-pineapple sorbet was delightful... Yayyyyy!!!! -Yes it was tasty, I could ACTUALLY taste REAL COCONUT shavings, hello, WINNING... and the fact that it was NON-DAIRY, WOOOOHOOOO. Next time, I'll try some toppings... I DO plan to re-visit and I look forward to greater things. read more

We stayed in Riverdale for two weeks, and tried different ice cream spots whenever possible. This one was by far our favorite. They have a great selection of high unique high quality flavors. Our schedule had us driving through this area almost every day, so we came here whenever we didn't want to face the risk involved with trying a new place. Love their waffle cones, and there were no flavors we tried that we weren't crazy about. They have several locations, this one specifically is not connected to their website for some reason. If you're looking for a sure thing, find a Brusters. We got ice cream almost every day we stayed here from as many different places as we could manage, and this is the name we'll remember. read more

We stopped by Bruster's Ice Cream on a hot summer evening to finally give them a try. We placed our orders of the warm chocolate chip cookie ice cream sundaes and we waited for a good 15 minutes for our order. Not a big deal, they had a sizable amount of people waiting prior to us arriving. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful, so no issues there. In the time we had to wait for our order, we checked out the menu and we noticed their very extensive menu. They have everything from ice cream sundaes, sherbet, sorbet, milkshakes, waffle cones, to just ice cream in a cup. A few benches and picnic tables are available to eat your frozen goodies, but we opted to just go home after our order was up. To be honest, I really wasn't impressed. The cookie was just average and the ice cream wasn't memorable at all. Something was salty, either the cookie or the hot fudge. Weird, I know, but it's the truth. My dinning companion thought the same thing. It was cool to try something different, but I think we'll stick to our other local ice cream spot. read more

Very nice quick-service spot next door to Sardi's. It's actually attached and is both an inside and outside shop. It's solid ice cream, though, with a good selection of flavors and very fast service at reasonable prices. The mango-drangonfruit sorbet is not to be missed (if that's your style). So tasty! That might be my new favorite flavor! Everything everyone got in our party was great, though. No complaints, including from the 5 year old. It's a great stop for a nice summer-time (or any-time) treat! read more

I've patronized this locations a few time and have yet to be disappointed. The butter pecan ice cream is stellar. I'm very repetitive when it comes to ice cream. Not one to try a variety of flavors. But the butter pecan is amazing... halves of pecans, in abundance with a very lightly salted flavor in the ice cream. The servant was extremely polite and attentive, offering a variety of sizes and also inquired about added things like sprinkles and such. Very family oriented and a pleasant establishment. Seems to stay pretty busy, but that's a good thing. Will definitely be having more butter pecan soon! read more

The manager at this location was extremely rude to me after a simple request to simply change the flavor of the ice cream that I ordered. The young lady that I requested to change the flavor of my ice cream with did not know how to handle the situation so she went to talk to the manager, the manager comes to the window, (the same window that I've been standing at outside for almost a half an hour in 90 degree heat because they closed the inside window and only have one window going outside even though there's a line down the street) very irate, rude and aggressive and asked me "what is the issue" as if I were complaining. I explained to him that I had not been given the ice cream therefore, I did not touch it and that I just wanted to exchange it for a different flavor. He proceeds to tell me in a harsh tone that the ice cream was just made. It was not hard enough to serve and they don't serve soft ice cream. I said "no problem, she could've told me that this did not warrant the need for a manager" he proceeds to yell at me and say "well she's a teenager ma'am! She's a teenager!" at that point, my children and I just walked away, and I heard him slam the window. At no point did I yell at this man or the young girl that was helping me, at no point did I take a harsh tone with either of them. my children really wanted this ice cream, but if it were not for them really wanting this ice cream. I would've asked him to refund me my money, that is how nasty aggressive and rude he was to me in front of my children over a trivial matter. Disgusting customer service. When we got in the car, my children asked me why "was he yelling at you like that?" Is this what Bruster's stands for with their customer service? read more

May2023: 4: I went by in the evening to get dessert after our family meal nearby. l stood in line for a while but we were eventually called for our order. Two of the ice cream selections I wanted were not available. I had to choose from what they had left in the freezer at the time. The workers were fairly quick and polite. Several choices later, were getting fatter thanks to our choices. The front of the restaurant was congested with vehicle traffic and there were no handicap parking spaces available adjacent to the front door. There was some outside seating, but it too was limited. Wonderful service from Tariq. He should be manager because he has great customer service.

I placed an online pick-up order with Bruster's at Bowie Towne Center in Bowie, MD. The customer service is horrid at this location. When I arrived, I greeted the cashier and told her that I was picking up an online order. She asked me my name, and when I told her she looked puzzled. She said something but she wasn't speaking loud enough. Then a man, the shift manager, walked into the store and walked towards the employee entrance of the kitchen. The cashier stopped him and asked if he received an order for me, and it seemed she wanted to say more before Jose interrupted. She was speaking low, so perhaps he couldn't hear her, but he was incredibly rude about it. He interrupted her and said, "ok but what's going on? I need more, what is it?" I told him that she asked if he received an order for my name. Then, while flashing his hands and rolling his neck he hastily says," okay but what is it, where'd you order it from? You're looking at me like..." I stopped him right there, and told him not to speak to me that way and that he was being exceptionally rude. He goes on about not knowing where the order came from as in DoorDash or "online." I told him to first apologize for his tone and mannerisms as he was being rude. He says, "ohhhh sureee! I apologize...but I wasn't being rude." Some apology that was. I told the manager that I'd ordered from the store's app, but he kept asking if it was DoorDash. I told him twice that it was the Bruster's app before he finally stopped asking and then rudely said, "oh ok...then that's online." He then says, "well we didn't get your order, and you need to ask 'them' for a refund." I'm confused about who 'them' is considering that I used the Bruster's app. He claims that's a third party (I understand the location is a franchise). The conversation became even more intense and I decided to just say okay and leave. The cashier that I was originally speaking with apologized to me and said to have a good day. When I returned home and asked if he was the store manager that I was just speaking with and he said yes, I asked for his name. He in turn asked me for my name--I just don't understand. I informed him that I was submitting a complaint to the "third party" he advised me to contact, and they're requesting the name of the "server." He tells me, "ooohhh you can have them to call Bruster's at Bowie Towne Center if they have any questions." I reiterated the need for his name. He finally tells me it. The response from customer service will determine if I return to this location. read more
