Was out and about with my daughters and happened upon this Kung Fu tea location and decided to check it out. It's in a shopping area with lots of parking. This was my first time at a Kung Fu Tea shop. The inside was nice with a limited amount of seating. The drink menu was extensive plus there were additional flavors posted all over with additional flavors. I ordered Taro Slushs + Purple Yam (Ube) and Boba for the girls and a Kung Fu Milk Tea for myself. I usually don't use the kiosk for ordering but I did this time. Well I should have stuck to my routine of not using the kiosk because I accidentally ordered one Taro Slush with a double helping of Ube and a double helping of Boba. Well the nice folks there remade the drink for me though it was my mistake. The girls loved their drinks. This was the first time having ube in their drinks and they really liked it. My Kung Fu Tea was really good with good tea flavor. Overall a great drinks and great service. Would definitely come back!

Love Kung Fu tea, I was so devastated when they shut down during the lock down! They are back with new hours from 12pm-7pm every day. You must wear a mask to enter and only two people are allowed in the store at one time. You can also order through the Kung Fu app to save time. My favorite teas are the classic, taro and Thai milk tea if you like them sweet! Cheers Kung Fu reopening.

Loved it. Bubble tea just so happens to be my newest obsession. I've driven by Kung Fu Team a million times and after being in the Gambrills area yesterday, I finally decided to stop. I played it safe and got an Oreo Milk Creme tea which I liked but didn't love, but that's not an indication on the service I received as much as it was a choice on my end. That said, they were set up for social distancing, and had the proper precautions in place. Service was just ok. Nobody really spoke to me much other than to get my order but that also wasn't a deal breaker. Because of my love of bubble tea, I will be back.

Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love bubble tea!! One of my favorite places to go for bubble tea is Kung Fu Tea check them out @kungfuteausa !! They have soo many flavors and so many varieties of combinations! They use fresh fruit in the tea to.. the lychee fruit from the lychee black tea is so tasty ! Secret confession when I can't decide sometimes I get 2!! One for me and one for ....

Good new boba place in the Waugh Chapel area! We swung in looking for boba while visiting family in the area. Very clean on the inside. We got a Taro smoothie and tea, as well as a brown sugar milk tea. They were all sweet and had a TON of boba. The boba was nice and chewy and had a great texture. Lots of options to choose from. Great addition to Waugh Chapel shopping area.

I've visited this location many times before writing this review. Each time the drinks were consistent and delicious. Each visit I get the lychee black tea with boba and love it each time. The staff are nice and speedy so you aren't waiting forever for your order. The shop is tidy and clean. Your beverage is very easy to order either with an employee or on a touch screen.

First time having a drink from here. Not real sure how I found this place but I'm glad I did. The grapefruit and the green tea mix well together for a soothing taste. There are many options on the menu and I can't wait to go back.

My boba levels got dangerously low when KFT and other bubble tea places closed during the covid-19 shutdown. I was ecstatic when I saw a small socially-distanced crowd of people outside their doors. It made me forget where I was even driving to. Some of their efforts to keep everyone safe: - Changed their daily hours from 12-7pm - Menu posted on their window - Only two people allowed in the store at one time - Blocked off aisle beyond the ordering counter I finally got to refuel with a taro slush, extra boba, to make up for lost time. I've missed you!

I like to stop at this location when I'm passing through. The staff members are always pleasant and patient with me and other customers when taking orders. They are also pretty fast and have never messed up my order. The place is clean and tidy every time. I can also tell that they work well together as a team which I think helps make the orders go fast. I will always visit and recommend this location! Drinks are always delicious!

Ultimately my favorite bubble tea .. and I've tried a lot of them. My go-to for apples to apples comparison is a traditional jasmine green tea with boba. Kung Fu Tea is the only place where I can order it with no sweet and still enjoy if. My hunch (unproven) is that they somehow soak their boba in honey which provides just enough sweet for the tea. (I soak my boba in honey at home when I make it, ergo my hunch).., at any rate, both kids prefer Kung Fu Tea and once I got over the frustration of adding yet another app to my overloaded phone, I found that ordering and paying are quite simple. They have responded well to dealing with Covid in both the Gambrills(welcome back) and the College Park locations. Our favorites include: Cll L associated Jasmine Green Tea, Milk tea and Passion Fruit Green tea (daughter), and Taro milk Tea and Coco Cream WOW (son)

I was surprised to see a KFT that opened up in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre - just like the others, this tea place offers Classics, Punch, Milk Teas, Milk Strikes, Espressos, Yogurts, Slush, and various specials. We ordered the Strawberry Lemon Green Tea, one with boba and one without. Both were a little less tart and more on the sweeter end; however, they were still refreshing and tasty! The cashier was super friendly, and the place has high ceilings and is bright. The drinks, however, do take some time at this location. +friendly cashier +located inside the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre

Ask the Community - Kung Fu Tea

I always go to this place, but recently i've been wanting to produce less plastic would i be able to bring in my own cup and they can fill it and i can pay from there?

Good question! Ask the owners next time. High chance it's possible since all their drinks are made with their equipment and only poured last minute into the to-go cups.

This is a really nice, clean, local coffee with really bubbly personalities working the registers and making our coffees. Our drinks came out fast - we got the Honey Vanilla Bean Lattes, hers with oat milk, mine with almond milk and enjoyed them a lot. We will be back.

Came here for the first time on a Saturday at 11am with a group of friends. I ordered their matcha…read morelatte with 1% milk, and a ham and cheese croissant. What's Hot - Menu. Pretty good variety. There's coffee and non-coffee options. Unfortunately for me, they ran out out of chai by the time I ordered. In terms of food, there are sweet and savory baked goods. For croissants, I saw the ham and cheese; chocolate filled croissants, bagels, and other sweet and savory pastries. Later in the day, there appear to be more meal options, like sandwiches and such. - Quality. My matcha latte was pretty good. I asked for no sweetener, so the flavor of the latte was the simple matcha flavor, which I really liked. They warmed up my croissant, which helped, because it was soft. The croissant was not too salty and it had a nice flavor. - Service. Their staff appear to be on top of things. They're very nice and answered my questions. I did not wait very long for my order and it looked like everyone's order was handled smoothly and efficiently. - Price. The ham and cheese croissant was approximately $6 and my 20oz matcha latte was approximately $6. The balance came out to approximately $13. For the quality and portion size, it's pretty good value for money. - Layout. Very accommodating. There are a few bar stools at a counter near the front of the shop, several tables that seat 4 people, and a couple of couches towards the back with a coffee table in between. There is also a child size table with a couple of child size seats at the back, as well. This place appears to be popular, so be aware of the time you come here if you plan on dining in. Originally, I was hoping to snag the couches for myself and my group, but those were already taken by the time I arrived. Their bathroom accommodates physical handicaps and is a very good size. Everything inside was clean and organized. - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with other shops and restaurants. Good size parking lot for the plaza. What's Not - No non-dairy options. I asked if my matcha latte could be made with soy milk, and their staffer responded that they only have 1% milk or whole milk. It's a little frustrating that there aren't non-dairy options, but to each their own. Just be aware. - Quality. My ham and cheese croissant was good, but it did not have as much cheese as I was hoping. I like my baked goods to have a good amount of filling. Their ham and cheese croissant was somewhat lacking. Good flavor, but not filling, so be aware. Final Answer Am willing to come back, but perhaps not a first choice.

Food and service so good you'll forget you're in a mall parking lot!…read more We were out running errands and decided to grab a bite. Unfamiliar with the area, I jumped on yelp and found The Farmhouse with its 4.4 star rating. So there we went. The Waugh Chapel area is a giant shopping center. Wegmans, Old Navy, Verizon, etc. The Farmhouse is in a new building near the man road. Their whole thing is farm to fork, with some herbs and greens grown on site and others sourced locally. The service is great! Fast and friendly. Instead of bread or rolls, they warm you up with some country style homemade cornbread. Freshly baked, cast iron skillet, with butter and syrup. Yum! We had the meatloaf and the chicken and chicken and biscuits. The meatloaf was tasty, with homemade mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked fresh green beans. The chicken and biscuits is kind of like a chicken pot pie without the crust. The biscuits are on top so you can decide how much bread you want. The vegetables are nice and fresh, and the chicken is perfect white meat. A++ on both entrees. For dessert we had half-baked, which is an ooey gooey cookie and a brownie in a cast iron skillet topped with ice cream. We liked it, but next time I'll probably have just ice cream because the ice cream was absolutely perfect. Where are you? Stevensville? Baltimore? Solomon's? Alexandria? DC? You should make the drive to Waugh Chapel Station and get some fresh, delicious, better- than-home-cooked food.

When we arrived, our table appeared to be ready right at our reservation time, but we still had to wait to be seated. It wasn't a long delay, but it was a bit confusing and felt like a service issue. The ambience is beautiful and well done, and the bathrooms were clean. The food itself was solid across the board, and the chicken and biscuit was actually even better the next day as leftovers. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest drawback. Refills only happened when we asked, and splitting checks for a large group was more difficult than expected. At one point when a correction was needed, a member of our party noticed the server visibly rolling her eyes, which didn't help the experience. Drinks are also served by the can rather than fountain style, which made them feel overpriced without refills. For a place that presents as upscale, the experience shouldn't feel nickel-and-dimed. Overall, nice atmosphere and good food, but the service needs improvement before I'd consider returning.

I actually came Thursday morning and ended up leaving because the line was long. I didn't have time to wait just to order and then wait again for food. On Friday, I did it the smarter way and ordered ahead online, then picked up from the Mad Eggs food truck in the rear, which worked out way better. I went for breakfast and ordered a scrapple, egg, and cheese biscuit ($10) and breakfast tots ($4.25). The order took about 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad considering how packed it was around 9:00 a.m. I even noticed people waiting in their cars before heading up to the truck, so the timing felt realistic given the volume. If I had more time, I would've waited without an issue. Food-wise, everything was good, but I had mixed feelings. The biscuit sandwich tasted fine, but for $10, I expected more. It wasn't loaded, and at that price point it just didn't quite make sense to me--I know that sounds sarcastic, but it's hard not to compare when it's a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese. The breakfast tots, on the other hand, were the better deal. I liked these a lot. The portion made more sense for the price, and I really liked that you're encouraged to customize them. That part was right up my alley. With all the topping options, I do wish they offered a sauce or gravy option (like sausage or country gravy), but even without that, this is something I'd order again and again. The coffeehouse itself is small but clean and quaint, with a few tables. Parking out front is very limited--maybe five cars--but there's more space in the back near the food truck, and there's a rear entrance, which is probably the best move. Staff was friendly and efficient, and even from inside you can tell things are run pretty smoothly. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that side much, but I've had food brought home from here before by my wife and really enjoyed the matcha tea smoothie in the past. Overall, I'd definitely return. I think Rise Up does a good job in general, and I've enjoyed their Severna Park and downtown Annapolis locations before. I just expected more out of a $10 biscuit sandwich--but I'd happily come back for the tots and other menu items.
