I asked for additional things, and every wish was granted. The BEST latte I ever had is here. I ordered the award winning shrimp and grits and added salmon and crumbled bacon to it for a twist. Then I asked for cheese eggs and they were prepared exactly like I prefer. I took a bite and paused, looking for somebody to smack it was so good. My food, including the eggs, were seasoned to perfection and deserving of the awards. The portions were generous. Although I had to ask for my biscuits and tea that came after the entree, they were worth waiting for. Now, being a true southerner, the test for winning me completely over was the sweet tea that most restaurants get wrong. How about they were spot on with sweetness and flavor, and it tasted like somebody brewed it at home. Wait..the biscuits get a 2nd mention! When I bit into "that there" fluffy biscuit moistened with butter, it melted with every bite and the spft spreadable butters are wonderful. Happy Birthday to me!

AunTea Boba's drinks are so good for not having to drive to either college park, dc, or Annapolis for a boba drink. I recommend the Mango Marble with Star Jelly if you are craving something sweet. We were there to eat as a family. It was crazy how it's staggered. Was never checked on for a refill of drink drinks. Do not recommend this location due to the attitude of the servers. Get the breakfast platter with plantains, scrambled eggs, chorizo (sausage), refried beans, crema (similar to a milder, sweeter sour cream) and queso fresco (dry, salty squares of cheese). There are 3 variations on this breakfast platter, served all day here. You did not visit Flor Blanca until you eat one of their breakfast platters, shown in photos on the special breakfast menu. And, the rich coffee - to go with it - is definitely a thing here. 2.) Get the soft banana pudding bread (I don't know what they call it but it's the only dessert with a golden top that looks like a square slice of bread pudding.) Heat it up at home. It's tender and mild. Don't pour rum on top of this bread pudding because you may not be the same, afterward. And you will end up wanting more. 3.) Get the plain tamales and make sure to buy extra crema. You cannot find homemade tamales just anywhere outside of holidays. These tamales are so good. Meow meow meow meow. Listen, there is a lot of good food here. I love the plain white rice as it is seasoned well. So when it is served with an entree I sometimes get another side order to take home. The horchata drink was an early afternoon ritual for me, at times, along with the heated banana bread pudding. (If anyone knows what this is called I'll update the description.) People live to go in-and-out just to pick up a red tray and fill it up with pastries to go. Tempting! The cakes are moist and the cake pops are delicious. I love the mango tres leches cake here. And you can get a large, professional cake baked. There is a whole catalog of special event cake designs to choose from. Even though they close at 8pm, most people eat here much earlier, as I've seen and seem to finish before 7. I used to come here when no English was spoken at the counter. You could say the food names by navigating and pointing to the menu photos. It was like you were in a completely different country. Now, a few years later, all of the staff can speak to you. Either way, they were patient with me and my broken Spanglish. I really like the team, here. We have been here en la noche (night) - eating late and enjoying the food - and they have always been gracious and helpful. Just ask them what the most popular dish for that time of day you are there. I'm learning that we need to come earlier and take our food to go if it's after 7ish because otherwise we are sitting alone. There are so many menu items I didn't touch on which I've enjoyed, but do not miss the first 3! #localtastebyjenny

This restaurant was very new, having opened less than a month before our visit, and it was packed with people on a Monday morning. One thing that immediately stood out was the atmosphere. The restaurant had a fresh, modern feel, and the space was noticeably larger than most First Watch locations we've visited. It felt open, bright, and welcoming despite how busy it was. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, and our food took a little longer than usual to arrive, but given the crowd, that was understandable. As always, First Watch delivered a great experience. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I had a good laugh when she asked if we wanted separate checks at the end of our meal. LOL The food arrived hot, fresh, and well-seasoned, just as we've come to expect from First Watch. Overall, it was another enjoyable visit, and I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area.
