One thing that stood out is how big and diverse the menu is, with a lot of vegan options as well, which is pretty rare for a pizzeria. Everything felt fresh and the staff was friendly. Oh Pizzanada, how I love you so much. I come here all the time and it's hands down one of my favorite spots in Bloomfield. It's a dream for vegans!!! They have a full vegan menu and pretty much everything can be made vegan. It's a true pizzeria with slices ready to go, which makes it super convenient. The food is always fresh and the desserts are top tier (I've even seen the lady come in and restock the fridge herself). My favorites: the Grandpa slice, jalapeño cheesesteak, donut pull apart pepperoni pizza, and the cold cut sub. My daughter loves the mac and cheese empanada and I love the meatball empanada. There's seating inside, but I usually take it home and enjoy it with my family. The staff is the best; the sweet lady behind the counter always recognizes me and greets me with a smile. I was totally shocked how many vegan options they have at this pizza place and the vegan food was actually really good. I actually really enjoyed the pizza. We order plenty of the non-vegan menu and all the food was super good and delicious. We have been living in NJ since January. With all things, the transition has been interesting. Coming from NY, we are spoiled with the amount of pizza options we have. Based on our craving, we have specific pizza joints we frequent. We have pizza at least once a week but we have not had a decent slice since being here. As a matter of fact, every slice has been less than stellar in north jersey. I have had good pizza in jersey but it has always been in South jersey. I even tried a place that David Portnoy did his one bite challenge and I found it ok but not the type my wife and I enjoy. Pizzanada combines 2 things I really love, pizza and empanadas and do them both amazingly well. The empanadas are overstuffed and as a kicker, the name of the store is in the crust. If it was a bad empanadas, this could be tacky but it's an awesome empanada so they can do it. We had a chicken parm and a cheese steak. They even come with pickled onions and jalapeños to help cut the richness of the filling. Now, the pizza. The sauce is exactly the tangy sauce I love on my pizza. As you can see from the photo, they don't skimp on the toppings. My pie had mushrooms, olives, peppers, sausage and pepperoni. The cheese you could tell was high quality and the crust was amazing. Every bite had a little bit of all the ingredients. We will be having our weekly pizza from Pizzanada from this time forward. It's 20 minutes from my apartment but I am willing to drive for a good slice, i am glad I do not have to settle any more. They have vegans options as well, if that's your thing. I tried the vegan meatballs and was quite surprised on how good they were. Their sauce really makes everything better. If you haven't tried Pizzanada, you need to go and try it! read more

Stumbled upon this place when looking for a pizza spot that had dairy free items. I noticed the menu had a large amount of vegan food, allowing me to eat them without dairy. I placed an order for a vegan pizza and vegan mozzarella sticks. Both were good. I haven't had a mozzarella stick in over 8 years - it was good, tasted different but it grew on me. The pizza was good too, the cheese was a little sticky but I didn't mind. Overall I'm happy with this place and I'll be back to try more. Thank you for having a large amount of dairy free items. Pizzanada is seriously out of this world. I'm vegetarian and a vegan foodie so the options are endless. Everything I've ordered has been consistently high quality. My favorites are their regular plain pizza, vegan chicken Caesar wrap which is the perfect portion with extra salad on the side - the best touch ever, buffalo cauliflower, vegan cannolis are to die for and just had the vegan blueberry empanada that came out hot and delicious, literally drooling!!!! Pizzanada is one of my favorite vegan spots in north jersey. I have been here many times for dine in, take out, and Uber eats. The food quality is very good and the options are endless. Very unique specials offered each week. My few favorites are the vegan tie dye pie, vegan Italian sub, and their delicious desserts. The vegan vodka sauce and pesto are some of the best I've ever had. Pizza sizes are standard and decent pricing for the pies! Their empanadas are on the expensive end, but they commonly have BOGO deals on ubereats for these. They also have Groupon deals from time to time which are great to feed your family. My only complaint is that I've noticed that they have been recently decreasing the portions/quality on some of their items like the vegan Italian sub. The Italian sandwich shown in other reviews is now half the size and served on a lower quality bread. This is really disappointing because this was one of my go-to items and it's not a cheap sandwich. The last few times I've ordered it they left off the cheese and like I said deceased the size. They also replaced one of the Italian hams with Tofurky (they may have run out but they should've let me know). I'm not sure if this is temporary or a permanent change but this happened twice so far so I'm hesitant to recommend you ordering this sandwich. read more

My fiancée and I decided to go check the place out in person. It's a small place but very clean and well put together. You can order at the counter and then get table service. I am vegan and my fiancée is not. But they have two full menus for vegans and non vegans so it works out perfectly. We got garlic knots and vegan mozzarella sticks to start. I haven't had mozzarella sticks in ages and they were delicious!!! Had a nice cheese pull and everything. Then I had a vegan calzone with impossible meatballs and peppers. It was delicious but I had filled up so much on the garlic knots and mozzarella sticks that I had to pack most of it. The lady who was working the counter was so nice. It was a lovely experience. I was so excited to try their pizza! A few other people I work with agreed to try it with me. Not all mozzarella cheese is equal so I was curious of how the cheese was gonna be. We ordered a vegan eggplant pie. It was cold by the time it got to us and this isn't the best vegan mozzarella that I've had either. I don't recommend ordering their food for delivery. I'm sure it would have been better if I went there. It was a good pie, but plenty of room for improvement. One of my co-workers ordered brussel sprouts. They didn't send them. They sent French fries & didn't charge us. I guess they figured it would be easier to just send free french fries than to call. Well folks, I've finally done it. I've finally found the third pizza joint that completes the unholy trinity of pizza (loyal readers will know that the other two are Ramsey's Sal's Cornerstore Pizza and East Rutherford's Master Pizza & Clams). The name, Pizzanada, I discovered after countless hours in the library studying languages and etymology (or entomology, I don't really know. Whatever isn't the bug one), is a clever portmanteau of the two main food items that Pizzanada serves: Pizza and Empanadas. Both are delicious. Try the Tie Dye Pie if you're ready to be dissatisfied with all future pizza you enjoy. The workers have always been kind and helpful, even when the place is busy like you wouldn't believe. Given how busy they are frequently (especially on Friday nights, I gather), there have been times I had to wait a little for my order. Not an issue, because the food is worth the wait. The thing that's quite impressive is that the menu is basically double the size of a traditional pizza joint's menu, as almost everything on the menu comes with a vegan alternative. Great options for plant-free Bloomfield-ites or those of us who are just guilted into eating less meat by our significant others. The vegan options are usually pretty consistent in price with the non-vegan options, which is nice. Cute storefront. I've never dined in but they have the space for it. I found out about this place from a group I am in on Facebook. I was told they had some vegan options so I gave it a try. I ordered the rice and beans empanadas and the vegetable empanadas over the phone. When I arrived I had trouble finding street parking so be prepared for that. When I walked in the owner or manager was very welcoming and allowed me to take pictures. He told me they just opened a month ago. The vegan options included pizza (only pie, no slices), some empanadas, and eggplant parmesan. The price was about $4 per empanada and it was a pretty good size. As I was paying he asked the female that was there to bring me another empanada for free and it was the butternut squash one and it was new. I thought that was so nice. When I got home I dug in and the rice and beans empanada was my favorite out of all. The veggie empanada was well seasoned and I wasn't a fan of the squash empanada. Great little pizza shop near Newark airport (15 minutes away). Dropping someone off at the airport and was looking for a decent vegan pizza place. Reviews and Happy Cow suggested worth a try - well worth it!! I had a few questions about the menu and they were very helpful with answers. We placed a takeout order, the place was a small pizza place in a neighborhood with a few outdoor seats and was pretty busy when I picked up around 6 on Sunday. Had a great lunch here with my husband when we visited New Jersey! The cashier was also the person taken phone orders, the person waiting the tables, and the person who bakes the vegan treats! She works so hard and the customers don't suffer for it. We still found her to be extremely friendly and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. I had a lentil and sweet potato empanada that came with a vegan ceviche and it was so good. I also ordered the vegan ravioli which I thoroughly enjoyed. I decided to round up. I'd give Pizzanada a 3.5. We ordered a plain pie. Pretty easy to not mess up. However, it wasn't anything special. The dough was cooked nicely, not soggy or burnt. They use very minimal sauce and a fair amount of cheese. The slice is very thin. In my opinion it wasn't cheesy enough. The empanada was our dessert. It was very tasty. I just moved to the area and was searching for a new nearby pizza joint. I read the other yelp reviews and gave this place a shot. Other people aren't lying when they say this place is really good! I ordered a chicken bacon ranch slice and 2 garlic knots to go ($5.35). Every single thing about the slice was delicious - the crust, small cut bacon cooked to perfection, great amount of chicken - there was nothing not to like about it. If CBR is your vibe then definitely grab it from here. The garlic knots were amazing too! Great flavor and the accompanying marinara on the side was flavorful too. I'd gladly reorder both items again. Staff: I wasn't sure if this place did to-go slices so I called to check. The person who answered was very nice, told me yes they did to-go, then proceeded to let me know their current holdings. They were very sweet! In person, the guy who served me nice and courteous too. Even the guy working behind making the food chimed into the conversation so it looks like they have a nice team working there. Interior: Small place with a few tables inside and outside. The size to me doesn't matter but the cleanliness does. I could see into the kitchen which looked good and the overall table and floor were clean so I'm satisfied. Parking: There isn't a parking lot but there is plenty of parking in the front. Just no parking on Thursdays 9-noon or when there's snow. Photo attached. Wow. During my visit, I experience good customer service; an employee answers questions I have about my wonderfully filling meal particularly of the Canola Oil of the Mozarella Sticks (due to their texture and making me feel so full--though food through a frying process is not for my body, l decide to try them observing how I feel with each bite [slow portion for me] because I like Mozarella Sticks a lot [so glad to know a spot with Vegan Mozarella Sticks]!). I'm really glad about finding such a diverse Vegan menu with SO MANY Vegan APPETIZERS. Good appetizers really boost a meal for me. I literally eat the meal for dinner and breakfast the following day (so good and filling). The Vegan Garlic Bread Knots are tasty, and I feel like contribute to me feeling so full early on in the meal (I eat them first). The Vegan Mozarella Sticks are good though unlike the Vegan Garlic Bread Knots taste better to me with the Marinara sauce (which is lightly sweet though mostly savory). The highlight of the meal for me is the Vegan Jamaican Beef Patty because since arriving in New Jersey I ask around for Vegan Jamaican Patties then come to find Pizzanada serves them! The Jamaican Beef Patties come with a salad. The seasoning of the soft crust (soft all the way to the edges) tastes so good, even better on the salad as a dry seasoning (the salad alone is decent). The Jamaican Beef Patties are so filling, and I enjoy them for breakfast (no fridge period, just on the kitchen table overnight, the salad sitting in the pan next to the Jamaican Beef Patties tastes even better with the lengthier joint sitting). AMAZING!!! Just got home from our first time at Pizzanada and we'll be back for sure!! Went with a group of 14 (about half ordered from the vegan menu). Every single meal was delicious, and the portions are huge! To get 14 meals on the table at the same time piping hot took a lot. Everyone took half their meal home. So many options for everyone in our party. But the best part was the service!!! Rosie and the team were so friendly (we are on a first-name basis by the end of our meal)! For those interested in their curbside pickup process, you do have to go inside and pick up the food/pay. We ended up ordering buffalo wings, a roasted chicken and cheese empanada, and a cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was your standard pizza and it was bland, nothing to really rave about. But the buffalo wings were really good and so was the empanada. Would definitely go back for those too. But I wouldn't order the cheese pizza again, maybe I'll try the tie dye pizza next time. read more
