The Chef/Owner was patient, welcoming, and very passionate about his craft. He walked us through the pies, highlighting plenty of vegetarian options. I chose the mushroom and caramelized onion, and after chatting about his family's cooking history from Sicily and five‑day dough fermentation process, he generously offered a vegan slice on the house. The Roman‑style crust reminded me of focaccia, soft on top yet crisp around the edges, sturdy enough to hold the toppings. The roasted vegetables were fresh, the squash creamy and rustic, and the marinara sauce was hearty, a truly memorable experience. I'm a firm believer in the universe never failing me so, me landing at Teglia was meant to be bc I went to a different pizza joint but they were closed and Teglia was literally down the street. Super small shop but I guess that's why they call in a pizza bar bc there are only like 2-3 stools near the window with a thin wooden bar to post up and eat your slice. Was greeted the minute I walked in and the gentleman at the counter answered all my questions regarding what was what as far as the pizzas went bc there weren't any labels and nothing was "obvious". Landed on the chicken parm slice (which says a lot bc I am not a fan of chicken on pizza but this looked really good) and a drunken nonna slice both of which I asked to be heated up so I could take them to go and enjoy at home. Within a matter of minutes I secured the pizza bag and that drive home was so tempting bc the smell of the slices was like heaven and I wanted to pull over to eat them lol but I didn't. I decided to have 1/2 of each slice and save the rest for later ... when I tell you both slices were BOMB ... I mean BOMB BOMB OMG BOMB!!!! Not one single recommendation or complaint ... and as I mentioned earlier I'm typically not a fan of chicken on pizza ... Teglia changed that because I'd try any slice they have with chicken on it going forward bc the chicken farm slice was AMAZING! I was looking for a pizza shop that I hadn't been too. Something that offered variety. & I found it! This small pizza shop , although small. It's a little hidden gem (in my opinion). Something that stood out to me , is that all of their slices and pizzas are Sicilian style. Which I LOVED! The guy who greeted us, which I assumed is the owner , was super sweet and showed us all of the options they had available. He was friendly and welcoming. The crust was perfect. Not too doughy and chewy.. it was soft with the perfect flakiness to it. It was able to hold the toppings and sauce. I absolutely loved it lol They offered a lot of variety which is why I opted to take a few and me and my hubby just shared. Our favorite was the spinach artichoke. Super flavorful and just perfect in every bite! They have veggie options and also stuff for meat lovers or those who like a little bit of both worlds. The pizza has a nice crisp bottom layer, followed by a soft cheesy middle layer and topped with some delicious selections like truffle with mushrooms, pepperoni cups and roasted garlic. Everything on each slice works wonderfully together. Seating is tight as there is only a few located against the wall, if eating in is your preference. Years ago this location used to be Mancini's pizza and I never thought I would say this, but I'm glad Teglia replaced them. This may be my favorite pizza in NJ. We did an order pickup and the pizza was ready when we got there. Staff are friendly! They focus on being a grab and go place. But they also a small counter along the walls of the place that you can eat if you want. We got the Caio e Pepe lasagna and the angry Nonna pie. The Caio e Pepe lasagna wasn't soggy, which was surprising considering how hard it is to get lasagna right. They gave it to us in an aluminum tin which was very convenient for heating it up. The angry Nonna was a Spicy pizza with Vodka sauce, mozzarella and provolone blend, Sausage, hot sopressata, Hot cherry and calabrian pepper relish, and fresh Basil. The pizza had a good crisp on the crust but is still pillowy soft. There's a ton of breading underneath the toppings which is how I like my pizza! read more

Easily in the top ten pizza I've had to date. I had a classic and a white slice. These slices are all exclusively square/Sicilian. The crust was thick, had incredible bite, but wasn't at all heavy in its volume. After exchanging a few words with the owner, who is incredibly affable, humble, and does what he does with pride and expertise, I found he uses a slow-rise technique for the dough. Flavor profile was incredible as well. Beautifully savory without any lingering taste, and all the ingredients went well together without one ingredient overpowering the other. There was no excessive oil or grease, and when you life a slice in your hand it feels so substantial you can't help but appreciate the weight of it. Crust was just buttery enough with just the perfect amount of chew. Ambiance is humble and cozy, and it adds to the charm of the family run eatery. I could go on. Try the classic, and the white slices and leave absolutely satisfied. Maybe stop by to chat with the owner, he's incredibly down to earth. He's also a pro chef so the guy knows what he's doing!! I came into this pizza bar with high hopes of having a good slice of pizza. Unfortunately, it wasnt quite the experience i was hoping for. First of all, the place is crammed up, with minor seating areas, only 4 on one bar. The slice is ready pretty fast, although not sure if its because of the oven or whatever, but the pizza has a strange taste on first bite. The slice wasnt overly bad but it also was not very good, i didnt finish it. The main kicker in which i thought was crazy, was i ended up paying 8 dollars for a slice and a can of soda! Thats a 6 dollar slice and it wasnt even good, and it was literally the size of a normal sicilian slice. Overall i didnt think this place was special and i certaintly will not be coming back. I can get 2 slices and a can for 5 dollars in my hometown. Bye! read more

We ordered from DoorDash and got the Marinara Pie, Arugula Salad with Strawberries, Meatballs, and Tiramisu. The pizza has a really nice crust, but we just weren't fans of the flavor. I honestly can't even pinpoint what the problem was. Just the combination of flavors was off putting. Maybe we just ordered the wrong one. The salad would have been great if it wasn't drowning in dressing. It was ruined by that, which was disappointing. The meatballs were fine. The almond flavored tiramisu was excellent, but the portion was so small for $15 that I felt ripped off. I assumed for that price that it was going to be a very generous serving.
