Came in with my girlfriend and we grabbed a chicken bacon ranch slice penne vodka slice and a regular cheese slice with a penne vodka pasta. Pizza crust had such a nice crispiness. The pasta was covered in so much sauce and it came with bread to dip. Food came out quickly and its nice and quiet in here. read more

Soo, I ordered a slice with mushrooms. I got a nice crispy crust with a minuscule amount of sauce, dry cheese and some thick brown dry mushrooms laying loosely on top. I took a bite... and dumped the mushrooms in the plate. They were not brown from cooking, they were f-ing old. I ate the rest of the slice because I was f-ing hungry. I still am hungry. I took the plate with rotten mushrooms back to the counter. "Hey guys, I have had the best slice of my life here! Look at this, what is this s--t?" They just looked sadly at me with knowing guilt. No offers of making it better? Just a sad "sorry". WTF? read more

Borino's is a small pizzeria right near Verona Park on Bloomfield Avenue. Today I had the chance to stop in for lunch and enjoyed a delicious slice. Wife brought this home tonight. Square pie, chicken tenders, buffalo chicken tenders, garlic twists and fries. I'm just upset we didn't know about this place sooner. Very mediocre pizza- very greasy with mushy crust. Nothing about the flavor is memorable. The cheese was rubbery and flavorless. There are so many places in the area that make much better pizza, so there's no reason to ever order from here. read more

When I first moved to Verona, Borino's was recommended to me as a great place to get a plain pie for a great price. The location is right near Verona Park, you can park on Bloomfield ave and run in. It's small and unassuming inside, with a counter and a few tables to eat, but nothing fancy. I've had their pies numerous times now and it's never disappointed. On Tuesdays, a large plain pie is only $10. Not only is it cheap, but it's great and always comes out piping hot and fresh. Highly recommend trying out this local spot! read more

We've ordered from here several times. One of the previous times we ordered, the delivery guy couldn't find our apartment and called me yelling out of frustration. He eventually showed up but had put the order of mozzarella sticks on top of the pizza box, crushing the pizza and causing the cheese and toppings to stick to the roof. I told him I wasn't accepting the pie like that and he said it was my fault because he couldn't find our place (???). I called the store and they offered to send a new order, but we declined. We decided to try ordering from here again and the delivery went much smoother (super quick and no issues of finding our place). I ordered the grilled eggplant sandwich on a whole wheat wrap, which per the menu comes with fresh mozzarella and arugula. I opened my wrap to find 1) breaded, not grilled, eggplant 2) no mozzarella and 3) lettuce, tomato and onion- no arugula in sight. Disappointing but I was hungry and didn't feel like calling and waiting for a new one so I ate it. Overall their food is just okay; not bad, but with so many (better) Italian options in the area that have far less hiccups in the ordering process, I would pass on ordering from here again. read more

I live in the area but haven't been to Borino's. I've seen some good reviews, so while driving by earlier, I decided to stop in for a hot sandwich to take out for my lunch. The moment I noticed that only a few of the employees were wearing masks and none were using gloves (including those preparing food), it killed my appetite immediately. I understand that masks and gloves are a pain, but other local restaurants are taking extraordinary measures to ensure the safest possible food prep environment, so when I see this sort of careless attitude towards the health of customers and employees, to me, it's unforgivable. Perhaps when COVID-19 is a thing of the past I will consider returning to actually try the food, but for the moment I won't be risking my health by eating anything from Borino's. Decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. read more

Was craving some good old Sicilian pizza today and one of my friends happen to mention this place while we were at the pool today. When my family got home to figure out dinner my husband was looking around on Yelp to see what other pizzerias are around that got good reviews that we've never been to and he just so mentioned this restaurant so we decided to order and boy were we not disappointed! The crust is very light and crunching the sauce is complete Perfection and not too much cheese makes a perfect balance for this yummy Sicilian pie! We will definitely be heading back there soon to try some more stuff! read more

Loved it! I love a good Sicilian pizza and Borino's did not disappoint. We got the grandma's pizza, Sicilian style and it was delicious. I don't know what else I can say. Being that it was Sicilian (thicker slices) 4 of us were able to eat and we had a slice or two left over. I can't wait to try other pizza from here because we defiantly will be back. I wish I got to take a picture to show how great the pie looked. read more

God I love this pizza! Light crunch on the perfect yeasty crust, thin full layer of cheese, and my very favorite part, the sauce! Tasty, and one of the rare pizza places that puts enough on the pizza!! This alone earned the 5th star. I only go there to pick up the slices, or pie, because I want to go sit in my car and make obscene noises while I eat the hot slice right from the oven! read more

Once again Borrino's doesn't surprise me. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and fried calamari with one slice. They forgot my slice. I called back and the apologised immediately. Not only did I get my slice delivered to my house in about five minutes. They actually came with two extra slices for the inconvenience. These guys are bangin the food out quickly with quality. Btw- the guy who gave the statement that this area it's hard to find good pizza must of been dropped on his head at birth. NY is NOT the only place to get good pizza! read more

I love this place. The guy who runs the show is a people person and he makes an excellent pie. Their sauce is amazing. I recommend the roni pie. Best Roni pie in the area in my opinion because the spicy pepperoni combined with the sweet tomato sauce and the crispy crust all works well together. Their siciliano pizza is really good as well and i like it with meatballs on top. Bam! Blackened chicken salad is everything I want in a salad and the price is right. Tuesday night special is even better if you like to get a deal. I order from here all the time. You won't be disappointed! read more

Love the Sicilian pie with a passion it the perfect amount of sauce and not too much cheese the flavor is a amazing. One thing I would WARN against before purchasing is the sautéed broccoli.. I just ordered this tonight and it tasted like someone added a burned up cigarette in the sauce or water... just horrible, no taste just wet burnt up broccoli. It's interesting because the broccoli was so fresh it's just whomever made it.... Burnt the hell out of it.I wouldn't ever try this ever again you couldn't pay me too. I put some my plate tried one piece and put it right back in the container and so did my boyfriend. What a waste of ($6). If someone can imagine the smell of smokey water or the smell of a cigarette in the rain (which is a nice comparison) imagine that smokey smell but 100x worse! Besides that being my only complaint every time I order the food has been hot and the delivery people are so friendly, which is reason enough for me to continue to order. Just beware of the horrendous sautéed broccoli if you get it delivered... Let this be your warning! New update: 8/21- if your ordering a single slice don't, I ordered one with my lunch, waiting over an hour for my food to be delivered and it was cold, when called they said it came fresh out the oven.. I will be ordering else where from now on because more than one place can make a bomb Sicilian pie! read more

The Sicilian pie would be amazing except they keep burning the bottom of it. We stopped going because who wants to pay $18 for a burnt pie. And of course, old habits die hard. So, we ordered again hoping for the best... but nope, burnt. And I don't mean, well done-crispy-flavorful. I mean black, charred. You can't taste anything but burn. Ordered a pizza from here via Grubhub for the first time. It was actually really good! The sauce had a great flavor and taste. A large 18 inch pizza for only $12.99. Can't beat that! We got it delivered and the delivery time was spot on from what the app told us. Just wish it was a little more warmer when we got it, but honestly I can't complain. It was so good! I give it 4 stars, my husband gives it 3.5. I did the online order feature which was nice & easy. I ordered a 18" pie, 1/2 mushroom & 1/2 sausage, onion & peppers. They kind of skimped out on the mushrooms though, It was as if he gave me a handful of mushrooms for 1/2 the pie. I would of preferred a handful of mushrooms per slice! The eggplant rollatini app was also yummy. I'm curious to try the cheesesteak due to the rave reviews. I'll keep you posted when I ever get around to that. :) read more

Story time!! This place is a whole joke of a restaurant. We met up with my family for my mothers…read morebirthday and decided to order from here. We spent $180 and the food was mediocre. But that wasn't the issue. The issue was with the $30 Ozempic portion of Shrimp Scampi we received. The first picture is what we received. So my brother and I returned to the restaurant and asked were they aware that they forgot some of the noodles. We asked for a manager and were basically blew off (pause). We asked for a refund and was told no. It was not worth arguing and we left the food and left the restaurant. I left a review on google and instead of addressing the issue they offended us. They had the nerve to say the food was spoiled and insinuated that we tampered with the food (2nd pic). Mind you returned to the store within 15 minutes of picking it up. So that means if it was spoiled your also serving spoiled food. And how would you know it was spoiled? You tasted it? This establishment is a joke and should be addressing that $30 ripoff instead of going on the offensive. You even go so far to say the portion of pasta in the Scampi is the same as the portion of the Chicken Parm. Mind you we ordered the chicken parm and i attached a pic for you guys to decide. I wasn't impressed by the food. I have had their pizza before which is good but I was not of fan of what we ordered this time.
