Meat lovers slice: thicker pan style like. Crust was lite and crunchy. Just enough sauce and toppings of pepperoni, bacon, sausage. Surprisingly not greasy as I expected it to be. Plain: just enough combo of sauce an cheese. Cooked well. Again no grease drippings at all= quality cheese. I like crust a bit thinner but overall not a bad slice of pizza. The guys behind the counter We're all very pleasant and friendly. I would visit again when in area.

Chicken Franceses pizza is my favorite! Tasted nothing like that because it's a pizza, but taste just like The pasta dish.

When you've been around greatness, you know it when you taste it…read more Tony D's Pizza in Caldwell is championship-level--no question. This is some of the best pizza in Essex County, period. From the crust to the sauce, everything is dialed in like a Super Bowl game plan. And trust me... they handled a "Giant" appetite with ease If you're in Jersey and you're serious about your pizza--this is the spot. #BigBlueApproved #EssexCountyEats

***3 1/2 stars***…read more Maybe it lost something in transit or I didn't get the right pie, but I wasn't blown away by this place. I've had Tony D's on my list for a while, knowing it had a solid reputation amongst the North Jersey Italians (and what better demo to have it from?). Yesterday was a perfect opportunity to order/grab some pizza and bring it over to my top-tier chum in nearby Montclair for lunch. I didn't do a ton of recon so maybe there was a more obvious/modern method to ordering, but from what I could tell, this place was pretty old school and I just picked up the phone and called over - honestly can't remember the last time I did that, but it brought a nice whiff of nostalgia for me after years of ordering on apps. Didn't realize that Tony D's is literally right around the corner from my BFF Cloverleaf, so the location is pretty convenient if you're in the area. The parking in Caldwell can be pretty annoying, and even though I'm sure I could have rolled the dice I paid a little less than a dollar to park up the street further into a residential neighborhood. Given that Tony D's is exclusively delivery/pickup joint, I think they should pay for the spots right in front as a courtesy to their customers coming in and out; maybe they do and I missed it but if not... Anyway. The guy behind the counter was VERY nice/friendly, and even though I was a few minutes early based on the estimated ETA off my phone call, the pizza literally had just come out of the oven and was ready to rock. From that vantage point, top-notch service. The specific pie that seemed to be their go-to was the Drunken Grandma, which is usually one of my favorites (vodka sauce on pizza should be much more prevalent in my opinion) but I wasn't crazy about the chunks of tomato on it. In hindsight, would have been easy to pick off or even to request that they not be included to begin with, so that would be my recommendation based on this experience. I opted for a square plain pie, especially since I knew that a few young pups would likely be sampling the wares; seemed like an overall safe bet. Optics-wise, I thought it looked very good, and I don't regret going square here. The crust for me was probably the best part, and I made sure to strategically grab all of the corner pieces once we started eating. Nice crisp to it for sure. The overall taste of the pie just wasn't my thing. I wasn't crazy about the sauce (maybe another argument for the vodka sauce, right?) and the cheese was just okay. Tasted to me more like generic by the slice pizza, which isn't my preference. My top-tier chum liked it more than I did, so definitely could just be an issue with palate preference here but this might have suffered from inflated expectations. I'd give them another shot if a similar circumstance presented itself, but I'd go with the pie it's known for - there's a reason the Drunken Grandma is front and center in almost every review. Learn from me.

Had dinner here a few weeks ago and WOW Montclair really is not giving up its title for best food…read morecity anytime soon. We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. It might even end up replacing our current go-to pizza spot...

The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.

But that wasn't the issue. The issue was with the $30 Ozempic portion of Shrimp Scampi we received. The first picture is what we received. So my brother and I returned to the restaurant and asked were they aware that they forgot some of the noodles. We asked for a manager and were basically blew off (pause). We asked for a refund and was told no. It was not worth arguing and we left the food and left the restaurant. I left a review on google and instead of addressing the issue they offended us. So that means if it was spoiled your also serving spoiled food. And how would you know it was spoiled? You tasted it? This establishment is a joke and should be addressing that $30 ripoff instead of going on the offensive. You even go so far to say the portion of pasta in the Scampi is the same as the portion of the Chicken Parm. Mind you we ordered the chicken parm and i attached a pic for you guys to decide.
