A unique dining experience- you order and pay at the counter- and food is brought out to you. Very friendly staff. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes, salads, zucchini chips with a tangy lemony ricotta dip, and panzerotti for dessert (basically a zeppole stuffed with Nutella and Banana- a little too heavy- would just order gelato next time) The space is lovely- high ceilings, beautiful tiles. There is a parking area to the right of the restaurant (pay for parking- but free parking on Sundays). There is plenty of outdoor seating in the front patio. (Not tables on a sidewalk- but an actual patio- very pretty) Food is very fresh and delicious. The menu also offers pizza and gelato and will definitely try that next time... This place has a really cool concept. They do fresh pasta and brick oven pizza where you order at the counter and then take a number and they bring you your food so it is a quick casual concept. The staff are really nice. They always make sure you have a full glass of water. For dinner, I got the pasta, pictured and pizza and my friend ordered the dessert for us with vanilla gelato. Everything was delicious. Also I think it's important to know that the food also heats up very well. Got this truffle carbonara it's amazing. It's a seasonal special. You can smell the truffle aroma instantly when it comes I love how crispy the bacon is I could eat 1 million of it overall would highly recommend it so creamy gooey without the truffle being so overwhelming the vibe is so cute inside it's a good date spot. We were in the area and were looking for a good casual place to eat and stumbled upon Boschetto. This super modern and clean Italian restaurant located on Grove street offers a counter service. When you enter you place your order, take a number and pick where you'd like to sit. They do offer high chairs and have a kids pasta menu (you just have to ask). We ordered the arugula salad, zucchini chips, calamari platter, a pasta and pizza to try. The arugula salad was great, it was zesty and fresh. The zucchini chips (zucchine frite) was my absolute favorite of the meal. The chips were so delicious and I hate zucchini. The sauce resembles a hummus but it was zesty and sour. The calamari platter had calamari, shrimp, and zucchini with a marinera sauce. I think it just needed to be a little saltier and it would have been perfect because the crispiness was there. The amatriciana pasta was also good, the server recommended it. It was a little spicy and very flavorful. We tried the summer special pizza, I forget the name but it has peach and prosciutto topped with arugula and hot honey. It was very refreshing, a bit of sweetness and spice. They make the bread in house and it was perfectly made. No complaints at all. There is a free parking lot right next to the restaurant. The bathroom is spotless too! I found a gem in Montclair! Boschetto is an Italian restaurant with a clean and contemporary interior, a large outdoor patio, and excellent service. The idea of Fine Fast Casual appealed to owners Ryan Held, 44, and Robert Spina, 46, when they opened Boschetto back in August of 2023. After placing your order at the front counter, you'll be given a number that you'll place on your table. In a few minutes, you'll be visited by their service staff with your order. The staff was exemplary, always smiling, and quickly accommodated every request we had. I ordered a "Mexican Coke" and it was VERY GOOD! It is sweetened with cane sugar instead of the high-fructose corn syrup. I even let a bee have a taste and he loved it. We started with the Arugula & Cheese Salad. This was large enough to share, the mixture of ingredients were perfect, and is highly recommended. We shared two Boschetto pies (tomato, mozzarella, and basil). This pie was EXCEPTIONAL. Comfort bowl of goodness. 3/5 Funghi pie, I took away stars more from a personal preference I actually prefer a white pie for this and it had a little sauce that didn't do it for me and micro greens that had amazing freshness but it overpowered it just a tad- again for me personally. Come for Sunday brunch. Asking for table for 6, waitress tells us to order in advance. Alright! we order close to $150 when we pay the POS ask for tipping without any serving. For the courtesy we give 20% & expected a good service in return. However the service was horrendous, they place us a table near entrance across the kitchen and multiple customers walked by, we request change of table & they are unwilling. We asked for wine glasses multiple times & service bear none. The saving grace, the food is decent but unable to tolerate a poor service. Now I understand why they ask people to pay tips in advance because they don't deserve any. We shouldn't pay any tip when people eat at food court. read more

It's a more casual place because they take your order and you pay ahead in the front before seating yourself in the back. The noodle dishes were really good and well seasoned! Tasted very authentic and fresh. I hadn't tasted pasta like that in a very long time. We were told that the pasta noodles were imported from Italy! The food was ready but unfortunately the pizza was cold by the time we got it home. The pizza was meh, nothing too special. We also tried the Gnocco Fritto ($9) which were large pieces of fried bread. Delicious but a small portion for the price. We also tried the meatballs ($16) and the vongole pasta ($21). I'm not entirely sure. Yet. I'll have to go back for seconds. Solid 4.5/5, the 0.5 off is for the price to portion ratio. 4.75/5 overall so rounding up to 5/5 because Yelp. I want to start off saying that the food was very good and the proprietor was very nice. But I think this place has a major disconnect with the way it operates. The food is excellent and quite upscale. But then the rest of the experience is pretty much like a fast food joint. We ordered appetizers, mains and a side and everything came out way too quickly and in completely random order. So within five minutes literally everything was on our table at once. It didn't feel like things were prepared properly or any care was given to the dining experience and it was difficult to enjoy their food. If I had known this, I probably wouldn't have ordered appetizers because they're not even treated as an appetizer. Now, if this were the kind of place like tapas or a small plates restaurant that would be fine but it's not. We came at an off time where we didn't have to wait, but I can only imagine at prime seating times, counter service would be very backed up with even more pressure to eat quickly and split. And from a diner's perspective, you are not really saving anything with their process - you still tip and the prices are still expensive. I might return for a takeout order because that's the vibe here. But I would never return again for a sit down meal unless they thoroughly changed their system. I wish they would have a system where you sit at a table and order off a QR code, and they brought food out properly. Probably good for people on their lunch hour or people with small kids, but for anyone who wants to enjoy and savor a dining experience, it's a pretty much a fail in that in that regard. And that's a shame because the food is good and should be savored. But the way they have this place organized, it is not set up for diners to do that. read more

It was so overdone with chili, it was inedible. And I like some heat in my food. Same on rigatoni bolognese- way over sauced. Salad of arugula was drenched in dressing- again, borderline edible. The cooks need to dial back on the saucing and seasoning. Less is more. Aim for subtlety and balance.
