Cheese pizza well done
Kimberly G.

Enjoyed my cheese pizza! My husband and I ordered a regular cheese pizza well done and it hit the spot! The service was fast and friendly. The pizza itself was thin with a thicker crust. Overall a solid pizza option!

I was pleasantly surprised getting pizza here. It's pretty nondescript--it's a trailer in a parking lot, after all--but it was quite good. I got the white pizza and it was ready in about 5-10 minutes. The reason for four and not five stars is that Montclair has a plethora of pizza shops (I've been to ~10 within walking distance of this one) and this will not become my go-to place. It's very good, but not my favorite.

12" 12" Personal Margherita Pizza

I've been going little pizza heaven for about a year now, they have the best pizza I've ever had! I love the margarita pizza, and it's consistently good anytime I've had it. It's a floppier thin pizza with a soft chewy crust on the end. The cookies are also good, they're very gooey and melty. This place is a little pizza trailer so it's take out or delivery only. I do wish they had some sides like bread sticks but the pizza is so good it doesn't matter. I have also run into them being closed on days were I expected them to be open so it's good to check their website ahead of time to see if they're open that day before planning on having pizza that night.

12" margarita pie with extra cheese and pepperoni

This food truck is a great gem in Montclair. It's amazing how a non-brick and mortar establishment makes better pizza than most Montclair Pizzerias. I ordered two margarita 12" personal pies. One with onions, peppers, & mushrooms. The second pie was extra cheese and pepperoni. While the pies were great I did notice one small problem. The basil leaves were not cleaned properly sort of like any other greens not cleaned properly which gives you grit during your eating experience. Because it's the weekend and my second time here I'm going to attribute this oversight to the mass production. Either way there is no excuse for this to EVER occur. Having said that, the pies are really good here and this one bad experience should not prevent you from trying them out. I'm sure when the owner(s) reads this review he/she/him/her/they/them will address the cleaning issue for all vegetables. As a result of this experience I cannot give them five 's.

This pizza is straight up really good!! The pie crust is light and airy and the quality of the sauce and cheese was A1. The price was well worth it. This is better than some other places I've ordered from. Also, the chocolate chip cookies got torn up in the car. They were perfectly sweet, soft and gooey.

Great pizza. Best NY style slice in the area. Underrated. And for a 16in pie, the price is fantastic.

Had dinner here a few weeks ago and WOW Montclair really is not giving up its title for best food…read morecity anytime soon. We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. It might even end up replacing our current go-to pizza spot...

The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.

But it was still excellent overall. The Sausage with Broccoli Rabe pie was absolute perfection. No sauce, same great crust and a balanced blend of mozzarella and provolone. The Chef/Owner was patient, welcoming, and very passionate about his craft. He walked us through the pies, highlighting plenty of vegetarian options. I chose the mushroom and caramelized onion, and after chatting about his family's cooking history from Sicily and five‑day dough fermentation process, he generously offered a vegan slice on the house. The Roman‑style crust reminded me of focaccia, soft on top yet crisp around the edges, sturdy enough to hold the toppings. The roasted vegetables were fresh, the squash creamy and rustic, and the marinara sauce was hearty, a truly memorable experience. This place is highly rated for a reason, it's authentic and the perfect slice. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Northern Jersey. I'm rooting for this place and can't wait to return!

New Jersey is known for many things, but pizza is perhaps the largest source of debate. There is no…read moreshortage of pizza, as they have anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 pizza restaurants using their family recipe to make some of the best pizzas in America. As the third-largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza. This 10,000-square-foot, two-story establishment with a neon-lit sign on Glenwood Ave in Bloomfield asks, "Just another pizzeria?" They also house a 20-seat speakeasy that's open Thursday through Saturday called the Rab.bit Hole that can be found upstairs behind a hidden entrance. Opened in 2020, Blue Steel Pizza Company is the answer and should become obvious after looking at the menu. A reservation was easily made via Resy. My partner and I were greeted at the host station and got a regular table in the 1st-floor dining room by the pizza oven in the middle. The vibe was modern and industrial. Patrons had to use their phone flashlights to read the menu as the lighting was pretty dim. They are known for their Detroit-style pizza--a pie baked in a rectangular, traditionally blue-steel pan, the kind once used by autoworkers. It's made with a blend of mozzarella cheese and traditional Wisconsin brick cheese that melts down the side of the pie, making for a burnt, gooey, cheesy crust. It's cold-fermented for three days and is closer to sourdough. It has real flavor and an airier texture. It's like a lighter version of a Sicilian with a buttery crust. As a starter, we decided on the Chopped Salad. For our main entrée, we opted for the Jersey Tomato Pizza Pie. Portions run big enough for sharing, and we downed them with the 1911 Cider. The pizza crust was light, airy, and crispy with the right amount of fresh ingredients, making the ensemble tastefully delicious. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and our server was Adam. The price was comparable to the area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place.

We spotted Blue Steel which had good, modern curb appeal to our hungry tummies. It looks like downtown Bloomfield is having a moment with some new condos and nicer restaurants coming in. Thanks, gentrification!? Inside has a clubby, bar vibe and we were seated at a hightop near the bar. I love a good wedge salad. I prefer the classic but I appreciate BSP's variation that has tomato, cucumbers, crispy frizzled onions, feta cheese, homemade ranch dressing, and everything sprinkle seasoning. It was generously sized and refreshing. And there's nothing but good things to say about the Detroit-style ezzo pepperoni pie, except that i wish I had a bigger stomach to eat MORE. After the salad (shared), I was only able to manage one slice, but it was a happy slice. My first time trying Detroit-style and it didn't disappoint. PS: There's a tiny, very lumpy and bumpy parking lot in the back that is very tricky to maneuver back out of. If it hadn't been for an Uber driver who got briefly trapped back in there with me, I might still be there today

After ordering, you seat yourself at one of the tables inside or luck out with lovely early autumn weather on the patio. They have plenty of specials to choose from and a healthy selection of pizzas, platters, shared plates, and pastas. My only complaint was the awkward waiting to order and be sat at a table if you're waiting for 2/6 folks in your party but there are plenty of open tables both inside and out. Would definitely come again for a quick bite with a bottle on the patio while the weather is nice.

I know it sort of changed management to a lovely guy whose name I don't remember who when he first took over came out with samples of delicious specialty pizza and warmly greeted everyone. I placed an order for delivery two days ago. The pizza was good as usual but the lentil soup was really salty, no exaggeration enough to overpower any taste of lentils - I added two cups of water and threw in some ditalini, added garlic, and it was still salty. I'm not sure why that would happen but here's a full proof way to make good lentil soup: per pound of dry lentils, first sautee a chopped medium onion, chopped large stalk of celery and a large or two medium size carrots, two cloves of chopped garlic in some olive oil, then add the lentils, and around 3-4 inches of water above the line of lentils and allow to simmer, don't add salt until it's closer to the lentils being cooked. People with high blood pressure or pregnant cannot handle the amount of salt that was added. It was worse than canned soup. I have ordered it before, last time was around 4 years ago and it was fine. Of course, it may just be an error or a new person making the soup. I have thought that since the change in management, maybe a seasoned Italian woman cook in the kitchen might be a good addition to at least train the staff. I get the impression that the staff are more pizza makers than cooks. I ordered an artichoke not long ago that tasted good but was not fully cooked, my friend ordered lasagne that was covered in mozzarella and was probably over microwaved or however it is heated, and was like paste. This isn't intended to be rude but to point out that for the most part I like your food but feel like certain things can use more care.
