We checked this spot out for an early dinner on a weekend night. They do seem to do takeout more than eat in but have plenty of tables indoor and out. This place has options from different crusts to vegan to toppings galore. As someone who has gone through dairy free and vegan phases, I appreciate the options! We tried the mozz tots ($10) which were basically mini mozzarella sticks and just as delicious as they sound. We tried the American pie which was a thin crust and was light and crisp - pretty good pie. I really like puglia which we got on focaccia bread which made it a hearty pie. Plain but done well. we popped over for a quick meal a few days ago to grab some pizza. overall this place was a huge disappointment. the meatballs were rock hard and tough to chew. the pizza was okay but not worth the price. maybe we will come back to try the foccacia style crust, but with so many better options in this area it wouldnt be my first or second choice. the outdoor seating is nice for small ( 4 ppl or less) groups and i would consider this place kid friendly. read more

I came here to get takeout with my friend who is gluten free and lactose intolerant. We ordered the gluten free 4 cheese vegan pizza and added pepperoni on top. The host was very friendly and gave us extra utensils . The place is very laid back and cute there are some tables to eat outside as well . Pizza is DECENT but $27 for a single pie with just pepperoni, that is insane!!! This is not Lucali or something extraordinary.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the food at Tino's. The pizza lacked real flavor and frankly, cheese. Our gnocchi and chicken bites tasted as if they were previously frozen and reheated in an air-fryer. The only reason for the second star is because our waiter was very attentive. Decided to finally stop in with my husband to give this restaurant a try. Ordered the truffle gnocchi bites, salad, and pepperoni pizza. Staff was friendly and immediately greeted us when we walked it. The truffle gnocchi bites were pretty good. I ordered the beet salad and asked for dressing on the side. It definitely came on it. When I told the food runner he insisted it was on the side and gave me more. I then took a few more bites and told our server and she said " oh I heard". So I basically just picked the chicken out. I have ordered from Tino's many times and I really love that they use quality ingredients. I have a Dysautonomia condition so if I go out to eat and someone is using less than quality ingredients it will send my heart rate speeding- unfortunately this means I usually can't have pizza and most Italian food (unless I am in Italy). Every item I have ever ordered from Tino's it has not only been delicious, it has been made with zero junk! I always opt for the sourdough crust since that is best for me, but I have had their regular crust with no issue. My son and I walked in after enjoying such a beautiful fresh pizza aroma as we walked past . We were greeted by Rafael who was extremely helpful as he walked us through the menu. Overpriced mediocre pizza. Just completely average and disappointing when you spend $16 for a super small pie & read the marketing you'd expect a little more, but the product does not back it up. The amount of basil was shameful, look at the pic it's tiny shreds couldn't even get a leaf on that pie haha. Lacking flavor didn't hit the spot only hit the wallet. We tried really hard to like Tino's. Kept checking the site to see if they were finally open. But after trying it a few times, moving on to less expensive options with better pies. Maybe the slices are good? But ordering for a family of five is just a wallet killer without any justification. There's little value here. I ordered the margherita to check out the basics, then added artichoke hearts--and also anchovies since I'm the only one left on the planet who likes them. What came in the box was a gorgeous pie, layered with plenty of toppings, as opposed to the skimpy add-ons in so many other places. Tomato and cheese really flavorful. Since becoming Elite I've tried to keep my reviews positive, so let me begin by saying, what I attempted to eat last night was positively dreadful. I also feel that I have an above average vocabulary. That said, I was unaware that artisanal also meant void of taste. I moved to Montclair a little over a year ago and have unfortunately had some pretty lousy pizza, but last night took the cake, or shall I say the pie. I had the misfortune of ordering not one, but two tasteless, meaningless excuses for pizza. I had to refer to my bill to even remember what I ordered since they were both forgettable in their own ways. A mushroom sausage pizza was covered in mushrooms and crumbled bits of what I can only assume was sausage. The cheese was spotty, the sauce almost non-existent and the thin crust made me long for matzo. The second pizza was a poor excuse for Cacio e Pepe, and the only taste it delivered was off-putting and not peppery whatsoever. Nothing in these two pizzas was even salvageable, so I opted to eat a delicious ice cream sandwich I had procured at Van Hook earlier in the week. I will be heading back there today for one of their spectacular grilled cheese sandwiches, since the cheese that I thought I was going to consume on the pizza was clearly M.I.A. Lest I forget, my non-meal began with a meaningless Caesar Salad that was Et Tu Brutal. Stale croutons and bitter dressing over shards of limp Romaine lettuce. The upside was that I saved numerous calories. The downside was that I spent just south of $50 for this not so hot mess. Thank the pizza Gods, I managed to secure a reservation at Bivio next Friday, for what is far and away the best pizza this side of Florence, and one of the only pizzas well worth eating in a town starving for good pies. Sorry Tino's and all those who gave this artisan pizza 5 stars, but this tasteless blob of I'm not sure what left me speechless. read more
