I love the food here. They know how to make Italian food right. They know how to make a good eggplant parmesan.

I've been eating at Angelo's for probably over 30 years. They have the best chicken franchise and the best Cavatelli broccoli I've ever had. My brother used to order like three or four times a week from them. The food is so good. Their cold anti pasta is really good and there's stuff mushrooms are really good too. Their Italian food is good; but their pricing is off. I can order the same exact damn thing every time - some spaghetti dish -- but I get 3 different prices each time. I have lived in Bloomfield for about 20 years used to be a regular customer. Something has changed there with quality and attitude. One of the guys at the counter referred to a customer as a "nitwit"..A little overconfidence on the two at the counter. Discipline and respect for the customer should be the order of the day. Not name calling. So many great pizza spots ( at least 4) in and Italian restaurants in the Bloomfield area. Angelo's actually hit my credit card for $3100 for an food order that I put a cancel on and was never delivered. Avoid this place like a toxic fungus. read more

Awful Lasagna.. I've traveled the world and eaten lasagna everywhere. I never had lasagna without meat unless i was asked. Nothing on the menu states a cheese lasagna. It's no different than baked ziti. It was horrible and disappointing. Horrible service. They did not have provolone cheese for the sandwich. Instead of calling to substitute, they sent the order with no cheese, i called and the cook said ge will give me extra cheese next time. Not caring at all bout the lousy service. My cheeseburger looked like a penis on a roll. It was just a oblong, rolled up meatball. Lousy food and customer service. The mans attitude was horrific. No indoor seating but great for take out. Bloomfield is home to MANY amazing pizza places, and I'd put this high up on the list of one of the best. I work nearby and my colleagues and I like to show our support to the local community by trying different restaurants for lunch. We kicked off the week with ordering from Angelos...we were all extremely disappointed. Getting a hold of this restaurant to order was frustrating within itself, they kept answering the call and hanging up. When I finally called from my cell phone instead of my office line, I got ahold of somebody. I informed the gentleman of the technical issues trying to call in and he admitted that he was hanging up on purpose! He stated that because my called ID said Dover, NJ that he assumed I was trying to place an order with another Angelos. Wrong... After picking up our order, we were left with disappoint and confusion....what you see photographed is a "cheeseburger" accompanied by overcooked fries. We also ordered a chicken cesar salad wrap that consisted of 90% wilted lettuce and and cheesesteak that was dry,flavorless, and let's not forget to add that it was filled with burnt fries as well. Driving or walking by, you wouldn't think much of it . So much so that I have driven past it on numerous occasions. But when I finally got the time to stop and go inside, I was more than glad I did. Very fast paced, the staff seem very close knit and like a unit. This is New Jersey and if your local pizzeria and it's staff don't have that family sort of feel to it, it's probably not gonna be good. They were funny yet very focused and on Super Bowl Sunday they were turning out orders like it was just another day. I watched them make numerous pies and etc and it truly was like a tv show. Great environment and I think they embody New Jersey Pizza here in Bloomfield. On top of all of that, everything that I ordered was delicious and that', along with the speed at which they made all of this food, is why I now love this place. Efficient and Delicious. It's a hit or miss with this place now. Also, the store feels dirtier last 2 visits. I will be avoiding this place now. I have had great white pie from this place but last few visits the quality has been off or order has been totally wrong. WORST DELIVERY EXPERIENCE! I order from them often and usually have no issues, except with a certain delivery guy that works there. When he arrived, he had absolutely NO change on him. For a $75 order all i really had was a $100 bill on me and I originally asked for $15 back so he can have a $10 tip. Unfortunately, since he didn't even bring change I couldn't tip him. He apologized afterwards and left. 5 minutes later I get a text from the driver that reads "SMH" and then "No tip". At this point I'm furious because i always tip them. As a driver, you should always have change on you so its pretty understandable why I wasn't able to tip him. I complained to the owner to never have him deliver to us again but honestly I don't feel comfortable anymore even ordering from them. read more

The past 2 times they have messed up our orders somehow. The first time it was the salads: we ordered a Caesar salad and a steak salad. The Caesar salad didn't come as a Caesar salad, it was a house salad and the steak salad was disappointing. The steak was still warm but had been sitting on the salad so the lettuce wasn't crunchy. The 2nd time is where I knew I wouldn't order from here again which was mostly the customer service. There must have been a new girl taking the order and she seemed confused on how to do a half pizza. We wanted half pepperoni and half sausage. She had to put us on hold twice which is fine, no fault in learning but then the manager came on because I asked for the total. He was snappy and said that they were too busy to give a total. I've ordered from places that have said that but take my number to call back with the total once things die down. If his tone would have been different, that would have sat okay with me but not the snappiness; why give you my money then? read more

Ugh I hate having to do this to a small family business. From the bottom of my heart I hope someone in the biz reads and does something about it. Because when it comes to pizza I'm easy to please. I read all the bad reviews before we ordered but I honestly thought harsh were just being prima-donnas. But the pizza was horrible. The crust was so thick and over cooked on outside and rubbery on inside. Sauce tastes like hunts tomato sauce with no seasoning. And there was so much grease all over it. I'll bet you there were 5 ounces of grease on top of that pie. I got a pie with 8 slices and only 2 were eaten. My gf got the white. It was better. Same crust problem. But at least it didn't have that grease. They could put a lot less chicken on it. You don't need two bites of cutlet in every bite of pizza. I hope they can change. read more
