But the awesome Fish Delish offers a slight conundrum as the fish-and-chips is a great choice but they're also crafting some other offerings that can't be found anywhere else. The salmon dog is great for the palate and for the 'gram. Even as someone who controversially extends the boundaries of what counts as hand food, I had to use a fork for this epic sandwich. I've been wanting to try Fish Delish, and yesterday was the day! The casual restaurant is bright and inviting. I was very warmly greeted upon arrival. I tried the Clam Chowder, the Shrimp XL Truffle Sandwich, and Coleslaw. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. The Chowder was tasty, and really hit the spot on a cold and dreary day. I would say that it needs more briny clam flavor. Still a solid soup. The star was my sandwich. Five plump, perfectly cooked shrimp are on a soft bun along with cucumber, arugula, grana padano cheese, and truffle sauce. This sandwich was divine! Truffle that you can actually taste, really elevated the flavor. This sandwich makes me want to try all of them. The coleslaw- which was a huge portion- was a perfect crispy, creamy side. What a gem! Not a glamorous storefront restaurant, but, probably one of the best seafood establishments we've eaten at. The food was delicious, fresh as could be, and first rate in quality of produce! We had the tuna and salmon, both exceeded our expectations. Service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, like visiting family. Vesna, the owner, guided us perfectly and engaged in pleasant conversation. Had a very nice lunch at 12:30 on a Monday. Very quiet and easy to catch up with a friend and talk. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. We were in the mood for shrimp so we ordered a Shrimp Delish Sandwich and a Shrimp Dog and split them. One had grilled shrimp and onion rings and one had fried shrimp and coleslaw. They were both absolutely delicious...the kind of delicious that you think about for hours afterwards. They were super fresh. They give you 3 sauces on the side so you can try them out. I had the Crispy Delish w/ sweet potato fries Fried cod, brioche hot dog bun, cole slaw, melted cheddar, pickled red onions, and fun sauce. They also brought us over three homemade dipping sauces (all mayo based)...Fun Sauce, Wasabi Sauce, and the Delish Sauce. Wanted to love it, but can't fully get behind it. I went with the cod fish and chips, which costs almost $21 by itself after tax. The tiny, stringy fries had almost no starchy, potato-y interior and were definitely salty. The cod filets are tiny - you might find larger ones at a school cafeteria - and you only get two (it's $6 for an extra one). The classic crunchy battered breading was correctly executed, but the cod inside was practically flavorless. The cole slaw was briny and crunchy, making it a good palate cleanser. She was a gracious hostess and offered us selections on the menu to try for when we come back. The cod delish was great. I think it can do with two pieces of cod or a different bun that's not soft/brioche. The fried shrimp and chips were so fresh! Whatever you do, order the shrimp roll!! The shrimp is well seasoned. It comes with a bed of aioli and arugula. The fish and chips were fried to perfection. The seafood hero which is grilled red snapper on a Cuban hero was delicious. The skin is on the fish for those that are picky. Perfect bread for the fish and tasty! All the sauces are wonderful! My Wife works very close to your establishment. I cook all the dinners we have at home because I get home earlier than my wife by 3 hours or more. ( Not to mention she has cooked all our meals 33 years prior to my work schedule change).
