During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees are patient, kind, and helpful with navigating Vegan options of the menu. After stopping in one night, checking the menu, I decide I'll like to try eating at the establishment. So, being near more recently, I visit the eatery. I order a custom burger via a kiosk. I select the Beyond meat as the Vegan protein option and select all, if not, nearly all, of the free Vegan additions. I like the Banana Peppers offering a piquing sharp pickle salty flavor. I find there is no need for ketchup with the tomatoes though the sweeter flavor (in comparison to the less sweet firmer-juicier tomato) bodes well with the juicy Beyond burger (which drips a decent amount from in the air above the foil-like wrapping). The moist lettuce bun makes the meal feel lighter, juicier, and crispier, to me. The establishment offers a variety of indoor seating. The establishment takes different forms of payment though check with an employee prior to ordering (writing so because the kiosk I use actually does not accept all/more than one form[s] of payment). There are televisions which, during my visit, due to the programming on the channels, seem to add family friendly sports bar vibes. read more

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by some of the kindest workers out there. There was also a beautiful mini Christmas tree.. I ordered the $12 special for a burger, drink, and fries. It came out pretty dang quick, and they loaded me up with fries too. The burger was FANTASTIC, and not too greasy. The bun was soft, cooked to perfection, it reminds me of a classic summer BBQ burger but better. Its worth mentioning that the fries were awesome too, I truly enjoyed this meal. Good stuff BGR team!!! read more

Great burgers. Simplicity at it's best. Nothing fancy justa solid burger place located in Bloomfield NJ

the food has a fresh taste/flavorful and the portions are good ! The staff is always helpful and attentive. Excellent vibe ! So far, I've tried the turkey burger and the chicken and they both didn't disappoint. Onion rings are top-notch. read more

Loving this place good burgers and it's too good love the burger and shakes I love to get the West barbecue

We had an amazing experience at BGR Burgers today, the owner was kind enough to kind us a cookie and drink complimentary to our meal. This is also a black owned business, family owned which is amazing. Come get u a good burger and support a local business! Ambiance is great too:) read more

We love this place!! They are always willing to make their customers happy. Thank you Darlene for putting a smile on my son's face

It was okay, I guess. I like that they offered the impossible burger. It didn't taste bad, but not great. There's a whole lot of toppings you can put on it which is fun. Tater Tots were good!! Fries were okay. Service was pleasant but not the most attentive. Overall, it's just another fast food burger place, but I guess I was expecting more. If you view it like that, and are fine with paying a little more than you normally would for a possibly better environment, then you may like this place. I'm glad I tried it, but I doubt i'd pay to go back. Plus side!! If you get the app..you get a free burger! Can't complain about a free burger. read more

I had a good experience when coming to BGR! I live the next town over from Bloomfield and always in the area and when I saw that a new restaurant was opening I knew I had to try. I went around 2:30 to stop for a bite to eat and it was pretty empty. My order was taken immediately which is a plus. I ordered the Bacon Burger and was able to add additional toppings and condiments. I dined in and the cook actually brought out my food which I thought was nice. The burger was very tasty and satisfying. I would come back again and try other options! The place is clean and has a good amount of options to eat. A good place to bring friends and family. Cannot wait to make my next visit for BGR. Satisfied with the service and food! Thank you! read more

I value good service and they delivered here. Every one of the staff here including the manager were real nice and appear to be trying to start of with a strong impression as they've recently opened. My burger was as requested and my Oreo Milkshake was made "with love" and tasted great. The menu and food is the same as South Orange BGR, but enjoyed the Korean burger I ordered here. This BGR is a bit smaller than the South Orange location which I've checked-in a few times but this one's lay out is better. South Orange has counter and table seating but this location has both as well as booth seating which is always welcomed. If the service and organization here can remain as it is now, when the school is in session and the semester begins, then I can see this BGR meaning and doing serious business. read more

Seems like this place took a long time to open after I saw it was coming, but the time has finally come. I've never heard of BGR before, but it's similar to Smashburger, that you get a higher quality burger than fast food, but you order at the counter and sit in or take out. It's also a little more than a fast food burger but a fair price for a better burger. The girl at the cashier was friendly and asked if I needed help. I just got a turkey burger, and it was very juicy and filling. It didn't take long for it to be prepared. There's street/metered parking around so not a lot of great parking options, but I'm glad to see a new eatery in the area that's good for lunch or for a quick meal available in this area. read more

The SERVICE is worth every dollar you will spend here. The burger was cooked perfectly and fries were delicious. Already planning to go back. read more

Love this place. 1) Their burger was excellent, get the Triple D (egg, burger patty, bacon). You can get extra burger patty for 3 bucks. I will recommend doubling it. But, the burger patty is pretty big. 2) Their fries were excellent. 3) The tables have different condiments, so that is convenient. 4) Lots of people here complaining about the workers, but these people are not being paid 6 figure salaries, so chill. 5) My issue was the parking, finding parking around here is a pain. You need to go by the residential area. Be careful with the permit parking areas and there is limited meter parking. read more

I'm trying to watch my weight these days so I don't go here as much as I used to maybe five years ago but the burgers are excellent and I get them with the tater tots. I usually order the burger medium and it is very flavorful and juicy. Some times, I use this as a post-workout meal and I devour it. A good quality burger is actually an excellent post-workout meal because you get plenty of carbs and protein at the same time. read more

This is my favorite BGR location. I had the pleasure of being served by Darlene the last time I was there and I could not have had a better experience. read more

The burger was fine - absolutely no complaints- but the woman at the counter gave out unfriendly vibes.

I tried BGR for the first time recently and, while I echo the general sentiment that the burgers are tasty, I'd also say they're on the smaller side. Someone else likened them to jumbo sliders and I'd second that opinion. I was impressed when I saw the prices on the menu, but I realized it isn't a steal as the burgers aren't as big as one might hope. Still, good food. We ordered the Triple D burger ($9.99) and the southwestern burger ($8.99) and I would probably come back to give it another try. Also, the employee gave us a complimentary basket of fries, so shout out to him. The fries were cooked PERFECTLY and were as crisp as you'd hope. read more

Darlene J was super easy and got me in and out of the store. Great customer service. Shake was great too.

Really enjoyed the BGR! It was made how I wanted and prompt also very delicious. I definitely will do it again! Keep up the good work!! Highly recommend!! read more

Smelled really nice and clean when I came in, but it was greeted nicely at the door by the guy watching the windows, and we've been a few seconds the manager lady greeted me from the back. It would be a great idea however if she would keep her conversations right at the table rather than speaking loudly from the grill to the patrons. The voice interferes of my own conversations. Still she's a wonderful lady. Fries were undercooked, the burger was fine but a little over seasoned even though I asked for very light seasoning. read more

Finally have a GREAT guy at the register. Tired of having people that didn't speak up, and gave bad vibes. However, my sausage on my Oktoberfest burger was still pink and I didn't notice right away!!! It wasn't as fun as the first time I had one. Just a sprinkle of sourkraut, not much mustard, but not horrible by any means. This was at the Bloomfield location. Something refreshing is that the SAME manager is still there!s read more

I LOVE a good quality, juicy burger and BGR did NOT disappoint! The burger was delicious. The fries were perfection too! If I could give them a zero I would. the food was decent but the service was abusive. I walk in to pick up my food the restaurant is empty and the cashier at the counter is just standing there ringing up things in the cash register. I say hello she says nothings. I stand at the counter waiting for 2 mins. then she finally stops what she's doing and looks at me and motions, for me to speak. with her hands. still she has yet to speak. I tell her my name and I am picking up. she then slowly grabs the bag slowly hands it over and tells me to confirm the order. I was confused so I said I should open and it and double check it? she said no confirm on the app, she sees my confusion then ask are you door dash? I say no. and she says o this is for you? i say yes. after that she hands the bag over and I say all of this attitude is bot necessary. She has the nerve to say what attitude. So I tell her she was rude the whole transaction. She then tells me to take my Gay ass out of the restaurant And that she owns the restaurant. I look at her shocked and she then proceeds to call me a gay bitch and a sissy fag. I told her she was a miserable bitch and I will be reporting her. I will never go there again and i don't think you should either. read more

I will start off by saying I'm not a burger person lol I've been here twice and both times left very pleased. Burger is of great portion, fries are delicious, service is fast and courteous. First time I came I'm guessing the manager (female) asked me how was my food as I was walking out. I thought that was nice. Both times they've brought my food to the table (don't know if that's the norm, though). Bottom line, will totally come back and would totally recommend. Didn't take a pic of food because I dove right into it. They don't prompt for tip as you're paying (which I appreciate since everyone and their mom is asking for a tip now) but Now I make sure to have cash for their tip jar since I think they deserve it. read more

A smidge of Smashburger here, a dash of Shake Shake there. A sprinkling of Five Guys here, a touch of Zinburger there. The verdict: not as good as Shake Shake but way better than Zinburger. It's not cheap but the burger was mighty delectable and with all the fixings it was a challenge my big mouth was more than up for to eat. (If I had to find a fault: they need to adhere to a rule over at Bobby's Burger Palace and make sure that cheese is properly melted on the patty.) Fries - not wimpy and limp like Five Guys but big and with bite. One of my kids dug their chicken fingers. The restaurant is clean. There was a constant line of customers and I need to give a tip of my hat to the main guy on the grill - he must've knocked out 200 burgers while we were there and he didn't miss a step the entire time. Cool friendly staff. Parking was meh. read more

Seems like it would've been good eats, but I had to get a refund and leave before we got our food because of the staff being ready to fight me. Too many people working and not enough customers so one of the women felt the need to reprimand my children before they had done anything. She was loud and rude. They were admiring the little tired Christmas tree they had on display. The woman says "don't touch it". When they hadn't made a move towards it. I let it go, because I'm not here for confrontation. Life is enough. So she walks away from them. I tell them to move away from it. They do. She looks back and yells at my children "don't step on that". I guess she was talking about the tree skirt. Shrug. No one had stepped on anything. I was sitting right next to my kids who are six and nine years old. Because our rule is to not be further than arms length away from me in any store. I extend my arms, they come to me. So I told her not to yell at my kids. And then she and another girl behind the counter swelled up and instead of apologizing, had to restrain themselves from coming after me. The girl behind the counter informed me that the woman who yelled at my kids was HER mother. And I let her know she was her mother. Not my kids mother and that if someone has a problem with my children they should speak to me, not yell at my kids (who hadn't done anything). I mean the girl had to be ushered back so as not to attack me I suppose. Crazy. People should take responsibility for their actions and look within. So I informed them I wouldn't be eating anything from a place with such negative and aggressive energy. If your first response to a customer saying something you don't like, is to physically attack, then you shouldn't work in customer service. You should work in a cave...alone. Ignorance. I'm not here for it. read more

Darlene made me the best burger I think I've ever had in my life. It was deliciously amazing! She was also very sweet and nice. She asked me how I wanted it cooked, and I told her medium well and she made it perfect, cooked just enough where it was still juicy and tasty, but not too pink or too burnt, it is very seldom that I get meat actually cooked medium well, but she is an amazing chef to have made it just perfect for me. I was flown out to Newark from Los Angeles for work, and having been to almost every single burger spot in Los Angeles, I can say that this place is hands down better than any burger I've ever had in LA. Also Darlene was an amazingly sweet person who made me the best burger that I still think about now, I wish I can come back out to Newark just to have another burger. read more

Just know it's either mid or a total miss. Consistency is a thing here. Everytime I go it's usually something wrong with my food. Manager makes it up with a cookie or maybe a extra tender but like I just want good food. Place is clean can't speak on customer service cause when I first started going I was greeted and spoken to, now it's what's the name for the order that's it. But no sweat I mean it's not a big deal. I usually order the same thing chicken tenders and fries luckily my tenders haven't had no membranes on them lately, so that's a plus. Overall if you order online call to make sure they got the order cause you will wait wait a while for your food. But prices are not worth it, you can get way better quality food for a better price. read more

Quality of the burgers are great! (Certified Angus Beef) However, burgers and fries lack in taste. (Need more seasoning) I've tried several times and the customer service never seems to improve.
