During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees are patient, kind, and helpful with navigating Vegan options of the menu. After stopping in one night, checking the menu, I decide I'll like to try eating at the establishment. So, being near more recently, I visit the eatery. I order a custom burger via a kiosk. I select the Beyond meat as the Vegan protein option and select all, if not, nearly all, of the free Vegan additions. I like the Banana Peppers offering a piquing sharp pickle salty flavor. I find there is no need for ketchup with the tomatoes though the sweeter flavor (in comparison to the less sweet firmer-juicier tomato) bodes well with the juicy Beyond burger (which drips a decent amount from in the air above the foil-like wrapping). The moist lettuce bun makes the meal feel lighter, juicier, and crispier, to me. The establishment offers a variety of indoor seating. The establishment takes different forms of payment though check with an employee prior to ordering (writing so because the kiosk I use actually does not accept all/more than one form[s] of payment). There are televisions which, during my visit, due to the programming on the channels, seem to add family friendly sports bar vibes. read more

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by some of the kindest workers out there. There was also a beautiful mini Christmas tree.. I ordered the $12 special for a burger, drink, and fries. It came out pretty dang quick, and they loaded me up with fries too. The burger was FANTASTIC, and not too greasy. The bun was soft, cooked to perfection, it reminds me of a classic summer BBQ burger but better. Its worth mentioning that the fries were awesome too, I truly enjoyed this meal. It was okay, I guess. I like that they offered the impossible burger. It didn't taste bad, but not great. There's a whole lot of toppings you can put on it which is fun. Tater Tots were good!! Fries were okay. Service was pleasant but not the most attentive. Overall, it's just another fast food burger place, but I guess I was expecting more. If you view it like that, and are fine with paying a little more than you normally would for a possibly better environment, then you may like this place. I had a good experience when coming to BGR! I live the next town over from Bloomfield and always in the area and when I saw that a new restaurant was opening I knew I had to try. I went around 2:30 to stop for a bite to eat and it was pretty empty. My order was taken immediately which is a plus. I ordered the Bacon Burger and was able to add additional toppings and condiments. I dined in and the cook actually brought out my food which I thought was nice. It would be a great idea however if she would keep her conversations right at the table rather than speaking loudly from the grill to the patrons. The voice interferes of my own conversations. I usually order the burger medium and it is very flavorful and juicy. Some times, I use this as a post-workout meal and I devour it. This BGR is a bit smaller than the South Orange location which I've checked-in a few times but this one's lay out is better. South Orange has counter and table seating but this location has both as well as booth seating which is always welcomed. If the service and organization here can remain as it is now, when the school is in session and the semester begins, then I can see this BGR meaning and doing serious business. read more

Seems like this place took a long time to open after I saw it was coming, but the time has finally come. I've never heard of BGR before, but it's similar to Smashburger, that you get a higher quality burger than fast food, but you order at the counter and sit in or take out. It's also a little more than a fast food burger but a fair price for a better burger. The girl at the cashier was friendly and asked if I needed help. I just got a turkey burger, and it was very juicy and filling. It didn't take long for it to be prepared. There's street/metered parking around so not a lot of great parking options, but I'm glad to see a new eatery in the area that's good for lunch or for a quick meal available in this area. read more

Love this place. 1) Their burger was excellent, get the Triple D (egg, burger patty, bacon). You can get extra burger patty for 3 bucks. I will recommend doubling it. But, the burger patty is pretty big. 2) Their fries were excellent. 3) The tables have different condiments, so that is convenient. 4) Lots of people here complaining about the workers, but these people are not being paid 6 figure salaries, so chill. 5) My issue was the parking, finding parking around here is a pain. Someone else likened them to jumbo sliders and I'd second that opinion. I was impressed when I saw the prices on the menu, but I realized it isn't a steal as the burgers aren't as big as one might hope. Still, good food. We ordered the Triple D burger ($9.99) and the southwestern burger ($8.99) and I would probably come back to give it another try. She asked me how I wanted it cooked, and I told her medium well and she made it perfect, cooked just enough where it was still juicy and tasty, but not too pink or too burnt, it is very seldom that I get meat actually cooked medium well, but she is an amazing chef to have made it just perfect for me. I was flown out to Newark from Los Angeles for work, and having been to almost every single burger spot in Los Angeles, I can say that this place is hands down better than any burger I've ever had in LA. Too many people working and not enough customers so one of the women felt the need to reprimand my children before they had done anything. She was loud and rude. The girl behind the counter informed me that the woman who yelled at my kids was HER mother. And I let her know she was her mother. Not my kids mother and that if someone has a problem with my children they should speak to me, not yell at my kids (who hadn't done anything). I mean the girl had to be ushered back so as not to attack me I suppose. Crazy. People should take responsibility for their actions and look within. So I informed them I wouldn't be eating anything from a place with such negative and aggressive energy.
