When they first opened up, I didn't think they tasted spectacular- but that could just be due to the overwhelming amount of people that were bombarding this place lol now that it's settled down a bit, I've tried 3 different burgers and their tuna burger and they are all delicious. I usually go to the one in South Orange but I stopped by this one because we were in Bloomfield already. The place is very clean and spacious. It was on a week day so it wasn't crowded and we got our food fresh and right away. I normally get burgers at this spot but I thought I would try a chicken sandwich today. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich , at first the girl said they only have grilled chicken sandwich which i was confused because just before you walk in the restaurant it had a board and it say "special" fried chicken sandwich -_- . But then we got it settled. I have to say the chicken sandwich wasn't at all , at but messy while i was eating it but overall i liked it. the cook was very nice and asked if i wanted anything else on my sandwich. I stopped here for lunch today (Tuesday, March 15, 2022) with my husband. I am not going to complain about the food, especially because i love their garlic fries. However, my complaint is towards the woman working there. We went in the young man at the register took the order, there were 2 other people waiting for their order. They received their order and left. We received our order and sat down to eat. As we are eating, this woman (worker) comes out of nowhere spraying an air freshener/disinfectant all over the place and over our food. We are two professionals having lunch and wore our masks into the establishment, and i see no reason why she should have done this, there was no one there and no one else was cleaning. The spray went into our food and I have asthma which made me have to leave the place because of the smell. read more

Just ordered from this place for delivery and not only was the delivery QUICK (20 minutes) but the burgers were amazing. I had a bacon cheeseburger with avocado and bacon marmalade, and my S/O had the bacon cheese pretzel burger. Side of garlic fries and tater tots, and we were DAMN pleased. The garlic fries had actual munched garlic in it, and quite possibly one of the best thing ever. The burgers were not messy at all and held together quite well. We just about devoured those burgers in 10 minutes, which was probably fueled by our post hike hunger. I'm glad we found a good local burger joint, especially one that delivers. Overall the food is great, fresh, good flavor and solid options; Restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. The only reason I give them 3 stars is due to the unfortunate terrible customer service and employees with an inability to be respectful. I understand people can be on edge especially during these times but it shouldn't result in a nasty attitude towards a customer. I walked in as I'm putting my mask on, I greet the employees and am immediately greeted with a "sir, put on your mask!" and a head shake followed by an eye roll. Everyone in this restaurant that works there has an attitude. The heavy set light skinned lady sucks her teeth every time someone walks in the store. She huffs and puffs the whole time as if she's annoyed you came in the store. It's really uncomfortable, makes me feel I need to hurry and place my order so I won't annoy her more. The food is good but the fries are inconsistent. Sometimes there cooked well and when their rushing the fries are under cooked. And when you ask for ketchup they give you a container with enough ketchup for a French fry. read more

I would give this 0 stars if I can. We tried to order through seamless and grub hub. Seamless showed that the restaurant is closed. It was 8:30 pm and the restaurant closes at 11 on Saturday nights. We used grub hub because it showed the restaurant was open, after we submitted the order it showed the order would be delivered the next day and the restaurant is closed. We call the restaurant and ask them to prepare the order for today, and they say we have to call grub hub. We hang up and call grub hub who then calls the restaurant and they aren't able to process our order so they refunded us. Lastly we decide to go to the restaurant. We drive by and thought it's closed because they have all the chairs upside down on the tables in the dining area, lights are dimmed. Then noticed a small sign says "open". We walk in to place our order and the one person in the front area didn't help us and was listening to music on his headphones. Someone came out from the back and helped us with our order. If we had to guess they probably shut down the delivery order because they're too lazy to work. Beyond disappointed and did not feel one bit of any kind of customer service. Came here for lunch with the hubster and our aunt and I'm not disappointed at all with the food. I had a beautiful turkey burger, onion rings, and an Oreo milkshake. Let me start with the turkey burger. It was grilled to absolute perfection and perfectly seasoned. The onion rings were amazing and just the right portion leaving me satisfied without feeling disgusting. The milkshake was your average cookies and cream ice cream with milk, nothing to write home about. I enjoyed every. single. bite of my food. The only two hiccups that occurred were that one of the employees was slightly rude but the manager and chef more than compensated for this. The restaurant was clean, the service fast, friendly and efficient, and the price point is great. There's also an ample variety of toppings: Some free--lettuce, tomato, onion, mushrooms and more... Some paid--Bacon, cheese, egg, avocado and more... Also, props to the correct burger to bun ratio. I feel like the food would be good if it didn't arrive cold and soggy. I placed an order for delivery at 5:53, got a call that the delivery driver "fell on her bike and the order is being replaced", and now just got it at 7:22 just for them to have forgotten my fries. The burgers are flat, greasy, soggy, and cold along with the fries. The only thing they didn't mess up was the coke that I ordered and that's only because it's pre made and there's no way they can mess it up. I called to ask what happened to the fries and the guy that picked up just said that they forgot to pack it and asked if I wanted to send back the order with the delivery driver. $25 for 2 cold burgers and missing fries is ridiculous! I came here once before and the lady working behind the register yelled at me for leaving a mess with the napkins even though I never even took any... the rest of the reviews on here further show the staff and customer service isn't the best. I ordered delivery from here, the fries were lukewarm when they arrived. The chilli dog was a little salty but the dog itself was good and good quality. What really gets the rating though is the burger, I guess it tells you that in the name. I got the western bbq burger, bbq was good bacon and onion rings in there too. Been here twice. Ordered the sliders both times as described on the menu (cheese, pickle, onion and sauce). The first time I got two dry sliders with cheese. They had just opened, so no big deal. Every new place has kinks to work out. Ordered again the other day, SPECIFIED the sliders with everything the menu says they come with and a side of grilled asparagus. AGAIN, 2 dry burgers with only cheese. The asparagus was marinated in something weird, ate two spears but to me the taste was really unpleasant so I didn't eat any more. The place was clean the cashier taking the order was very pleasant.I ordered the Bison burger with onion rings burger so fresh i loved the bun and the chipotle avocado dressing on it. This was my first visit to a BGR (with the new branding and menu.) It was 11:45am after running a race at Branch Brook Park in Newark. I ordered the Triple D burger, garlic fries and Cherry Blossom shake from the cranky employee. I enjoyed my meal while watching two televisions and listening to Stone Temple Pilots. The burger was small and quickly devoured. The fries were alright. The shake with chopped up cherries and with full cherries on the bottom was awesome. It's a shame that $20.01 gets you so little though. Ten dollars for a jumbo slider is not in my budget nor in many people's budgets from Bloomfield College across the street. read more
