Writing this review as i finish my meal. I had the pretzel bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries. The burger was as expected. Nothing to write home to mom about but overall quality food. I enjoyed the garlic fries but next time ease up on the amount of actual garlic you put on the fries! The order took about 15 minutes to prepare and i was the only customer inside that didn't have food already (appeared to be cooking food for online orders) which was a bit longer than i expected to wait. Friendly staff that was helpful- when I'm in the mood for a burger I'll be back to try more from the menu. Worth a try if your local- however if you get garlic fries make sure to say light on the garlic! 5 stars because while some things weren't perfect it was just what i expected for this style of restaurant. read more

Went here Sunday afternoon. Place was not busy. People were friendly, welcoming. Ordered burgers and fries that arrived quickly, with a smile. Sat outside. Food was tasty and fresh. It's nice to have a good burger place on Broad St in Bloomfield. Hope more people find out about this place and help it succeed. read more

Ordering take out from BGR is like a box of chocolates!! Ya never know what you're gonna get!! But I'll betcha it's not what you ordered..... 3 strikes----- you're out!!!!! read more

The service was not very good, I had to repeat myself 3 times and the order was still placed incorrectly. There were 6 customers total in the restaurant yet it took about 30min for our food. Once food was received we were missing an order of fries. Not too happy with the place and I'm not sure I would go again. read more

Enjoyed my Turkey burger from the BGR Joint! Nice and thick burger with sweet potato fries. I will definitely be back to try more.

I am not big on eating burgers out. Because they're so big and i can never finish one. But my son loves them so we decided to give here a try. I've gone there twice so far. Had the Korean bbq burger, so yummy and just my size. I ate it all including the fries which were really good too read more

Terrible waited for at least 15,20 minutes and the burgers were cold there's no way it took them that long to serve me a cold burger .

Keep in mind I don't eat beef. However, their turkey burgers are delicious. They're always fresh, always juicy, and their toppings are also fresh... ALL of the time. I wasn't too fond of the fries... but let me tell you about the onion rings.. Lightly crispy batter with just enough crunch, and plum onions on the inside. read more

The BGR in Bloomfield lives up to its name. Been going there foe a while at least twice a week and every single time has been on point! The food is cooked perfectly every time. But what really keeps me coming back is the people. The service there is is impeccable. They always accommodate. I am always greeted cheerfully and it really makes my day. Thank you to the whole team at BGR Bloomfield! read more

Very rude and disrespectful will never eat here again. I've never been treated so poorly at a restaurant in my life and I was very respectful the entire time. Staff was rude including the manager who I believe was the older heavyset woman she was very nasty they need to learn how to be professional if I could give them zero stars I would read more

Great spot in between a sit down and fast food. Perfect for a busy family. I like that you have the option of fries, tater tots, or side salad. read more

I would never again! Placed a very simple take out order yesterday which they managed to botch. This was my first time ordering from there so not off to a good start. I call & tell them what happened. They said they would remake my burgers & I asked for them to redo the fries since I want hot fries with my burger & my current ones would have been cold. They agreed. I get there & they only remade the burger but told me it would be another 5 minutes for fries because they didn't have any cooked. Meanwhile the person I spoke to on the phone said they would include new fries. I spent $23 for a bad burger and awful customer service. At least if the burger was good it would have been worth the hassle but it wasn't. The lettuce on my burger was wet. They were overcooked. And the cheese they claim is American, is most definitely not. I could recommend 5 better burger joints in the area than this one. Total disappointment. read more

Okay I will admit the first time I went they were new and it was during a car show. They were having a special so the wait was long. I have been back since during the week and once in the weekend and I have not experienced the same long wait. before I start my review on the food I'd like to mention the french fries and tater tots come in one size and it's pretty big so I would split with the person you're with to save money. Since we're talking about fries the garlic fries are ridiculously yummy. I also really like the tater tots. This place works well for my husband and I because I am on Weight Watchers and they have a lot of options outside of hamburgers. You could also get your meat on a gluten-free bun or lettuce. In addition to their burgers they offer teriyaki chicken, salmon burger, turkey burger and ahi tuna. The burgers were just as tasty as anything you would get at Smashburger and the price was about the same. However this establishment is much nicer inside . They also have outside seating and it's very clean. The manager came over to see how we liked our food and gave us a coupon to come back. Ask about the specials because they're not always advertised. read more

Ordered a medium cheeseburger with LT and diced onions; Patty cane well done, onions were coarsely chopped, fries were tepid, under-seasoned, and a bit sparse. read more

The service is consistently slow and indifferent, even for just a shake. We just called to order and they didn't pick up. Last straw honestly. Food is not worth the long wait and general rudeness. read more

Burgers are Brett big and filling, I have been here a few times and was a fan. Would highly recommend

If you're looking for a great burger spot for a great price then look no further. I ordered a Western BBQ burger when I went there and asked for it to be Medium and guess what? IT WAS MEDIUM which is something that a lot of other burger spots seem to miss on (shake shack for example). Great wings too, and they had thick cut French fries!! I'll definitely be returning because not only was the food great but the service matched the quality of the food they were serving! Very nice staff that treat you with such hospitality! read more

Delicious burgers and great milkshakes in the heart of South Orange. The kids will love the cartoons that are playing in the restaurant while you wait for your meal. We are definitely going back! read more

Horrible! Looks pretty good from outside but was big disappointment. ALL tables and most of the chairs were dirty and needed to be washed/wiped down. Ordered the Ahi Tuna on gluten free bun and garlic fries and couldn't finish it,, it was almost $16. Bun was cold (as if it came out of the fridge). Asked for it to be toasted and then it completely fell apart and still cold on inside of it was still frozen. The garlic oil on the fries was okay but the fries didn't taste like potatoes and were also cold. Definitely don't recommend and would not go back. read more

I order all the time. Great food and very good portions. B grade on consistency but I usually get my money's worth. I like the place. Easy to order 4 or 5 burgers every time. Lots of good choices. Decent sides. read more

Just left...Took 15-20min. A girl who wasn't working walked behind the counter while I was there just seemed unsanitary. Burger was good but sloppy and i had cold mushrooms. I had about 16 total tater tots and they tasted like the freezer. read more

D the cook is the best and the customer service she display is out of this world. Kisha the manager has the best customer service experience as well. The both of them make sure your food is right down to what you ordered. The place is very clean and a first the rest room is actually clean as well. read more

All the workers have nasty attitudes! No one is welcoming at all makes you not wanna spend your money. No clue who is i charged of the organization but they should be aware of the staff they hire. The staff will look at you with a blank stare, and won't acknowledge you at all. It's sad to say because the food is decent here. But because of the poor customer service and unprofessional staff. You don't want to spend your money here. If you don't want to work they should find a new job and be happy. Ever is solemn and unprofessional here. With that being said I will no longer support the establishment. I have read several reviews with the same concerns about professionalism of staff members. Hopefully someone can address these matters and have BGR a more welcoming place! read more

We passed BGR on our way to Anthony's Cheesecake and wanted to give it a try. You can never have enough good burger joints right? We checked and the menu was similar to Zinburger (that we love )((lots of yummy toppings)) and they offered gluten free buns so we were good to go. Unlike Zinburger that has waitress service, at BGR you order at the counter (the food is brought to your table) and there are self serve fountain drinks. The burgers are generous, a third of a pound of beef that was cooked rare like I ordered. My toppings were good although I asked for extra blue cheese and my portion was kind of skimpy. However the Bacon Marmalade spread was Smokey sweet and delicious and brought the burger to a whole different level. Yummy! We asked the young lady at the register if she recommended garlic or sweet potatoe fries. We went with garlic on her recommendation. They were kind of soggy and drowning in minced garlic. Not bad if you really love garlic but I think next time we will go with the sweet potato fries or maybe tater tots. Along with the burgers they have Nathan's Hot Dogs (a favorite of hubby's) and he said it was good and tasted like a real Nathan's. BGR is on the small side with a TV and the day we were there the a/c wasn't working too well (77 degrees inside, too warm) and could have been a little tidier. But we did get a good burger and the kids working there couldn't have been nicer so we will give it another try read more

Awesome burgers - so so so good! Especially love the turkey burger and my husband likes the veggie burger but the kids love straight up burgers. Everyone is happy here. Fries crispy and delicious and the shakes are amazing. And the staff is super sweet. Our new favorite favorite burger place!!! read more

Tahaj, Keisha, and Darlene provided exceptional service during my stop in this afternoon. I work down the street and occasionally like to go out for lunch. I love the portion size because I don't ever feel grossly full afterward, and I will definitively come back to this location because it was fast friendly and CLEAN (even the bathrooms!). read more

Food's okay, but the service just ... isn't. We've been in once, and waited 20 minutes (on top of an already long time for our burgers) for two orders of fries. Finally had to go to the counter and remind the servers that we were still waiting - once we got back to the table, we realized that one member of our party had actually ordered tater tots. We had to move on, having essentially finished eating by then. We ordered for delivery last night; again, no tater tots (and no substitution, either). The delivery guy was nice enough, but couldn't seem to find our house - which is on a one-block-long dead-end street. We might try BGR a third time, but not for a long while - at best their staff needs better training, at worst the restaurant doesn't know how to train them. read more

so I ordered sliders and what I ended up getting was hockey puck meatballs in between cute little buns no flavor and super burnt not to mention the tater tots are expensive and nothing fancy my experience was dudutastic read more

Food quality is inconsistent. Stay away from the salmon special...very dry. Make sure you ask for the Turkey Burgers medium, or they will be dry. If you ask for it the way you want, the food is tasty. read more

When I first walked in to BGR I was excited because this was my first time going and it had been recommended by my friends. When I ordered my food the cashier was extremely rude, each time I even talk to him he would roll his eyes and make Snorkie remarks. I was pissed off but decided to ignore his rude attitude, he might have just been having a bad day. When I sat down waited for my food it took them so long just to prepare it. Forgot to mention but I was also with my friend and they ordered a Oreo milkshake, the cook in the back asked who ordered the milkshakes so that she could make them and serve them. My friend asked me if I could go up with her even though I didn't order one, I went up with her and she asked if we all ordered one she pointed at me. I said no but my friend did, she yells at me "why are you up here then!?" Then I replied saying because my friend asked me too then she said "Then sit down!" I sat pissed off and continued to wait for my food, like 30 minutes later I was wondering where our food was and there was a bag on the food counter (it was not in the worker area) I didn't touch it but I tried to see if it was ours and if it had our name, the cashier comes up to me and says that's not yours, so I was about to sit down when the cook in the back says " what are you waiting for?" I tell her I wanted to check if the food was ours she yells at me " it's not even your food it's the other girls!!" I yell back " no it's not I ordered something too!" It was none of her business involving herself into something that did not include her the way she acted was unnecessary saying that I did nothing to her. After that it took them 10 more minutes just to give us our food and the food wasn't even that good. The experience here was extremely bad DONT go to BGR on board street!! read more

This place is big and always pretty empty, so no one cares if my toddler acts up. And he likes the fries. But the attitude from the kitchen staff is bad--they're not really concerned with allergies at all and get angry when they have to make changes (like not putting butter on rolls) to accommodate. I avoid the place because it's generally an unpleasant experience. It's a shame. read more

The service was OUTSTANDING! The burger was very good but the onion rings were horrible greasy and not fully cooked

It was good tasting food unfortunately my med rare burger was extra raw not very pleasant to eat... the bottom bun just look like it went swimming in a pool.. when u chose to have a delivery system with burgers you should really think about putting topping on side so I dont get a burger that looked like I dropped it in a pool read more

I've been to this location in the past and had a very good (and delicious) experience. This time - I ordered via Door Dash for lunch with some coworkers. Right away I was disappointed, for starters I was missing an entire order of cheese fries which I was looking forward to as I enjoyed their fries when I first had them. I requested for both burgers that were ordered to be cooked well done - they were not..I saw pink right away. I called the location and spoke to a women who I'm assuming is their manager and she was extremely nice and apologetic. Seeing as they don't actually deliver - the only thing she was able to do was add me to some sort of list that they have for a few complimentary dishes for the inconvenience/mistake. I would've preferred a refund since I have no clue when I will return seeing as I only eat things like this every now and then. I was semi-satisfied with the resolution until my co-worked informed of her "chili cheese dog". There was close to NO chili on the alleged CCD and minimal cheese. It was hands down something my 10 year old nephew could've made by himself. I'm not sure if it was just an off day or busier time for them, but for 1hr delivery wait time and $48 - I could've gotten a meal elsewhere that I would actually enjoy. Not sure if and when I'll be returning,I rather drive to Shake Shack in Wayne or order Smashburger since I know it'll always be fresh, correct and tasty. read more

I just ordered 2 box dinners on Seamless. They came without soda. When I called to see if we could get a credit Leon the manager first said they weren't on Seamless and argued with me. Then he told me they had an issue with drivers were stealing the sodas. He didn't offer to fix it. Don't order from here unless you want to feed the drivers. read more

Great food, customer service was great and the place is clean always. Staff was very polite and fast serving.

What the heck!!! This place run out of food on a Sunday morning! This place did not have 3/4 of our food choices, and after paying for our second choice, paid for it, waiter then told us they don't have that food either! To make matters worse, they substituted not only a less priced item & also not as described on their menu board! URGGG!!! read more
