Came here with a couple of my dogs and my mom, while my mom got us a table outside with the dogs, I went in to order, it's a very clean and open space inside, it has an open layout so you can see into the kitchen as well. The employees who helped me were super friendly and were understanding about my gluten restrictions since I have celiacs, My mom and I got the gluten free mush-a-roni, I will say the gluten free version was a little expensive for the size it was but hey what can you do when you're gluten free, aside from the personal pizza size, the consistency of the dough was amazing, you couldn't even tell it's gf, and the toppings I'm sure would be good on any type of dough gluten free or not, the flavors all combined were definitely a hit. Tried this place out yesterday and oh my goodness, I think I've found my new favorite pizza joint. Everything from the customer service over the phone to the interaction in the restaurant and can't forget about the FOOD, was stellar! They were busy, but it never got too loud to where we couldn't hear each other talking. I just moved to Windsor about 4 months ago and seen this place so many times and never had a chance to come in. I thought it would just be like any other pizza places that taste the same. A couple of my friends told me that I needed to try this place because it's so good. So I decided to order a takeout and omg the portion is huge and it's so good!! We ordered a 16 inch half and half with Roo's and Lola. I like Lola a lot more than Roo's. I didn't know potatoes on pizza would be so good! Roo's is so good too and I am a big fan of mushroom and they gave a lot of mushrooms! This place actually gives you a lot of toppings! Unlike those pizza chains that barely give you anything. The price is high but I totally understand why. I rather spend more money at this place than other pizza chains anyways! The service was great and they finished the pizza super fast. It's funny how my reviews tend to disappear from only this restaurant. It doesn't seem to happen at any other restaurant on yelp. I have to agree with what a few other people have already said. The pizza is overpriced and overrated. I also agree with what was said about the staff, especially one of the females tends to be rude for no apparent reason, especially to men apparently. There are better options in the area. Kin has excellent pizza and they're just on the other side of the town green, five minute walk. Try the Mac daddy. read more

The worst service ever. I always prefer picking up a pizza rather than ordering a delivery in a cold winter weather to get it fresh and hot. Came to the restaurant to order for pickup. The restaurant was almost empty and i was waiting 35 min to get my pizza and salad. Apparently it was ready after 15 min but NO one bothered to tell me. Not only that, instead of apologizing, one of the guys there acted rudely like he called my name a few times which was not the case (it was empty and quiet, I set near the cashier). We'd heard about this small pizza place in Windsor from a friend, and when researching it, saw that owner/chef Leah had won multiple pizza awards and was on the U.S. Pizza Team (who knew?). We had to try it while visiting the area. We went with a group of 5 including my elderly mother at 6:30pm on a Tuesday and sat outside as it was only about 70 degrees and partially shaded. You order inside and they bring it out, and there was chef Leah cooking in the back (a good sign). They forewarned us that the wait for pizza was 45 minutes, but starters would come out faster. So we ordered two Ceasar salads, Frank's meatballs (comes with four so two of us split), the garlic knots and a bottle of Kokkomo Chardonnay. First up were the meatballs, which were tender and served with a red sauce, and very delicious. Salad was very good and came out quickly, a nice tangy dressing, shaved Parmesan, hint of anchovy and homemade crutons. They forgot the knots until the end but they were warm and doughy and served with a ranch dressing and marinara. First pizza was the Boomin' Granny pan pie with red sauce, mozzarella, sausage, mushroom & pecorino. This was almost a focaccia style but with a delicious crispy crust, croissant like. Next up delivered by Leah herself was the award winning Old Grey Beard thin crust, with red sauce, mozzarella, fontina, Italian sausage, Calabrian peppers, hot honey & orange zest. They warned us it was spicy but was a bit too hot for some in our party. Great with the ranch dressing. The inside area had a fun vibe playing 80's music, friendly staff, lots of seating, TV playing the Giants. Outside was a parking lot view of Oliver's and Starbuck's but we love patio seating coming from SF. I enjoyed this pizza over Tony's in SF, the crust was lighter and crunchier. Yesterday we ate at Pizzaleah. I ordered the vegetarian Roo. It was delicious. I love their pizza crust. Had a Ceasar salad the Parmesan shavings are so Good! We were there before the rush and enjoyed the music, even sang along with a couple tunes. My husband tried a new beer on tap and really liked it with his pepperoni pizza. I think the beer was called Parliament. I tried the Blood Orange San Pellegrino sparkling water, it's really tasty. The service was excellent and the woman was very personable, makes you want to go back even more. The friendly staff seem happy and enjoying their jobs, always a good sign of being well trained and under good management. Windsor is lucky to have such a good pizza in town. read more

The unappetizingly named Old Grey Beard pizza was really tasty with perfectly baked crust and great texture. The Scurto pizza was tasty but a bit overloaded, leading to a sogginess in the middle - to the detriment of the structural integrity of each droopy slice. I had Pizzaleah on my to try list for a while, and it did not disappoint. I love pizza and I'd rank this as one of the best I've had. If I lived in Healdsburg this would absolutely become my go to pizza place. The chewiness of the dough was exactly to my liking. Sometimes a pizza gets left in the oven a little too long and burns a bit but the char level in this was perfect. And one of the things J found most impressive of all was how even the tip of a slice of pizza was sturdy enough for me to pick up the slice immediately with my hands without having to knife and fork the beginning bites from a too soggy center. It was everything I look for in a pizza. You can do half and half if you order a large pizza so we pivoted from planning to order a medium to the large in order to try two types. It was really difficult to decide since everything sounded so good. Went with Roo's (olive oil, fontina, mozzarella, mushroom medley, fresh thyme, roasted fennel, shaved Parmesan & fresh Italian parsley) and Old Grey Beard (red sauce, mozzarella, fontina, Italian sausage, Calabrian peppers, hot honey & orange zest). Both were delicious. OGB was described as spicy but it was spicier than we anticipated so I'm a bit glad we only got half a pizza of that but even though my nose started running, I didn't want to stop eating the pizza haha. I would definitely return to try some of the other pizzas if I'm in the Healdsburg area. They have a well liked and limited option of a deep dish Detroit style pizza with ultra fermented sourdough - hubs got this and conquered this is as good as it sounds! They run out, so if available, purchase ASAP! Happily selected a fun pizza option with several toppings and a normal cheese (my go to). I highly recommend PizzaLeah. Tucked away in the same shopping center as the Windsor Oliver's. It an easy destination with plenty of parking. Menu is simple and to the point. I had the Old Grey Beard pizza on the thin crust and my son had the Mush-a-Roni pizza on the square pan crust. Both were great. Staff was welcoming and it was a fun atmosphere. Pizzaleah has been on my list to try for a while. I've seen it recommended in the SF Chronicle multiple times. Finally, I'm in the area so it was on the top of my list. I didn't see the pan pies available to pre-order online so I called ahead. Apparently (and later saw in another review), you need to call because they count down how many they have left for the day as they are ordered. They only make so many. I called around 4PM and was able to pre-order one to pick up later that day. Arrived on a Saturday evening around 7PM and it was about 1/2 capacity between outside and inside. Tables are first come first serve. Our group also I ordered 2 16" round pies, altogether fed 5 people. * Old Grey Beard, round pie: sausage isn't my top choice but enjoyed the spiciness particularly from the Calabrian chilies, fontina which I don't usually see on pizza, and pleasant bits of orange zest. The crust was thin, crispy, foldable; solid slice. * Mush-a-roni, pan pie: a comment I saw said a cross between grandma and Sicilian which I'd agree with. Not medium thickness, light, crunchy crust. There was a nice crispness to the top from the brick oven it was fired in. Personally I like mine with some more chew and wanted some more salt but it was pretty good * The Standard, round pie: I didn't try this myself but someone in our group seemed to really enjoy it Nice and attentive staff, solid pizza. read more

Been wanting to come here for a while. We finally made it!! For a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy. Being a chilly Sonoma County fall evening, the many outdoor tables were not an option. After we ordered, we found two seats (staring at the wall/corner and then played musical chairs until we found a better location. This is our first time here. The order takers were very friendly. I ordered the garlic knots and a 16" pizza with cream sauce, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and roasted garlic. The garlic knots came first and they were beautiful and more importantly, super delicious. They came with ranch, which was OK and marinara sauce that was so fresh and delicious I found myself eating it alone on the fork! The pizza came after a fairly short wait and we were blown away. There were so many large cloves of roasted garlic!!! I did request it to be cooked lightly as suggested on the menu as their norm is to cook the pizzas on the darker side. It was cooked to perfection!! They offer delicious sodas as well, 55 Miles craft soda. We all got root beer and it did not disappoint!
