My wife and I ordered from Sal's Pizzeria for the first time today and we had a pretty solid meal. We picked up a large BBQ Chicken Luau pizza -- BBQ sauce, mozzarella, chicken, jalapeño, bacon, pineapple, red onion ($32), an order of their pesto twists ($12) with a side of marinara, an arugula salad -- arugula, Bosc pear, Parmesan, lemon shallot dressing ($13), and an order of four small cannolis ($8). After phoning in our order, we were told the wait would be roughly 25 minutes -- pretty fast in my opinion, considering we were ordering around peak dinner hour at 6:00 p.m. I really appreciate how generous they are with the pizza toppings here. There was not a single slice without multiple pieces of each unique topping. The crust here is thin, crispy, and holds up well to the abundance of BBQ sauce on the pizza. If you like spicy, you'll definitely enjoy this pizza flavor -- the jalapeño are hot! Moving on to the side dishes, I thought the pesto twists sounded really good, but they fell a bit short in terms of texture: the twists were not as fluffy as I thought and some thought they were a bit too salty. The arugula salad had a solid variety of ingredients. I liked the saltiness the shaved Parmesan provided and sweetness provided by the pears. Definitely a salad I'd get again. Definitely consider getting two salads if you have more than a few people in your group you're sharing with. Last but not least, I enjoyed the outside shell of the cannoli, but multiple people in my group pointed out that the filling had some grittiness to it. As somebody who's only had cannolis a handful of times in their life, I don't feel the most qualified to offer commentary on the cannoli here except that I liked that it wasn't over the top sweet. Overall, I would happily pick up a pizza from Sal's Pizzeria again. However, instead of ordering so many sides, I would probably pick up a second pizza, since their pizza flavors are all so interesting.

I decided to give Sal a second try. So many people rave about it being the best in Cotati I thought maybe my first experience was the one off. Upon entering it's a nice friendly atmosphere. The selection of pizzas is wonderful and the desserts I definitely would come back for. I got a vegetarian pizza with ricotta and spinach. It looked amazing. I just find the crust really dry and bland. The toppings were fine. I was hoping my second visit would convince me that what people are saying it's true. That being said everyone has different taste and I prefer a better crust.

Absolutely delicious pizza and homemade ranch and really awesome customer service. So glad we stopped by this place. They deserve the high ratings.

Ordered four large pizzas online for a get-together and everything was great! The staff was super friendly when I went to pick them up, and the place smelled amazing inside--like, you instantly get hungry walking in. It was also really clean and well-kept. I asked for some ranch on the side and was told it's normally $1 a cup, but they threw them in for free since it was a big order, such a nice gesture. (Would be awesome if there was an option to add sauces when ordering online!) The pizzas were seriously delicious. We got the Truffle Hog, Margherita di Bufala, Meat Lovers, and BBQ Chicken Luau. Every single one was a hit, nothing left but crumbs. Definitely coming back!

Another perfect pie from Sal's!! Anthony suggested the limited release Old Caz beer to wash it down with! We appreciate Anthony, Matt & Roman! Still my favorite place to grab a beer or a pie. My favorite is the hot pepperoni with cupped pepperoni, just the right amount of hot honey & kick from Calabrian chilies & lots of fresh basil.

Meat lovers pizza. Yum!

Great find! Tasty pizza. Pizza was HOT! Be aware. Hazy beer hit the spot. We will add this place to our dinner options.

Stopped in for pizza by the slice and it was honestly some of the best pizza I've ever had it was so flavorful and fresh. The service was great and the vibe inside was really chill, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy. I wish I lived closer because I'd definitely be here all the time. The pizza was that good! I also noticed they had pesto twists on the menu, and I'm already looking forward to trying them next time I visit.

This place is so good! I was passing through Cotati in my way to a bakery and so glad I stopped. MUST check out their happy hour starting at 3, a slice & a beer for $12. Their tap options are limited but all 4 options are really good breweries. Pizza was fresh & so good, beer was also nice & crisp. Check them out!

Cheese slice, NYC style - delicious!

This is the best (as in most NYC like) pizza I've had in Sonoma County and maybe even the overall Bay Area. They really get it on the crust, sauce, and flavors combination feeling. I came in another time and loved it, now I'm doing it again. Plus the vibe and people are nice and they have some specials. I love Sal's!

I was taken away by the decor, the pool table, and a small arcade. This is definitely a place that you come and hangout with some friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their pizza, and they really took care of me when I told them it was my first time there. They told me that they serve New York style and Detroit style pizza. I'll have to try Detroit someday, but for now I focused on New York style. I ordered a spicy sausage pizza and a pepperoni which had hot honey. I only ever had hot honey in Los Angeles, so I was hoping it would be delicious. The spicy sausage pizza was delicious, flavors were balanced and I tasted everything they laid out. The pizza is thin so it's definitely New York style and the crust was so crispy and light. The thing I love about New York style pizza is just how edible the crust are. I feel like you can just have them as breadsticks and I would buy them. The hot honey pizza was an out of the world flavor. If I had to pick one pizza for anyone to try it's this New York Pepperoni with hot honey. This is an amazing balance of sweet and savory. The first bite really took my tastebuds on a ride and I was ready for another. The pepperoni pizza wasn't too greasy and the honey just really brought the flavor altogether. I had hot honey in LA, now I'm glad to say, I don't need to go to LA for that. If you have a desire for pizza, look no further than Acre Pizza!

The variety and freshness of the greens really stood out. As a vegetarian, I initially hesitated when I saw what looked like bacon bits, but the owner kindly assured me they were seasoned breadcrumbs -- such a creative and delicious touch. I ordered the potato pizza, and my granddaughter chose the pepperoni. She devoured nearly the entire pizza in record time, so I think it's safe to say she gives it five stars! My potato pizza was the bomb -- bursting with flavor. The pickled peppers added the perfect tangy kick. Both pizzas had that wonderful thin, crispy crust that I absolutely love. The service was friendly and attentive. While the pizzas are on the smaller side and perhaps a bit higher in price, the fresh, quality ingredients make it worthwhile. I also appreciated seeing a Palestinian soda in the refrigerator case, with 50% of the proceeds going toward a Palestine support fund -- a thoughtful and meaningful touch.
