Good food, very loud environment, but drinks from the bar are a huge rip off. We ordered a couple beers from the draft and the bartender didn't get the pour right on either, the beer foam was well below the top of the glass. It felt like almost 20% was missing. I think I got trapped in all the hype. It think it's been glorified due to the availability of the pizza. The pizza itself was what I would consider a personal pan pizza. So please don't purchase just one if your feeding two hungry adults. My partner and I both came to the conclusion. It's more about the hype than the actual pizza. I've been here three times now. The second time they comped the order they screwed up and the food was slightly better. However, the experience still was no good. I'm talking to the guy at the counter about the original experience and I start telling them they need to get a bigger sign so we can tell where the heck this place is. Out of nowhere this lady butts in "THAT'S NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR YOU?!!" I had to do a double take because I didn't even see this psychopath sitting down the bar from where we were standing. Considering the building has a giant neon sign saying MassVR and the pizzapaya sign is a little piece of paper in the window, which they cover up with the doors, no. No it's not. I'm assuming this is a MassVR representative, and I just don't understand the imbecilic behavior. In who's mind is it okay to attack customers and butt into their conversations? The customer experience here is a 1. Now for the third and final time, I send my gf to get the pizza and when she gets home, her and the entire car are SOAKED in excess oil and honey. Repeat customer who in the beginning was super frustrated I couldn't order one because the demand was high! However, I was patient and it paid off. Excellent pizza, quality ingredients, made with care and passion. People working there go out of there way to serve their customers and build a loyal base of customers. We love Pizza Payaa. Ordered from the original location and now have been to the Uptown location twice. The Uptown location is great. Very vibrant and upbeat. We ordered the Honey Badger and the veggie supreme. Delicious!! Have also had the Brussel sprouts that are yummy, too! The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The owner has been there both times walking around and visiting with people. This will be one of our go to places for sure! Just one suggestion is to turn the music down just a tad. I love that you can Now dine in and enjoy this delicious pizza hot and fresh!! They were extra busy and had a few snags with order but they handled them like professionals. All the employees worked together to quickly resolve any problems that arose. What makes a difference was Adam the owner was right there side by side helping the employees. We ordered 4 different pizzas and my family is quite disappointed. You'd think after spending almost $100 we would be getting what we ordered / paid for; however, this is not the case. My daughter got the 'Bad Boy' and found a hair on her first piece (thankfully she looked at the bottom of the crust before taking that first bite!) My husband ordered the 'Fun Guy' "Roasted Cremini and Button Mushrooms..." added sausage. The assistant manager informed me when I picked up the pizzas that after making our 'Tammy Supreme', he ran out of mushrooms....but we could take some from the Tammy and put it on our Fun Guy. After explaining we only ordered the Fun Guy for the mushrooms, I was told that I would be reimbursed the full amount of said pizza; however, he couldn't do it until the following day as it was Sunday evening...9 days later and we're still waiting for our $$ back. If they ran out of mushrooms and unable to fulfill our order correctly, they should have called the customer to explain they couldn't make the 'Fun Guy' as they ran out of the topping. I worked 5 years in the pizza business and will most definitely be spending my $$ elsewhere. read more

When ordering I was a bit concerned with the quality of the burrata they were going to use, but they knocked it out of the park. The salty cheese, crunchy crust and the delicate and gooey burrata topped with that little sweetness coming from the honey and freshness of the basil were the perfect combination.
