Viking pizza on cauliflower crust. Literally magic.
    Matt F.

Visited the area from Atlanta recently and a friend recommended Papa G's for the Viking on cauliflower crust. Enjoyed with a friend on a perfect weather evening, with a couple excellent craft brews and sat on the patio. Staff is helpful and friendly, and the pizza and dough bites were the best thing I've eaten all month. The cauliflower crust is magic and likely involves culinary sorcery - I would order this crust without question every time. Crusty, thin, light, and lets the fresh ingredients shine through. Thinking about it more: this is the best pizza I've eaten in decades. Maybe my life. Looking forward to visiting again. Well done, the pizza wizards of Papa G's!

Happy to return to Papa G's Has been a little while. Was way to cold out last time (ate inside then - which is a nice option). Beautiful weather - dined outside. Nice little outdoor area. Pizza thin crust (and... For thin crust) very nice. Some of the best McLean area thin crust. Price is reasonable Beer/wine/wine cooler options

    Patio

Good pizza, friendly staff, beautiful patio. Grab and go style. Fairly priced. Cheaper if you pay cash.

The pizza is good. Not the best ever but it's fresh, hand tossed and not chain pizzeria variety. The employees are super friendly and nice. The dining area is small and cozy. The patio is so nice. Umbrella tables, garden planters with herbs and vegetables are around the border. They even have a hummingbird feeder out there. I gave an extra star just for the atmosphere.

Small building - nice and clean inside

We have heard quite a few good things about Papa G's, so we decided to give it a try. Not too much in the Downs downtown area, so it won't be hard to find. Nice and clean on the inside - there are 3 tables (seating for 3 @ each) to eat in. There is also a tv to watch. Just a heads up - no delivery. We ordered 2 16" pizzas - one a specialty - and it was right under $34. The pizza was quite delicious. The crust was very good and the sauce was just right. It was a touch greasy, but most pizzas are right? Would definitely order again!

Too thick of sauce never consistent on taste! They're great about letting you know when orders ready but that's all!

Stone cooked pizza is the best! Their dough nuggets are wonderful! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem!

"Go to" place for a pie. To heck with chain pizza places. Worth the trip from Bloomington. Or LeRoy.

Three people at…read moreour table ordered the enchiladas, and they were dry, lacked flavor, and the chicken was gristly. We had to ask for extra sauce, and they were missing the sour cream that was shown in the menu picture. The portions were also very small for the price. The service was extremely slow. It took about 15 minutes before our server came to take our drink orders, and our food took a long time to arrive. We also had issues with a coupon that wouldn't scan. The server had to get the manager, who said she couldn't honor it because it was " old and too big of a discount" even though it was on the app and only offered us $2 off instead. We also had a $5 gift card that was forgotten when the bill was brought out, and we had to ask for the manager again to have it corrected. Overall, this was a frustrating experience with slow service, disappointing food, and unnecessary issues at checkout. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to the experiences we've had here in the past. And people came in way after us and left way before us so we don't know why they were not taking care of our table.

The breadsticks and salad were really good but the pizza was so undercooked. I tried to cook it more in my oven and it didn't do anything the pizza was just already ruined. When I took a bite of it the dough stuck to my teeth, that's how undercooked it was. I called for a refund and they said they would let the boss know. I called the next day and they said the boss did it and I will get it in 2-3 days. On the fifth day after I still didn't get it so I called and they said sorry will tell him to do it again. 5 more days passed and still nothing so I called back and they gave me their bosses number so I called a couple of times over a week and he just didn't answer or reach back out. I called the restaurant today and mind you it's been almost a month at this point, I said your boss isn't answering at all so can I just get a free pizza. They said yes so I went to go pick it up and got home and took a bite and it was undercooked again! it wasn't as bad as the first time but still very undercooked. I could feel the soft dough in between the bottom and cheese. I would highly recommend not going to this location. I have had positive experiences at the Normal location, but overall I will not be eating firehouse pizza ever again or wasting my money on it.

I was looking for a place to grab some food quickly over the lunch hour. I love sandwiches and am a regular and all the sandwich shops in town. Well, not all the places because I forgot this place existed until about a week ago when my wife reminded me of it. So it was on my list of places to try out. I didn't have much time so I was hoping for fast service. Upon my arrival I was excited to see they had a drive through. I went to the drive through. The menu was easy to read and I made my selection quickly. I went with the sweet chipotle chicken sandwich, barbecue chips, and a Coke Zero. There was only 1 car in front of me. The wait was longer than I was expecting with only 1 car in front of me. The cashier said their computer went down briefly causing the delay and apologized. She was very kind and delivered very good customer service. The sweet chipotle chicken was really good, but I found the sauce a bit too sweet. The chicken was excellent and the bread was very soft and fresh. I would definitely eat it again. The chips were your average kettle baked chips. I did not go inside the building so I cannot comment on the interior of the building but from the outside the facility looked new and well taken care of. The price for my sandwich, chips, and drink was $10.96 which seems very comparable to the other places in town for this size of a meal. I'll be back.
