We were in town for a golf tournament and to visit family. We got into town late and Cadillac Jack's was close to our Airbnb so we gave them a try. They had live music in the parking lot that was very loud, so we decided to eat inside. The waitress was nice and made several menu suggestions since it was our first visit. We started out with pretzels and cheese. It was good. They offered two different cheeses with it, beer cheese and nacho cheese. We tried both and they were good. I created my own pizza with pepperoni, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, my son had a pepperoni pizza, and my husband had the Philly steak with onion rings. Cadillac Jack's is basically a music themed roadhouse that probably features some great local live music. Unfortunately, we visited on a Sunday afternoon and not only was it pretty slow, but they actually close at 6:30 on Sundays - which we all thought was kind of odd?!? Located on the southwest side of Bloomington, IL, it''s a pretty cool vibe, and I'd really like to come back when there's a band is playing. We sat inside, but there is also a large patio area that is both covered and uncovered. Again, we arrived around 5:30 and we were one of two to three tables there. Our server was great. He was prompt, and served everything with a smart-ass remark or a sarcastic comment - which was great. We were a group of 10 adults, and a mix of college students and parents. He "read the room" perfectly, and his comments were funny without crossing any lines. The food was good. Exactly what you would expect at a place like this. I had the sliders, and they were good. My kids had the chicken tenders and they were huge, perfectly cooked and delicious. The garlic cheese curd appetizer was also really good. My wife had a Western Burger and she said it was great. Another person had the Philly Steak Sandwich and they said it was just okay. So the food was better than average, but the real reason to hit Cadillac Jack's is the value. The prices are extremely affordable compared to other restaurants serving similar food. I'd love to come back during a busier time. read more

I stopped by around dinner time in a Saturday. It was just before things were going to pick up with the night bar crowd. I had a key lime colada (it was ok) and a cheese quesadilla. I had it with chicken and it was honestly the best I've ever had. It had real chicken and was a BIG portion for a full meal. Music was a mix- loud metal (not my thing) but also some classic 80's. Drove down from Chicago to visit the zoo and history museum. Stopped here for lunch/dinner. A friend ordered the western double burger and I had the Philly Cheesesteak with extra meat. Both were excellent. Also had onion rings with honey mustard dip. Highly recommend. Appetizer was Loaded Potato Kegs. Soooo good I have to figure out a recipe for home. Place was empty, but this close to 2 Universities, I'm sure they get their fill later. Appeared to have a very well stocked bar and selections. I got the nachos app and the the double cheeseburger with french fries. Sadly the nachos app is not listed in my pic as me and my father devoured it. The two cheeses I got with it were nacho cheese and beer cheese. The nacho cheese had a tang to it, like it had grounded up nice jalapenos in it. The beer cheese was a basic cheese sauce, but wasn't spicy. It tasted rather amazing! The double cheeseburger was an ok size, but not as big as other bar food in town. I'd compare it to more or less like a DQ double cheeseburger or so. The french fries? Man, were they amazing and tasty! The right amount of salt on it, and the fact they were so soft to bite into. They were still nice when I had arrived home to eat my meal. As far as ordering drinks such as beer goes? It's rather easy to do. You go up front and just sit or stand at the bar to get your drink. I'd suggest going during non busy hours myself. The staff were friendly and greeted me right away too. There was one man working there, but didn't see or catch his name. Customer service was top notch. He explained to me the jalapenos are in the nacho cheese sauce, and soi gave me it and the beer cheese at no extra charge. Although he was technically correct, they are grounded up nice in the nacho cheese. Cadillac Jack's, you guys get an awesome rating from this boy. Keep up the amazing work you guys do! read more

Yes, the reviews are pretty spot on! We stopped here on our way home from Michigan for a quick bite to eat after reading the reviews and I'm so glad we did! We sat down and were served on by the bartender, he was great and recommended plenty of options. We got the garlic cheese curds, a burger, chicken sandwich, and fries and all were delicious especially the smash burger! The food came out quickly and we were very impressed with the bill. It would have been a lot more $ to get this at another restaurant. It was a great little dive that had great music, and a great bartender! I took off one star, not to the fault of our server or the food quality. One of the waitresses was very mad to the point that we watched her throw the kitchen door open and cuss out someone in the kitchen, not sure why but it was an ordeal that we would have rather not witnessed. The also have draft squirt which was a nice surprise since it's so hard to find! We will definitely be stopping here again next time we're coming through Bloomington. read more

We went to Cadillac Jack's for lunch as we frequent them quite often. We were really disappointed in the burger. Did they change the meat company that they order from? To us the burger had a smell to it and a completely different taste. Not the juicy burger that we are used to! ( I would compare the burger to one from McDonald's. ) Just wanted to mention this to see if anyone else had this experience. The restaurant was very clean. The server was very nice and attentive.
