We were with friends who had already eaten at Rosie's earlier that day & highly recommend it! So my husband walked a couples doors down from Pour Bros. Craft Taproom where we're with ours friends to order food for our family. He got a cheeseburger w/fries, a club sandwich w/fries & cheese curds with ranch & marinara sauce. It was made very quickly, HOT & fresh. It tasted excellent! Next time we are in town we will definitely plan on eating at Rosie's. read more

Great space, servers are friendly and fast. My family enjoyed their meals-- mostly burgers & fries. That being said, they were very pricey for the portion size. We usually take half of our food back with us, but everyone was able to finish no problem. My son even asked for a snack right after we got back into the car. I really wanted to rate this place higher even with the costs, but they charged us for every ranch-- even for the chicken tenders! My salad with chicken for $11 came on a bread plate and was very skimpy. And, I get this, but they also charge a credit card fee of 3.75%. This is the highest passed on fee to customers I've seen. My problem is that they either need to upgrade portion sizes or skip the convenience fee or lower their prices. So many other great spots to get a drink & burger for WELL under $20 a person. read more

We were in Bloomington to drop our son off at ISU. It was a Friday night and it was difficult to find a place to eat a sit-down dinner. We made calls to several places. Rosie's, although busy, checked their dining room, found a spot for us and held a reservation. Our server was nice and he hustled. It took a very long time to get our food but it was worth it. The salmon, pasta, and asparagus was quite flavorful. The salmon was a teeny bit overdone for my liking but was still delicious. Hubby's lobster and shrimp fettuccini was yummy - creamy. I would definately recommend. Other: there is some outside seating. Tables indoors are in relatively close proximity. Very polite staff. read more

On our way from Chicago to Big Bend Texas, on phase-1, we stopped at Rosie's for lunch. I was ambivalent about taking a long break, we usually munch on the car and have a great dinner at our daily destination point. Well... it was worth the stop. We started with drinks, Arnold Palmer and Old Fashion followed by Burgers. I had the blue cheese with no bun and my husband had mushroom Swiss. Excellent choices and the fries were crispy and tender. Loved the bar atmosphere. We choose the dinning area which was also inviting. Service was just right, attentive and leaving space for privacy. read more

I really like this place. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, attentive, and timely. The food is what sells this place. That salad with duck is like unbelievably good. I have never had anything like it. The duck is so juicy and perfectly crusted. The salad, crisp and fresh. The almonds and orange pieces bringing another element to an already phenomenal flavor profile. I could have just had that but I didn't! I had the salmon and it didn't disappoint. Food was ok. Service was good and we sat outside. Drinks were pretty good. Would NEVER return to this establishment. I generally tip 25% but tipped 20% in this case. This place charged me a credit card user fee on top of the bill and sales tax. That is completely unacceptable. Who carries that kinda cash to pay for lunch? I felt like a sucker. Why would I pay $700 annually to carry a credit card and then pay a "usage fee " at merchants on top? Eat dirt management. Boycott this place. read more

I ordered the wings (hot and Thai), chicken nachos, and the twisted turkey sandwich (at least I'm pretty sure that was the name) and all of them were great. Have been here twice so far. Have enjoyed it both times and have found there to be good service and good food. They're not that quick.....so keep that in mind.....but good atmosphere and interior. A friend told me Rosie's was the place you take girl to impress her... can't say anything girl would be impressed. I went here to celebrate my friends birthday who was in town visiting me. We got burgers which were burgers. They were like any other pub burger nothing special but they were quite expensive for the area. I believe each burger was around $13 which for what you got was way over priced. The fries were what you'd expect nothing special there. Nice bar and grill in downtown Bloomington. The atmosphere is inviting. The menu has something for everyone. This was my first time eating here. I tried the ham and apple sandwich with smoked Gouda on a pretzel roll. No need for condiments. Tasted delicious. Great combination. I never would think about adding grilled apple slices to a sandwich. I'll probably duplicate this sandwich at home. read more
