In Bloomington for work, try to avoid the chains when I travel, was craving pizza so I came here. Food was awesome with great service, next night had a salad different people but same wonderful service. Needless to say this is my third evening here in four days. Atmosphere, service and food all rate excellent. Food is quick and fresh. I don't drink but their bar selection looks good as well. This will be a must visit every time I come to Bloomington. read more

Flingers Pizza Pub - Tiking time bomb, excellent with ranch and marinara dipping sauces. - Pizza Near Me - Bloomington, Illinois

I can't speak for all of the food on the menu, but the blackjack Mac, the smoke Gouda bites just to name a couple of items we had were excellent. The service was pretty good too. read more

This was our first visit to Flingers. We chose it based on the reviews and pictures. We visited on a Tuesday night. No wait time. We decided to sit outside on the patio, because it was a beautiful evening. We started with drinks and the cheese bread with marinara for the appetizer. We later placed a food order and decided to try a variety of things since it was our first time. We ordered pepperoni rolls, a thin crust create your own pizza with pepperoni, onion, and bell peppers, and a hand tossed Italian beef pizza. After a significant amount of time the waitress returned to check on us and let us know the pizzas would be out soon, so we asked her about the appetizer. She admitted that she forgot to put it in. She asked if we still wanted it, which we did, and so she said it would be 8 minutes in the oven. The food all came out within the next 10 minutes or so (minus the appetizer), and we dove in. It was all very good and we were happy with the options we chose. The waitress returned once we were finished eating and we asked for boxes and the check. The appetizer still hadn't came out. She apologized again and asked if we just wanted it boxed up to go, to which we said yes. Several minutes later a manager showed up and told us again, that there was a miscommunication and the appetizer was never made and yet to be placed in the oven. At this point, we asked it to be canceled and just asked for boxes and the check. Things happen, and the way they responded to the mistake is the reason I am still giving them 4 stars. They reduced our bill significantly and offered us a coupon for a free pizza on the next visit as a way to make things right. The waitress was great and the manager was very professional. We will give them another try next time we are in town. read more

Order online for pick up. Get home and the Meemaw's dip is burnt. Had it a week ago and it was creamy and perfect. Can't even get it off the bottom of the dish. Called the store and Bret was minimal help. Tried to tell us it comes out a little brown. This is more than brown. This is burnt and dry. So disappointing. read more

A must when you visit Bloomington. Many beers on tap, food is great. We had the carnivore pizza, and Mac attack. Both were great but the Mac attack was by far my favorite. Delicious. Great flavor. The cheese curds were great too! Love the decor with all the taps around the perimeter of the space. Service was fair. We never were offered drink refills. Highly recommend read more

While visiting ISU we stopped in for some pizza to try something new & WOW were we surprised. We tried the beer cheese appetizer, those who took part said it was delicious. We had chicken wings garlic flavored... yummy! And the gluten free pizza was the best I have ever had ANYWHERE! Oh my gosh Becky.... Deeeeelicious! Our server Ayden was fantastic and tentative . The ambiance was welcoming with a laid Back vibe. Loved it! Cannot wait to eat there again. read more

Every time I make it back to ISU to visit my daughter at school I make a point to go here. The food is amazing. I always order too much pizza so I can take some back home. Wish there was one closer to the NW suburbs. Gonna try some of their many beers the next visit. Highly recommended as the pizza is top notch read more

Awesome place! Pizza was outstanding! We ordered the Ticking Time Bomb" pizza because we like it spicy and we loved it. Could have been spicier for my taste but the mix of topping/cheese/sauce was good. The beer selection was nice and I was able to have a couple new ones I'd never tried before. Service was attentive and friendly with good timing. We also enjoyed the multiple TV's with football on so we could keep up with the games! Recommend this for good food and drinks! read more

Time for flinger rolls, round 2! Is this a revisit or a new review? A bit of both since I've had Flingers many times but it was in an older building in another part of town. My dad and I talk fondly of Flingers and their famous flinger rolls so we decided to stop talking about it and drop in for a meal. Upon entering, we waited in line until we told the people at the hostess counter that we would like to dine in. The hostess had a bit of a snobby attitude but we got seated quickly and had a friendly waitress come out and greet us. We got waters and looked over the menus despite knowing what we were already going to get. My dad and I both got three flinger rolls with jalapeno, pepperoni, and sausage in it and got some bread sticks as an appetizer. Despite the crazy crowd coming in for the even more crazy lunch deals ($1.95/slice is insane, imo.) the bread sticks came out after about 5-7 minutes. We quickly dug in as we both didn't eat breakfast and were starving. Shortly after that, the flinger rolls came out and looked delicious. The bread sticks, while good, seemed a bit airy and not as filling as they initially looked. They came with marinara and cheese dipping sauce and were good either sauced up or not. The flinger rolls also had that airy vibe to them. I mentioned to my dad that after 3 bread sticks, I won't be able to put down the rolls but as I started eating... there seemed to be plenty of room for everything. We requested marinara sauce and spicy ranch as our dipping sauces and boy, did they compliment the rolls really well. As we finished, I mentioned to my dad that I was full but not really at the same time. I don't think I could've ate much more but knew that within an hour or so, that fullness would be replaced with emptiness. It's a shame that the rolls aren't as filling as I remember because it did seem like they were light on the toppings and having to pay for the toppings per roll for each roll gets pricey quick. Our bill was around $46 for 6 rolls, a thing of bread sticks, two waters, and a unsweet tea. I was super hyped to have a flinger roll again after so long but maybe the rose-tinted glasses were on today because while the food was super delicious and fresh, it felt like the toppings on the rolls have gotten skimpy and the rudeness of the hostess upon entering dropped it from a 5 to a 4. Still a really good place for pizza, beer, and various other menu items but it definitely lost some of that charm that the old place had. read more

Called in to place an order - the guy who took my order was pretty rude and snippy - went to pick it up, turns out it was the guy with the porn mustache and didn't even acknowledge me for 10 mins while I was standing there, and we made eye contact. Finally a nice young lady was able to assist me. This review is based solely on his service - not the food read more

Busy Saturday lunch time. First time here. Staff stayed upbeat and in control, not a hint of panic. What lured me here was the Flinger Rolls. Holy smokes! You'll understand when I highly recommend these beauties. I got 4 and ate 2 and was content. Cannot wait for later to demolish them. Clean friendly light atmosphere! read more

Great service in the restaurant and also easy to order great pizza online. One of my favorite locations to get really good pizza!

Maybe the best pizza value in Blo No... pizza sauce is tasty and the crust is good as well.

I love trying local restaurants when I travel. Especially pizza. I must say the reviews were great so I gave it a shot. The staff was very friendly , the place was packed so it was a local hangout. Atmosphere was fun so there were no issues there. The pizza did have a fair amount of ingredients but for some reason the cheese was not there. I would have given a 4 if the cheese was covering the whole pizza. Everyones taste is different but I like a lot of ingredients and cheese with a New York style crust. It's hard to find that perfect pie. Can't win ''em all. Maybe the next time I try it I will have to order extra cheese. read more

Returned again for a work trip! Got the cheese balls again, love, a fun mocktail, delicious, and the wings, okay. I did risk it and tried a Fanta flavored wings but felt the wings lacking in orange flavor and tasted more just like hot sauce. I'll go back to getting pizza when I return! Still a good spot! read more

We ordered delivery but all the pizza choices we made were excellent. They are artisan style/craft pizza with a twist. All had great flavor. We ordered a Venetian, White Chick, Carnivore and a couple single topping pizza. All were gone by the end of the night. read more

Great food, okay service. one of our favorite places to eat and drink in normal. always crazily packed and busy, and loud, especially on weekend nights around dinner time (to be expected). highly recommend! read more

Very good pizza and service. Best pizza place around for sure. There is also plenty of TVs for viewing sports

I've been here multiple times and just realized I've never reviewed it. The appetizers are great with portions large enough to share with the table. The pizza is good too. The taco pizza is unique and a nice change. They have a huge album, like a baseball card holder, with different beers and ciders. Soooo many to choose from. I've always had good service here. read more

Awesome pizza! So many varieties to choose fro so it's perfect for a group or family with different tastes. Delivery is always crazy long. The wait is too long so we typically opt for carry-out. I've never eaten there so I have no idea what the atmosphere or service is like. Their pizzas are always delicious! read more

By far the most enticing and flavor filled pizza parlor I have ever been to, delicious to the max menu, original and creative blends with all sorts of ideals, mac n cheese, of course! Finally got back after a year hiatus and indulged in the full on goodness of the leftover August pizza of the month, let's hope they make it a permanent pie! We all agreed once again there is no other Italian marriage to America this good in the Midwest. I generally avoid paying for pizza as I can prop up a proper win myself with day old sourdough sliced thick, good marinara, and such toppings as work in the moment. However it's a rich feast here that warrents keeping my thoughts to myself as I cannot improve on the menu, atmosphere, or ideal way the ingredients go down. read more

Very nice family atmosphere. We were in town for college visits and yelped this place for pizza. Best decision we made for dinner. We tried the fried fish appetizer and thought that was just ok. The BBQ pizza was very delicious and presented very well with a good portion of toppings. I would definitely return for another specialty pizza option. read more

Ok, we have been there twice more and still love this place! Great food. Still love the Super Freak, but all the food is great.

Food is good but it has never been ready on time when picking up. Online orders run ten minutes late every single time!

Excellent beer selection and creative pizzas with fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff.

In the last two years, their service has gotten worse and worse. This used to be our go to place for family movie night.... But now, their minimum delivery time is usually 2 hours or more. Now tonight they literally delivered an empty pizza box to my neighbors (see pic)... we are all done with this terrible service and no one in my friends circle will probably ever order from them again. read more

Pizza and wings never disappoint. Flingers is my go to place for craft pizza and big juicy wings. They always have different items in the menu which keeps it fresh. Extremely friendly staff! The only thing better is the tap selection! I don't eat pizza too often, but the craft pizza here is so rich, you can't go wrong with any pie on the menu. I mainly come for the beer, and the variety is great. There's always something for everyone, and that's what I like about Flingers. It's a community hub where you'll run into someone you know more often than not, so it's a great bar to pull up on your own and have a couple pints. I'll see you there! read more

Amazingly good pizza. Not Chicago style particularly. Just good. Lots of different flavors and styles. We ordered one that was mozzarella and ricotta cheese and garlic and they brought sides of marinara and spicy ranch. Holy mother of God it was freaking good. We had another at the table that was sausage and jalapeño bits. Really amazing. Cannot speak highly enough and will be back over and over. Also they have my favorite cream ale beer. A million stars. The kids hustle so your food is hot. Stop thinking. Go eat. Also they have a daily lunch special that looked good. Go get it! Oh-where a jacket. It's chilly inside especially by the bricks. read more
