My son had ordered takeout a couple of times and loved it. This is the first time we've visited in the restaurant. Our server Izzy was phenomenal from start to finish. She was super knowledgeable about the menu, so pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. We ordered cauliflower wings for a starter and they were delicious. Both The Fig and the Pig and Four Cheese pizzas were absolutely amazing ! Decent wine and beer selection and a lot of fun cocktails on the menu. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, such a great vibe. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Was looking for a great deep dish pizza that had fresh toppings and a crispy crust. This place checks all the boxes. We had the Tammy Supreme and it was outstanding. Pepperoni, fennel sausage, green peppers, onions, black olives and mushrooms. It was a little pricey at $24, however I'm willing to pay a little more for good quality pizza. One thing we noticed is that they do not skimp on the toppings like other places. It's wall to wall toppings piled high. My wife and I shared this pizza and it worked out great. We ordered take out and it was ready in ten minutes. The gal at the front who took our order was pleasant, helpful and very professional. Highly recommended! read more

Pizza Payaa - This supreme pizza was just AWESOME!!! Disclaimer: we had already eaten two pieces after I snapped this pic so it's larger. - Pizza Near Me - Normal, Illinois

On my third visit to Pizza Payaa, I ordered a gluten-free cheese "burrata be kidding me" pizza. I am blown away by the uniqueness of this flavor combination: it's a 3-cheese pizza with red sauce and fresh bits of basil, topped with an entire gigantic burrata cheese, then drizzled with with Mike's Hot Honey. Everything works in harmony, and the GF crust is delicious. This rich and decadent pizza was the perfect size to feed two people. Best gluten-free pizza in Illinois! read more

Do not go here! Although the food is decent, my husband and I went here and ordered drinks and food at the bar. He ordered an old fashioned and they refused to serve him. It was literally his third drink of the day and he's 57 years old. It was ridiculous and embarrassing. We understand it's a college town but so not worth the trouble. Go elsewhere. read more

OK, now who is going to sit down and go, "Gee, what if I sliced potatoes and put them on a pizza"? Apparently, the geniuses at Pizza Payaa. Their latest special, the Loaded Potato Payaa, is brilliant. Of course, the incredible Detroit-style pizza with that crunchy cheesy edge, three cheeses, garlic, thinly sliced delicious Yukon gold potatoes, topped with grana Padano cheese, finished with chives, sour cream, and loads of bacon. Ridiculous. read more

Pizza Payaa - From my third of four visits: beloved by all! - Pizza Near Me - Normal, Illinois

I've never had a pizza I didn't like from Pizza Payaa. Every time I try a new one, it becomes my favorite. I haven't visited the restaurant in Normal yet, but intend to. The staff at the Currency Drive location are always friendly and helpful, and being able to order on the app for a specific pickup time eliminates any waiting. I don't order pizza anywhere else. read more

Listen, I'm originally from Chicago and this pizza blows away any pizza place from there. Lou Malnati's? Better. Pequod's? Better. Giordano's? Better. Gino's East? Better. I literally stake my Chicago claim on it. Try this pizza now! Especially the collabs. I haven't had one bad pie yet! read more

I must say that I had their double fried wings yesterday for lunch and I came back to get them for dinner and they were exceptionally well. I'm still giving them five stars. I also bought the wedge salad however I didn't get any napkins or silverware and I was traveling as a passenger back home an hour away so I didn't get to eat my salad and I had to wait till the next day and it Was just OK. I think it would've been better if I could've experienced it when I first got it so if you are reading this Pizza Paya always ensure their are napkins and silverware because you never know if your customer is going back home or traveling. I will be back again. I'm not sure I'm gonna try to salad again because it wasn't that good the next. However, those wings will always keep me coming back!! read more

Excellent pizza every time. Best specialty pizza ever (and I travel fairly often to 'foodie' cities). Voted Best Pizza in BloNo. Have always done take out - located in a VR/video poker place. Best to order ahead and plan ahead. May be an hour or more for pick up. At first glance, it appears pricey. But, thicker, absolutely amazing crust heavy on the toppings. Well worth the price and the wait. read more

We ordered the Honey Badger, A-Lo-hot, and the s'more pizzas! Awesome pizzas! The sauce is slightly sweet and light. The crust is amazing, not heavy for being so thick! The fennel sausage is fabulous, a nice savory flavor. The s'mores pizza is to die for! My order was ready on time and the employees were friendly and polite! read more

A friend told me about the restaurant so I decided to give it a try. That night I ordered for lunch the next day - pizza and sausage. The total for 1 pizza was just shy of $21. So first finding the place, I knew the general vicinity, it was daylight and I had gps and still drove passed it. For their first time customers especially - It would be helpful for them to include more location detail in the order confirmation such as "inside the building with..." Second the gentleman who waited on me was quite nice and gave me a side of hot honey to try. So that was a nice gesture. We are doing good. Next to the pizza. I could see the oil/grease on the pizza. No problem that's what paper towels are for. I have blotted many pizzas before. If you like pizza for the bread instead of the toppings, cheese or sauce then you will absolutely love this pizza. If you like pizza for the melted cheese you may be disappointed because it's sparingly used. If you like sauce, there's not a lot which is fine by me. If you are a toppings person, the pizza from here may frustrate you. Why? They clump the toppings together. I had 5-6 pepperoni pieces clumped on top of each other. I was like if they had only spread out the toppings and added a tad more cheese. Finally the taste and my "hack" - the crunchy edges and the bottom of the pizza are absolutely delicious- kinda buttery tasting. But due to the thickness of the pizza it's absolutely too much bread for me. So I deconstructed the pizza. Pulled the cheese and toppings off so I could remove a layer of the bread (the spongey part) and then layered the cheese and toppings back onto the remaining bottom part of the pizza. Ate the leftover reconstructed pizza the next day after herring in the over at 375. I will admit it's the best tasting next day pizza. So overall, the pizza is tasty but a bit pricey for the size and the effort I had to put in it to get it the way I wanted it. I would recommend to try it to determine if you like it and to support a new business read more

We really enjoyed this pizza! Wow! My wife tried the Veggie with red sauce and I had the "Sausage Fun Guy" with chives. Delicious!!!

Delicious. I have followed them on Instagram for a while and I'm glad I was finally able to try their pizza.

Very good! Unlike any pizza place around Bloomington/Normal. The crust is so light and fluffy, it doesn't feel like you're eating a whole loaf of bread like other thick crust pizzas around! Definitely recommend using the hot honey too! read more

I drove down to Bloomington from the Chicago suburbs to purchase a car. When we were doing the walk-thru of the tech features and the technician told the car she was hungry, it populated a list of the nearest restaurants based on the highest ratings. At the top of the list was Pizza Payaa with 4.9 stars! After being at the dealership for four hours, this pizza really hit the spot! All the employees were very helpful walking us through the menu and answering our questions since they easily guessed we were newbies. The pizza came out surprisingly fast. The dough was nice and thick yet fluffy with a great crispy edge to it. Not only did the employees stop by to ask how our meal was but they were quick to wrap our leftover pizza to ensure it did not overtake the new car smell on our drive home. If you're in the area or live local I definitely recommend their pizza. I wish they had a location closer to home in the Chicago suburbs! read more

We were wanting something new and delicious and Pizza Payaa did not disappoint. Not only was the service great, the food was best in class. We shared a pizza and salad - both exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back. We were doing an early dinner so wasn't crowded at all. Very clean and cool in temperature / my favorite combo. Highly recommend!!! We're told we should see other shops set up across the country.... Great news too for us travelers. read more

Such a treat for a vegan! The last time I had a piece of pizza this good was before I became vegan. Thank you Pizza Payaa!

Hands down the best pizza in town. Yes it might be one of the priciest options, but for VERY good reason. These guys have brought a pizza to town that's top tier in quality and taste.
