1/4 chicken dinner with my side being spaghetti
    Aaron H.

Way cheaper than fast food! I ordered the quarter chicken and as a side you can get spaghetti in place of a potato. I had chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread, mixed vegetables, and a salad for $10! I went with 2 other people who had pasta dinners and 2 beverages and the total was $35. You cannot beat that price for great food!!

The pizza was excellent. We stopped here for lunch on the way home from a family vacation and loved the atmosphere inside, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. Good value for your money! We had a Hawaiian/Lexington (split it half and half) and a pan cheese pizza. Both had great flavor and consistency. Would definitely go here again!

I have to be honest, most of the reviews on Yelp are positive but they tend to revolve around the breakfast menu and mine is about the pizza. From the photos of the omelets, it looks similar to Pontiac Kitchen. That is about par for the course in the area. We were optimistic when we decided to pick up a large Pepperoni today. Optimistic but not very pleased. The crust tasted like flour and the sauce was nowhere to be found. As for the pepperoni, if you were lucky there might be 3 pieces on your slice but not likely. Look, there aren't many options for pizza in Lexington but there is a Casey's and in my opinion Casey's would blow Uncle Vait's out of the water. While I wouldn't return for the pizza, I would give breakfast a try for sure.

Finally, a Great spot for breakfast. Continuing with the pizza recipe from Kelly's. Good menu selection and a dessert case too.

The sourdough bread and butter were exceptionally good as was the hamachi crudo with coconut milk and flavored herbal oil. The lamb appetizer was perfectly cooked although I'd have traded in the pomegranate molasses component for something not as sweet. I ordered the ribeye with beef tallow fries. Both were very flavorful although a little heavy on salt. My companion ordered the sea bass, which was very very good and we wound up splitting a slice of a fruit tart (also excellent). I'm taking a star off for heavy-handed salting but I'd definitely go back. The place definitely has ambience and is located on historic Rte 66. Nice town too

Last night I took my college-aged kids and wife here for my birthday. It was the 4th time I've been and was by far the worst experience. We started w oysters and they were great--both kinds. My kids and I ordered iced teas and got glasses full of ice w a little bit of really watery iced tea. Next were the fries--pretty good but the "aioli" was just mayo w a dash of lemon -- diff than last time. The carrots were also pretty good, but the flavors didn't all come together. We asked for a refill on iced tea and were told "the bar just 86'd iced tea for the night". ??The restaurant seemed discombobulated. The lamb ribs were cooked really well but didn't have much flavor. Our waiter never came by 1x to ask about or food, and when clearing plates never wiped up spilled food from the table. Had high hopes for the main entrees (lemon pasta and halibut w beurre blanc). All of our entrees came to the table lukewarm. The lemon pasta was oily and a little clumpy and didn't taste great. The halibut was overcooked and the beurre blanc had little to no taste. Super disappointing. If this was the first time I had been there I wouldn't go back.

We LOVED Maple & Yolk! We found it from Google Maps suggestion when looking for a place to eat…read moreafter an appointment at the doctor and wanting to shop at Costco. So the location was perfect right off I74! We went on a weekday around 10 am. As we pulled in, the parking lot had a lot of cars and it being a weekday and not a holiday, right off this seemed like a great sign! As we exited the car we were already hit with great scents as we approached the front door! The building had been easy to spot and was cute! The interior design was nice and in excellent condition. I really hate seeing places with like water damaged ceilings it's just gross. This place was in tip top shape! We were seated right away in a nice booth but had passed a long seating area which I'm sure gets used a lot during busier times and it's nice to see that they have seating for waiting customers. The booth seating was comfortable. The environment was peaceful enough not too quiet but not too loud. We were attended to perfectly by the server who answered any questions we had and politely took our order. She allowed a substitute for my boyfriend and when I had picked pancakes with two sides she pointed out a breakfast dish to me that was better priced. I really appreciated that as I had not see that combination. My boyfriend ordered biscuit and gravy and a fruit cup with coffee as his beverage. His coffee stayed filled. It seemed a little odd that it was just one biscuit but the dish normally came with hash browns not sure if that drowns in gravy? But his dish had TONS of gravy and he LOVED it! He really wanted to pick up the plate and lick every drop of gravy but he resisted!! The fruit was incredible as my dish came with strawberries so I got to experience it too. No idea where they get it but it was incredibly fresh and so tasty it definitely did not seem like grocery store fruit.he had scrambled eggs too I almost forgot. I opted for two pancakes (you could get 3) and bacon (it came with 3 thick slices perfectly cooked and they also offer turkey bacon but I got real), oh and I had the strawberries as a topping! Fresh creamy butter and a tall, hot maple syrup dispenser was provided. Oh I also had scrambled eggs! Cage free. Everything was delicious! So good! The server checked in with us enough. I shared one piece of bacon and some pancake with my boyfriend which he used to help get that gravy! My boyfriend cleared his plate except for a little fruit but I couldn't finish my 2 eggs and as I mentioned I gave my boyfriend some of my bacon and pancake so it was perfect. We felt the pricing was fair in today's market and for how much we enjoyed it. We definitely will go back!

Maple And Yolk is one of the most popular places to go in town for brunch or whatever. Expect to be waiting so make reservations if it's a big group. The menu is pretty basic classics along with some other things. Coming in here in the morning there was already a line going out front. It's certainly a favorite around here. The wait was maybe an hour so basically we got other things finished and came back later. A lot of what you expect at breakfast. It's about $5 for the cheapest items. We got the Avocado Toast. Before going know the vegetarian choices are limited. This one comes with an egg but we instead got more of the other toppings. Also we got Hash Browns. The meal was actually filling before we got hungry again later. Also has lots of lunch items. There's the usual items like salads and sandwiches. Got to say the food was good enough we could come here again. It's closed Mondays. There's limited options for vegans and vegetarians.

The Knight and The Bible…read more On a drive up to Chicago to catch a vacation flight, we stopped at The Cup and The Scone to get us caffeinated for the rest of the drive. We got there about 30 minutes before close and the barista was super nice as we ordered our drinks. Emily got a caramel latte and I got the.. you guessed it... an iced americano. We also grabbed a blueberry-lemon, cranberry-orange, and birthday cake scone. While we stood there as the barista was making our drinks, we chatted her up a bit and we were able to get a few free stickers from her. She said they don't use them all too much and was happy to give us two each. Once we got our drinks, we took off to the upper part of the coffeehouse and promised we wouldn't be too long since they were closing soon. Before we headed upstairs, I took some photos with the suit of armor that is by the counter. When we got upstairs, I was surprised to see another suit of armor, so I took a photo with that one, too. The Cup and The Scone specializes in a lot of gluten-free products and a small bit of religion. I don't know if their entire menu is gluten-free but as someone who's mom is gluten sensitive (and I will probably be at some point), the care about GI issues is great. As for the religious stuff, if you don't see the occasion bible strewn about the place, you'd honestly never know. But, their website seems to support helping people and I think that also is super great as this world is getting rough and scary. Any who, Emily and I really enjoyed our drinks. The americano hit all the right notes and Emily was delighted with her latte. We were split on the scones. I really liked the birthday cake while she really liked the cranberry-orange while we both thought the blueberry-lemon was just alright. We held true to our promise and dipped out before 2pm and hit the road. If I find myself in Pontiac for some reason in the future, The Cup and The Scone will definitely be my spot to get some americanos.

I was initially drawn to this spot by the big knight in shining armor that I saw on Yelp (I'm a big…read morechess fan) and then pleasantly surprised at how cool this place is. The decor really makes this spot, with lots of fun themed signs throughout the restaurant. This definitely gives it a different and more fun vibe than the average coffee house and the upstairs loft is cozy to hangout in as well. The coffee flavors and preparation are quite good here -- flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients. I also enjoyed the mini scones, with a nice texture that was soft but a little more firm than a muffin. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you're in Pontiac. Great vibe and delicious food.
