We went 40 minutes later to pick it up and it wasnt ready, there was a bag in the warmer but no pizza,a man came in after me and had burgers to pick up ,but was also thinking about ordering a pizza and he said he didn't know how it worked since it took longer to cook a pizza then a burger, she proceeds to tell him they time it so everything is done at the same time. Well I waited another 15 minutes for my pizza and that bag that had been sitting in the window were my wings! We ordered a medium deluxe pizza that was supposed to have green peppers on it but I think they forgot the green peppers and added extra onions! It's a great long-time local family business. It is my first time dining here, and I was delighted by the quality of their pizza. The pizza has the unique sweet sauce, that was developed by the family 30 years ago. I enjoyed the juicy and fresh ingredients (mushroom, pepper, sausage, pepperoni) on the Large Deluxe pizza. The crust is thin and crunchy, yet the toppings are delicious and tender! I would not say that I was impressed by the service. The servers all seem rather young (like teenagers) and the service is friendly but minimal. The environment is okay, friendly local diner. This pizza is ok the cheese was great and the crust is cooked to perfection. Looking at this pizza I wanted to fall in love with it. But honestly the sauce is too sweet for me, they do warn you about the sweetness but this is almost dessert sweet. I got some ranch on the side and that was also sweet so I couldn't get the savory sweet combo I was looking for. Ordered 4 pizzas - had to stack them to get them out to car then laid them individually in backseat - get home and cheese and topping stuck to paper so we had to scrape off the toppings back on to pizza. Called and talked to Chris the manager and he says they don't put the table separators on pizzas with high toppings (like sausage). Well pepperoni is pretty flat right? Unfortunately, I was looking forward to this pizza after a long day of traveling from Minnesota. Grady's Pizza was recommended by the hotel concierges. The pizza looked and smelled FANTASTIC! I had ordered the deluxe with extra sauce and no green peppers. Well, I took one bite, and had to spit it out because of the massive amount of ONIONS in it! I DO like onion on my pizza, but I do NOT appreciate an ONION pizza. I couldn't eat my $20 pizza. I peeled off the cheese and meat toppings and left the rest. When I called at 9:54 (they close at 10pm) to inquire if I indeed received the correct pizza, the answering machine came on to say that they were closed. Very disappointed. Grady's is a mystery of the pizza universe that I'm not sure I'll ever understand. Being in Central Illinois, getting a really good pizza is a crapshoot. You can either go to the Central Illinois staples -- Monicals or Tobins -- or you can try your luck at other places. Grady's, however, is a unique place to go because if you go there for reasons other than the mini golf and go karts, it's pretty blah. I live in Dallas Texas but was raised in Bloomington. Every time I come to Bloomington to see family we always go to Grady's because we have always loved this place since childhood. I was there in April and we were told all you could get is pizza. And they weren't very friendly. So I was back to Bloomington a week ago and it was even worst. We went in and you could tell the waitress was not happy we were there. And the first thing she said was they only had pizza and maybe a salad. And you could tell she was disgusted that we were there. So when we were ready to head home my son bagged me to bring him a Grady's pizza. So I got a cooler and dry ice and called them to order him some pizza's. It was only 7pm and they should have been open. It said they were closed. So we went ahead over there and I went in and was told they closed because they ran out of dough? I owned a Pizza Inn in Texas for 20 years I never told a customer that. And I never treated a customer like they treated us. It makes me very sad because Mr. Grady's picture was hanging when you walk in. Someone needs to save this place! read more

Pizza is my favorite food in the entire world and Grady's is #1. I eat pizza all the time, everywhere I go, and nothing has ever compared. I will admit if you aren't into sweet sauce, then it's probably not for you. But the thin cracker crust that makes you feel like you can eat 27 million pieces and not be full plus the large chunks of sausage on every piece and that oh so sweet and delicious sauce just can't be beat. Crust is one of my favorite parts of pizza usually, but I don't mind the fact that there isn't much of an outer crust because the other ingredients blend so perfectly - nothing is missing. I grew up eating Grady's pizza so I'm definitely a fan. It's always been my favorite with that sweet sauce and those crazy, big sausage balls. The crust is thin and perfect. I'm not a fan of their deluxe pizza or any pizza with mass quantities of toppings for that matter. Unlike most pizza, I think less is more here. This is a local place on the eastside of town by the car dealerships.Its been around since the 70s and we like to try this place every once in a while.They have a Great sausage/green pepper pizza that really hit the spot. We also had the garlic bread as well which was delicious.The decor has red skeleton pictures hanging up all over.The dining room is pretty clean & the bathrooms were clean as well(a big plus). After eating pizza they have a fun park in the back,with bumper cars,mini golf,batting cages & video games to do. We will be back again. read more

DELIVERY SUCKS! The person taking orders tells you inaccurate delivery estimates (45-60 min) and it took 90 minutes. We called and asked they said he should be there any minute. 20 minutes later still not here. Called again and then he finally showed up. The staff simply don't care.
