I have been trying to find a go-to pizza spot close to my house in LB for so long and this is the one!! The pizza is delicious. Every ingredient tastes like it's top quality and the sourdough crust is heavenly. But here's what ultimately sold me... I was waiting inside for a pickup order on a Friday night when it was backed up, and taking longer than expected. The chef was so kind, communicating with folks, calling orders for his staff and doing quality checks on every single box. My pizza came out of the oven and he looked it over, decided it wasn't perfect, and put it back on the pizza peel and held that long handle up over his head so my pizza was hovering a few inches from the top of the oven. He held it up like that, checking occasionally, until he was sure the cheese was exactly as brown as he wanted it and the crust was crackly and golden. Only then did he box it up and hand it over. SERVICE: Was greeted by the team upon entry. Even though the chefs are busy making pies, they were attentive to guests entering the shop. The ordering process was straight forward, there's a menu at the register, where you place your order. Chef Mike actually took our order and gave us his recommendations. We ordered and found a spot to seat as the shop is open seating. AMBIANCE: The shop is a vibe! It's clean, modern and spacious. Very clean, including the bathroom. From any seat in the shop, you have a great view of the open concept kitchen. You can see the pizzas getting made. The music was also a vibe. The playlist consisted of easy listening r&b and upbeat, but chill music. FOOD: First up; the House salad. It was fresh and vibrant with a huge portion of spring mix and plump cherry tomatoes and crunchy cucumbers. The dressing was on point! The Chef mention it was house made. I didn't ask what dressing it was but the dressing was SO GOOD.. with fresh dill.. it was a light but creamy dressing, definitely recommend. Next, the pizza really amazed me. It came out so fresh and piping hot. One Pizza filled my husband and I up easily with 4 slices each. Yes. We ate the whole thing! Key highlights of the pizza were the crust.. the crust was beautifully crispy with the perfect crunch. It was easily foldable to delivery the savory toppings. The sauce was just the perfect amount of acid, saltiness, sweetness that should be in a pizza sauce. It complimented the sourdough crust very well, in addition to the cheese, pepperonis and sausage-- we got the Double Trouble. Each bite was delicious with the right amount of pepperoni and sausage covering the pie. The pizza was not greasy at all. Since trying the pizza @ Pizza Parlor I first tried the margarita pizza with pepperoni which blew me away. They make the most delicious sour dough crust which balances the pizza perfectly, and makes it perfect. I don't usually like the end crust, but I couldn't stop eating, it was absolutely positively Delicioso. Since then. I've tried many different pizzas. They have the most eclectic menu I ever seen. The menu has Solo Pizza, OG Margarita Pizza, Bacon Jammin Pizza, & LA Taco Pizza. in the words of Lil John, WHAT???? Oh ya, and the staff is amazing, very nice. Pizza Parlor is now my Go-To.... After enjoying many pies at Ottimo was eager to try the new incarnation Pizza Parlor and was impressed! We tried the special smoked brisket which was great but it is the crust the truly sings here, absolutely perfect sourdough, baked at just the right crispness on the edges and enough in the center to give the pie some body but not make it heavy. With the trend of specialty pizzas these days, it's all about the crust, and Pizza Parlor nailed it. Would've been a five stars if not for an awkward service moment I watched with another customer. My husband and I ran into this place after running errands. I can't have the typical red sauce pizza. Jenna, who was so friendly and polite, kindly suggested the salsa Blanco pizza. First off, the menu does not have any reference to size so I assumed that the pizza would be a typical pie that would easily feed 3 people. Wrong. The pie was less than 14 inches and for $34+ bucks, with tax and tip, it is over priced and left us hungry. I am disappointed. read more

I was excited to hear that coffee parlor was opening a pizza place right next door. I've been a coffee parlor fan for years now. However, the wait time was kinda ridiculous. I ordered online and it said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I got to the restaurant in 20 minutes and then the worker told me 10 more minutes. After 10 minutes, he told me 3 more minutes. After 3 more minutes, it took about 15 more minutes. I understand this place is new and probably still figuring out it's kinks so I wasn't too upset, it just took up a lot of my time.
