I'm used to Long Island pizza. This is the best I've found in Richmond. Delicious, high quality, and very fast service.

I really enjoy this place. One of the very few places that have a little bit of everything and deliver. I believe they do a decent burger, fries, onion rings, pizza and calzone. Was not a fan of the batter basket. I would have given 5STARS if it wasn't for this horrible let down. All obviously bought in pieces of crap and the price for them...well you would not expect what you see... Really loved the delivery guys and the workers at this place along with the food until that basket. Definitely give them a try though. Prices are decent. We ordered pizza from here last night, delivery was quick. The pizza was amazing and cooked perfectly. Even reheated great the next day. My only one con was with the Caesar salad, salad was made from iceberg lettuce and not romaine, which makes it kinda tasteless. But we will be back again. I joined Yelp just so i could leave this review. The pizza is great- no doubt about it! my complaint is that every time I get a pizza delivered it comes w/all the toppings on one slide of the pizza! Like the delivery guy is carrying the pizza box under his arm instead of flat in his hands. I've had this happen 3 times. Tonight they came back for the messed up pizza & when i opened the fresh pizza it looked just as bad as the one they took away. i tried calling back but of course nobody would answer this time. This place is awesome. I actually feel like the name sells them short a little bit, because they have any kind of food you're in the mood for. The pizza is quite good though, especially the deluxe. It's basically like an open face sandwich, there is that much stuff on it. They also will deliver by the slice which I don't think I've seen anywhere else, pretty sweet. I order from here all the time because it's basically a one-stop shop. Pastas, subs, quesadillas, wings. Loaded potato skins ffs, I mean come on. Is it 5 star Michelin quality? Of course not. But it's not supposed to be. It's a huge variety of very good food at very reasonable prices, delivered. I've recommended this place to a lot of people and will continue to do so. PE4L. When we order out, we usually order from here. Good subs and calzones, cheap prices. Love the onion rings (although they seem to have two different types at any given time, a beer battered and crunchy version). Online ordering is a big plus, but you can't order a side of onion rings that way, so if you want them you have to get a meal (which is a real bummer when you want a calzone and some o-rings!) Only other thing keeping them from 5 stars is that EVERY time we order and select any kind of dressing from the menu, they give us some weird watery italian dressing instead of what was selected. I always as for the3 dressing on the side, but sometimes they put it on my sub anyway and it becomes a soggy mess :( read more

This place is in the cut of Quiocassin shopping center. Pizza express provided great customer service. Fresh and hot pizza took about 8 minutes, but it's definitely worth the wait!! I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was delicious!! It's a great spot to take food to go. They have a few tables, but not the size for a group. I want to like this place. It's close to our house and we love pizza. We like their food, sometimes. Pizza crusts are sometimes burned and the price of the food is often high compared to what we recieve. The service is friendly sometimes, leering sometimes, and other times dismissive. We've been customers of Pizza Express for almost 7 years now. We used to eat in because we loved a hot slice of pizza as opposed to delivery but they did away with most of their seating. Quality pizza at a moderate price. They put a huge amount of cheese on your pizza, so you probably don't want to order extra cheese. My mom was actually taking cheese off of her slices because she thought it was too much. I would recommend getting some pizza sauce on the side for dipping. Toppings are excellent. I haven't tried their non-pizza offerings yet. Workers there are friendly. People who like New York pizza swear by this place. They are in a shopping center where a lot of places have gone out of business since the anchoring Food Lion that was there went under. Last night's PE experience has caused me to update this review. My husband ordered the BTG (basil, tomato and garlic) pizza. No tomatoes. add sausage. The pizza arrived in good time and was hot. What we did not expect was the amount of grease on and under the pizza. The box was soaked through with grease. The grease dripped off of each slice of pizza. I am not sure if this from the garlic or what, but it was gross. I always blot my pizza to get the excess grease off, but tonight i had to use three paper towels to blot the top and bottom of the pizza before attempting to eat it. We always used to say that we loved PE because the pizzas were not greasy on the bottom. This is not the case anymore. Will be thinking twice before ordering from them again. read more

I'm so disappointed I kept passing this place up! This has become our new pizza place, and we've been there 3 times in the last week. I've only tried the NY style, but the crust is perfect- it tastes great, crispy outside with a soft chewy inside. The topping portions are great, too. They use the right amount of cheese and sauce too; I also love that the sauce isn't chunky, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I can easily do a small myself and it's very filling. As we are originally from the NY/NJ area it was difficult to find a New York type of pizza in Richmond, particularly in the Glen Allen area where we reside. We have been regular customers for at least 8 years but just had to write a review tonight after receiving a delivery on a cold, rainy winter night. The Hawaiian pizza was top notch (we have tried many different combinations), the ordering was fast and the delivery driver was super nice and efficient. Love this place! Ordered pizza for a work function, but accidentally ordered from the Quioccasin location which is about a 30 min drive. The staff there are amazingly friendly and even hooked me up with some free zappoli to make up for my drive. My boss at work wanted to thank us one day for coming in on a snow day and decided that pizza would be a great option. She ordered from Pizza express and we decided that we wanted to be adventurous and stray from the norm. We ordered the speciality pizzas and they did not disappoint. So I have read the reviews for this place. A lot of one-timers who simply judge one thing. I find most of them have some kind of elitist attitude about their expectations. I eat your two to three times a week. The people are excellent. Diligent, accurate, and friendly. The food is excellent. Pizza is something that not everyone finds a niche for themselves in. In general the food here is excellent. People are nice. Subs are great. Pizza is very good. Seafood is generous and cooked well. If you want some fast food in Littleton, this place is convenient quick and very good. The pizza was fair. Tasty and wasn't too bad at all. Went to pick it up and from ordering to pizza finished was super quick. But the toppings on the pizza were really sloppy. First, let me say, I've been to Pizza Express multiple times within the past year -- we either pick it up or have it delivered at least once per month. Our experience is normally pleasant and we enjoy the food -- we've had multiple kinds of pizza, fries, wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and other appetizers. There have been a few times where something was wrong - mostly with a dipping sauce, but nothing that we couldn't overlook. Tonight, our experience was much different. When we picked up the order, there was a discrepancy with the bill -- we ordered a large pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks, but were charged for 3 orders of mozzarella sticks. No big deal, eventually it was sorted out and we were charged for the right items. The pizza looked a little underbaked, but again, no big deal. We end up reheating leftovers in the oven anyways. However, when we actually ate the pizza, the chicken on it (it had chicken, spinach, and tomato) was cold and inedible -- the chicken was tough... I couldn't determine if it was overcooked or undercooked. We ended up picking most of it off... which wouldn't be a big deal, but for $19 I do expect quality ingredients. We also received a meat sauce instead of marinara (which would be okay, except I don't eat red meat... but again, no big deal. I can eat them without sauce, they just aren't as good and not worth $6). Overall, it's a fine place with inconsistent service and quality. We'll probably still consider ordering here again, since it's close to our house. But, we probably won't be getting chicken pizza or mozzarella sticks again... which is a bummer. *Update: We ended up throwing away the pizza after eating less than half due to belly troubles. We'll try other pizza places in the area before coming here again. read more

Went to pick up an orde this evening only to find what I later learned was the Assistant Manager (older woman with short hair) berating an older employee for not cleaning the rug well enough. She degraded him by asking if he needed his eyeglass prescription rechecked and went on to mock the way he was doing his job. I called the man over whose name is, Yusuf, I believe and asked if he was OK. He gave me the off the cuff answer with a smile saying she just jokes like that. I told him he was was worth more than that and he should never let anyone speak to him that way. I was going to cancel my order but he begged me to please not. As if he was afraid of getting in more trouble. When I went inside, said assistant manager said hello and motioned to a young lady behind the counter to ring me up. Holding her cell phone in the air (apparently she got a call) so making the young lady do it. I brought my concerns to the young lady who also had the same fear in her eyes that the assistant manager might overhear what I was saying. I paid for my food, waived to Yusef and went on my way. To the Assistant Manager, you should be ashamed of yourself. It is your job to support your employees and lift them up. If they aren't working up to the "Companies standard" nor yours, then they should be reprimanded, professionally! You really should take some employee relations courses or deal with what ever the hell it is you have going on in your personal life because you are truly an embarrassment. To the employees, you all seem to do a wonderful job. The food is always good there and the young lady behind the counter is always courteous with a smile on her face. Their NY style pizza is the best in Richmond, hands down. I love their pizza, pasta dishes, sandwiches, salads, desserts...just about everything except for the fries. They are almost always soggy. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that their name sells them short because the food is incredible and authentic. I am fortunate to live close by so I don't have to get delivery. On the rare occasions that I have chosen delivery, I paid extra for cheese on my garlic bread and still received the regular. Asked if I could at least be issued a credit toward my next order and the manager hung up on me. Extremely rude!
