La Vera is quickly becoming my go-to for pizza delivery at home downtown for a few key reasons: 1) It arrives quickly. 2) The pizza is delicious. 3) The delivery fees aren't absurd. This is a good choice for just a nice pie. I also like their app sampler option (the mozz sticks and the cheesy garlic bread especially). They do fall flat when it comes to hoagies though. They're not *bad* but they need better bread and higher quality deli meats. But for pizza? I'm sold. read more

Our office has ordered there several times for a monthly meeting. After yesterday, we will not order there ever again. The first instance came when pizza was not delivered when expected and we called to find its whereabouts. The manager informed us there was no delivery driver available and if we wanted it, we would have to come pick it up. If no driver was available, we should have been informed of this when placing the order. When staffer went to pick up the order, she said it looked like our pizzas had been sitting out the whole time. Staffer said she would not take "old pizzas that had been lying around" and demanded they make us fresh pies, which they did. With yesterday's order, which was delivered timely, some of us came down with a mysterious stomach bug before the end of the work day. The only common factor we can figure is the pizza. read more

Basic.... but wait, there's more! I got the meat lovers and the veggie special-hey I gotta get my veggies in right? I will say that little places like this taste a lot less manufactured and simple tasting compared to big chain pizza shops such as Papa John's or Domino's. There's not as much salt or seasoning, but I think in a good, conscious way of moderation. I enjoyed the crunchy crust and felt the cheese wasn't too heavy on either slice. The toppings were fresh and the right amount. The people were pretty friendly and gave me some suggestions about what I should get. I found it convenient since I was going to an art gallery nearby. La Vera Pizza is my go to pizza place in Manchester. I find that when I am home and in need of cheesy goodness this is the place for me. This visit (or delivery) was no different. One of the things I always appreciate is that there are always coupons (that cause me to order more food than I need for less than I planned on spending). I also appreciate that 95% my order is delivered...HOT... in about 20 minutes. This time around I ordered a Pizza, wings, and a 2 liter soda and it was more than enough food for about three meals. The pizza was great. The bruschetta was good but I felt like it was missing something, so I added balsamic dressing and it was phenomenal. I got the chicken Alfredo which comes with a very generous size/loaf of garlic bread. Pro's: big pan of chicken Alfredo for $11.50, big role of bread, options to add things into the Alfredo, and tasty. Cons: Alfredo was just a little soupy/runny (still good), Alfredo was not really seasoned with salt or garlic, garlic bread barely had garlic on it, I added broccoli for $1.50 and it was kinda mushy and maybe 6 pieces of broccoli. Was not really a fan of the chicken, was unseasoned and kind of dry even though it was in so much sauce. Overall, I'd definitely order again, I'd probably just add my own seasoning in the Alfredo and get it without broccoli next time. Got la vera for delivery. It was quick and that was great. Got a large cheese pizza and the 3 choice sampler. The broccoli cheese bites are so good! But not spicy whatsoever. Mozzarella sticks are good! Very cheesy! And the garlic bread is top notch! The pizza is good! Better than a lot around here but theres something about the sauce that doesnt send me over the moon. Nothing fancy for the sauces - I just dunked mine in hot sauce before taking a bite of that deep-fried delicacy. (If you are a big sauce person, this might not be your place.) I ordered from la Vera yesterday because the reviews seemed good overall and there was a coupon for a 16 inch pizza ,10 wings and a 2 liter of Pepsi for 22 dollars . This was without a doubt the worst pizza I've ever had delivered. I ordered around 715 the food arrived at 8 but the driver forgot the 2 liter. I opened the box for the pizza and the cheese was barely melted. The sauce was thin and tasteless. The toppings ( pepperoni and mushroom) were greasy and obviously not the freshest and the crust tasted like something you'd get at a high school cafeteria. A friend of mine looked at it and decided he wouldn't even try it. After my first slice I decided the only thing I ordered that I could eat was the wings. If your looking to get something delivered go somewhere else I don't know why the reviews are so positive for this place but it's not worth it. Please don't make my mistake. read more
