Father God, I humbly come before you to say a special prayer for the genius who dreamt up a curry base pizza mixed with pesto. I nominate them for a pair of golden wings because they are clearly angels in human form! This pizza was ridiculously fantastic!!! You can build your own pizza with six toppings included. I got a "vegetarian pizza" but "whispering softly" added chicken (because why not), and the next day, I remixed my leftovers and added Brussels sprouts from Mary Lou's (shout out to them). The result was so divine I almost combusted. Run, don't walk, to get this pizza - you won't regret it! Ambiance: It's just a couple of chairs and an L-shaped high top, perfect for trying at least a slice. But fair warning, you might end up eating the whole pizza while you're there and need to spend another $12. Now your account is negative $24 because you couldn't resist! read more

Curry pizza!!!! Must try! Fresh ingredients and friendly service. One price for unlimited toppings on 10" crust. I ordered 2 pizzas, one with marinara and the other half curry half pesto white sauce mix. Both were delicious but the curry half pizza stole the show for sure. I ordered that half for me thinking no one else would want curry pizza. I was wrong. They took a bite of mine and ended up taking their own slice. Definitely will come back when visiting our son at VCU. read more

Squeezed between a martial arts studio and a Chinese takeout spot, Rick's Pizza is pretty unassuming. Don't let this be a deterrent though, inside is some of the best pizza in the VCU area. Rick's takes after the assembly line restaurant model where you work your way down a line of options, building a pizza as you go. For 7.95 you get a 5 topping personal pizza. On an empty stomach I'd wager you get two meals out of it. Whatever toppings you want, I'd recommend the marinara/curry as the base, a delicious combo that's unique to Rick's. Open late on weekends, consider skipping the line at Christian's and giving Rick's a shot. You'll save yourself twenty minutes and have a fresh pizza to boot! read more

This build-your-own, style pizza shop serves up $8 pizzas with any toppings you'd like. We kept it simple and got a cheese pizza with jalapeños and red onions. The sauce had a good flavor, and the crust was soft on the inside with a nice crunchy bite on the outer layer. It's easy to walk by this place without really noticing it, but it's definitely worth the stop for a late night bite. read more

Let me start off by saying what a win for this location. CHEAP, Fresh, quick, & TASTY pizza all in 1 !! Hands down another top pizza location in Richmond.. My favorite part was that it came personal size with 6 toppings for $7.95 like where can you get that but @ home?! The small set up gives it lack of pleasure but with a bite of the pizza your imagination can bring you out of that small box Lol... anyway besides the interior set up the food & price sends me back again & again. Recommended if you & your family likes pizza & can eat a whole pie alone.. read more

First off, I had asked some friends if they had been here and if it was any good. One of my friends remarked, "VERY good", so I decided to give it a go. I had been craving cheesy goodness and this wasn't far from my resident hall (I'm a VCU Student). Right off the bat, the place was super nice and clean, the people there were super friendly and even asked if it was my first time here. Very simple process, one size (12in), one price (7.95, though there's a dollar discount as a VCU Student) and it kinda works like Subway where you tell them all the toppings you want. My pizza was very carefully made, I was impressed. The guy working the assembly line made sure all the ingredients were evenly dispersed. Then it got put onto the pizza oven conveyor belt and I only had to wait a little bit for it to be done. (5-10 minutes at most. Not bad at all). The place started to smell DELICIOUS as my pizza was almost done baking, and by the time it was done and they boxed it, I could not wait to chow down. Final verdict?? SUPER delicious pizza that I will choose over any other chain places any day. I was sad when I finished my final slice! I am definitely hooked and will be coming back to this place. I'm glad this part of Richmond finally has a really good family-run pizza place! These folks deserve to flourish! read more

We went for the arancini, since it's my fiancé's favorite and it's so hard to find. The food was delivered to us super fast and was presented beautifully. It tasted good, but I will say it wasn't super authentic Italian food. The arancini was a bit more like a mozzarella cheese ball, rather than full of meat and risotto. So it's a good spot for very Americanized Italian food, if that's what you're looking for. If you like a lot of balsamic, you'll enjoy the Brussel sprouts appetizer and the zucchini fries were good if paired with the tomato sauce. Overall, this is an adorable spot for some very cheesey, casual Italian food.
