Father God, I humbly come before you to say a special prayer for the genius who dreamt up a curry base pizza mixed with pesto. I nominate them for a pair of golden wings because they are clearly angels in human form! This pizza was ridiculously fantastic!!! You can build your own pizza with six toppings included. I got a "vegetarian pizza" but "whispering softly" added chicken (because why not), and the next day, I remixed my leftovers and added Brussels sprouts from Mary Lou's (shout out to them). The result was so divine I almost combusted. Run, don't walk, to get this pizza - you won't regret it! Ambiance: It's just a couple of chairs and an L-shaped high top, perfect for trying at least a slice. But fair warning, you might end up eating the whole pizza while you're there and need to spend another $12. Now your account is negative $24 because you couldn't resist! read more

Curry pizza!!!! Must try! Fresh ingredients and friendly service. One price for unlimited toppings on 10" crust. I ordered 2 pizzas, one with marinara and the other half curry half pesto white sauce mix. Both were delicious but the curry half pizza stole the show for sure. I ordered that half for me thinking no one else would want curry pizza. I was wrong. They took a bite of mine and ended up taking their own slice. Squeezed between a martial arts studio and a Chinese takeout spot, Rick's Pizza is pretty unassuming. Don't let this be a deterrent though, inside is some of the best pizza in the VCU area. Rick's takes after the assembly line restaurant model where you work your way down a line of options, building a pizza as you go. For 7.95 you get a 5 topping personal pizza. On an empty stomach I'd wager you get two meals out of it. Whatever toppings you want, I'd recommend the marinara/curry as the base, a delicious combo that's unique to Rick's. This was our first time trying Rick's Pizza. Looks like the place hasn't been open too long. It was a Great deal for your money. They had a great variety of toppings and you can add as many toppings as you want to your personal pizza. The pizzas are a good size. If you are a VCU student you get a $1 off! First off, I had asked some friends if they had been here and if it was any good. One of my friends remarked, "VERY good", so I decided to give it a go. I had been craving cheesy goodness and this wasn't far from my resident hall (I'm a VCU Student). Right off the bat, the place was super nice and clean, the people there were super friendly and even asked if it was my first time here. Very simple process, one size (12in), one price (7.95, though there's a dollar discount as a VCU Student) and it kinda works like Subway where you tell them all the toppings you want. My pizza was very carefully made, I was impressed. The guy working the assembly line made sure all the ingredients were evenly dispersed. Then it got put onto the pizza oven conveyor belt and I only had to wait a little bit for it to be done. (5-10 minutes at most. Not bad at all). The place started to smell DELICIOUS as my pizza was almost done baking, and by the time it was done and they boxed it, I could not wait to chow down. Final verdict?? SUPER delicious pizza that I will choose over any other chain places any day. I was sad when I finished my final slice! I am definitely hooked and will be coming back to this place. I'm glad this part of Richmond finally has a really good family-run pizza place! These folks deserve to flourish! read more
