Speciality pizza Pepperoni sausage and whipped ricotta
Courtni S.

Came in for a pie for lunch. We ordered the specialty pizza of the day and it was AMAZING! Ang was super sweet and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. We will definitely be back!

Sausage and ricotta!

Delicious, high quality pizza. We had a build your own - double pepperoni. Outstanding and cooked to perfection. Chef Mungo is a pizza guru!! They open the box and inspect with you to ensure your pizza is cooked to your liking. We also had the sausage and ricotta. OH MY!!!! I believe they are the best in RVA for NY style. Best I've had along the east coast. Give them a try. You won't regret it.

I've gotten pizza here twice and I will keep coming back! They have delicious pizza with great specials!

Came at 4 PM on a Saturday and even though they were moderately busy for the time of day, our two pizzas were ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. Although the pizza is a little on the pricey side, they are 18 inch pies and the quality is definitely worth the price. We got the ricotta classic ($28) and classic cheese ($22). While both delicious, the ricotta one was definitely superior. I'd say this rivals Zorch as the best pizza in Richmond. Highly recommend!

I do think it's one of the top pizzas in Richmond. No it is not a gourmet pizza no but it's pretty close to New York pizza. They have like two tables so most of its takeout. some people found the sauce a little spicy. It definitely had a little bit of it, but it wasn't like overbearing. I think they're using strong. Good quality ingredients. They're very large pizzas. I think I give it an A-.

No Flop!!! Top grade ingredients,No Flop!! Crisp crunchy texture, No Flop! Under carriage to die for, No Flop!! Excellent sauce, cheese and toppings beautifully made with NY Love. No other pizzeria can beat this. Held its flavor and texture the day after( Very important) Rungo to Mungo!!!

Cheese slice - amazing!

New Yorkers / NY pizza snobs - this place is IT. Perfect crispy crust, bright sauce (well-seasoned/not sweet), high-quality cheese, and not too greasy or salty. Amazing well-balanced pizza perfection. Owner on site was super friendly and attentive...though I do love a grumpy NY pizzaiolo. Moved here a few months back after years in NY/LA and have been bummed at how weak the pizza game is here. Zorch has its moments but mostly in Carytown location. And not nearly as good in either shop. So...get out and support what is easily the best pizza in RVA! Hopefully this place gets huge and opens a shop out toward 288. If not, happy to make the drive to get more. 5 stars all around and much gratitude!

Pie with cupped pepperoni and garlic

I'm give this a 4.3 rating. Tasted very good and ordered another pie for my mother to bring back to TN (they don't have good pizza by them). My mom also really enjoyed it. I had ordered take out and when I picked up, they have you inspect the pizza first to make sure it had everything you ordered. I love that idea! My only gripe was that there really wasn't much garlic on the pie. I personally don't love semolina flour on the crust, but that is purely a personal preference! Also their prices compared to the Richmond market is more affordable. With all that said, I will definitely order from here again.

This is legit NY style pizza. It's somewhat pricy but that's justified given no real competition in the area.

And…read morewhile they've got more than one location, this review is strictly for Carytown because that's my spot. The vibes are always right. It feels like community the second you walk in. Hector is the coolest, hands down--great energy, great personality, the kind of person who makes you want to come back. Oh and did I mention you can get pizza by the slice! The variety is mind blowing and they always have vegan options!!!!! I'm a thin-slice person. I need the right ratio of crust to sauce to toppings, and Zorch nails it every time. Plus, no flop! The cheese slice is a classic and was my favorite... until I discovered The Upside Down. Listen, when I bite into that slice, I literally close my eyes. I see a lot of people say it's greasy. For this one, grease me down baby. The flavor does everything it needs to do. Layered, bold, and honestly addictive. After that slice, I don't even want a regular one anymore. Next up on my list: The Grandma. And for context, I've had Angelo's in Philly. Respectfully? It doesn't compare. Sorry to all the other grandmothers out there lol. One note though-it's heavy on the garlic, so if that's not your thing, you might want to pivot. If it is your thing? Strap in. It's been a few years since I've been able to say I found a legit pizza spot in RVA. A spot that I bring others to often! I'm happy to say I've found my pizza home. Much love to the Zorch crew. See y'all soon!

I felt like I was getting the true local experience being here. There's only a few chairs to sit while you wait but no tables to sit and eat. Service - friendly and quick. We walked in just before 7 PM and were told that our 2 pizzas would be done in about 30 minutes which ended up being accurate! We took our 1 1/2 year old to the park up the street while we waited. Food - the pepperoni pizza was the best we've had in richmond so far! The red sauce tasted more like a pasta sauce than a pizza sauce - which I loved! The pepperonis were also larger and thinner than the traditional size so they were perfectly crispy. We also ordered the Breakfast Pizza with sausage. The flavor profile was more mild but still surprisingly good. We added red pepper flakes to this one when we got home.

I decided to give it a try since I would be down the street after VCU homecoming basketball game. Upon entering the restaurant, we were told they were not quite open yet. It was about 255pm and our reservations were for 3pm. We did see a couple seated on the restaurant side. When I made my reservations on the open table app I asked to be seated in the restaurant side and not the bar side. When the host came over to seat us, she seated us in the bar area. We had to get the attention of someone to wipe the seats off because food was in the seats. She did ask us were we there for the repass and we told her no we had reservations for 3pm on the restaurant side. We studied the menu for about 10 minutes and decided to order appetizers and soft drinks. The server came over and took our orders. She was back in less than five minutes. Our drink orders looked very light in color and hardly no bubbles were in our drinks. The ginger ale looked like water and the pepsi was extra dark in color. The server never came back to check on us. We decided to get up and leave. First impressions are everything to me. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but...I will not be trying this place again

The New Yorker was a cheese pizza while The Wire was a Crab Pizza with pesto sauce. I didn't get a picture but the cheese pull was insane on both! The drinks were good as well. I had the "Pornstar Martini" while my cousin had the "Velvet Notes" I love how the restaurant has 3 different parts. The right side was for the conservatives, the left was for the not so conservatives and the basement was where the party and hookah was at. The only downside of this place, was the service. It was sooo slow! Although, our bartender "Devin" made some amazing drinks!
