This pizza is SO GOOD!!! It's a little pricy but definitely worth it. Super crunch deep dish pizza and the staff was so friendly. Only con is the inside is very small so it's more of a to-go place.

The pizza was incredible! Very tasty thick and cheesy crust with a great sauce that had a little kick of heat.

Finally got our hands on the infamous Secret Squares! Ordering was super easy with their text notifications to remind you when the ordering window is open. Pickup was super easy and the shop was super cute and quaint in Churchill. We ordered the spicy boi and it did not disappoint! The cheese was super stretchy, peppers were spicy, and the crust was so crunchy! Absolutely one of my top favorite pizza spots now. Sharing between two people there were no leftovers (disappointing) so we'll definitely have to get two pizzas next time. Thank you secret squares

Easy ordering and pick up! I love that you pick a time and it's ready when you arrive at exactly that time. The space they're in on 29th currently has a few tables, though I was planning to take mine home. We got the rainbow pie and pepperoni. The crust is incredible and I loved the toppings. The cheese was not my fav, but honestly everything else is so good I'd even go without cheese next time. Or just ricotta - that ricotta is delightful on the pepperoni pie. Will definitely be back here again soon! Welcome to Church Hill :)

Great spot for pizza. Always made right, have ordered from here about 3-4 times. Staff and owner are always nice. Always crunchy and flavorful. Worth the price of the pie and will definitely be back.

If you're looking for amazing Detroit style pizza this is the place to go! I was on the waitlist for a few weeks and kept missing the drops due to pick up days I was away for work. The longer I had to wait, the more I wanted to try it! The ingredients are fresher than I have ever had on pizza. The home made sourdough crust was such a soft, crispy edged base for delicious toppings! The sauce was so sweet and tangy and really set off the ricotta on top. I am normally a New York style pizza person but this Detroit style was very good and I will try it again! Loved meeting the chef when picked up, it's made with love for sure!

This was the new Richmond location in Church Hill (located where Nile used to be!) The pizza was pre-order and allows you to place an order for a specific date and time. Honestly, I liked the exclusivity idea. There being only a finite number of pizzas available, you have to be ready at the countdown to snag a pizza. The ordering system was a little confusing initially because it was like trying to buy Taylor Swift tickets. Like Kmart on Black Friday, people were grabbing pizzas left and right. I had to wait a moment for a pizza to be released from someone's cart. To reiterate, the pizza shop only has a specific number of pre-order pizzas available so once its sold out, its gone until next release/week. Once it was time to select a pizza, you had SECONDS to try to snag a pre-order and place it in your cart for purchase. SUGGESTION: know what you want and be ready to add it to your cart immediately. I was able to snag a Roni Detroit style pizza. Since it is a small operation, you are given a specific date and time to pick up your pizza. Picking up the pizza was easy seamless. The pizza was lukewarm upon pickup. I like my pizza hot, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The pizza itself was beautiful in its presentation. Thick crust, substantial sauce, evenly distributed toppings. Now, the size of the pizza was small. I'm 5'3 and have small hands and took a pic for reference. There were 6 squares and if I wanted to do damage, I could have eaten the pizza myself (maybe for lunch and dinner). My husband ate 4 out of 6 squares and he was still snacking afterwards. The serving size is modest. The flavor Profile was good. The sauce was sweet and not too acidic. The pepperoni was beautifully stacked and crust offered a spectacular bite. The Roni was a good pizza but felt like it wasn't "adventurous" in flavor. I believe I may find what I'm looking for in the other pizza choices. For $30 (pizza+tip+taxes), the pizza was okay. I would try the other options. I am happy there is a Detroit style pizza closer to the city! Excited for what's to come :-)

A slice on a small plate

I ordered to the Church Hill location. I was a bit early so they said I could sit inside to wait. I had my dog with me and they were very friendly and happy to see him. They washed their hands (obviously important) after they said hi to him. So 5/5 for service The pizza (in my opinion was underwhelming) they gave me a "rainbow pizza" with pesto, vodka sauce, ricotta and hot honey, and red sauce lines. Presentation? 5/5. But the size is small for what I paid. $33 including tax and tip. I feel like I could've gotten a better deal at Bottoms Up. But it was deep dish and the experience that I paid for. The flavors just didn't hit like I wanted them to. Maybe it was because there were so many fighting? Idk. But that hot honey is no joke. It hits you in the back of the throat. Nice to have with ricotta to cool it down. My husband would disagree and say it's 4/5. I say if you want to try it and it's pay day go ahead.

And…read morewhile they've got more than one location, this review is strictly for Carytown because that's my spot. The vibes are always right. It feels like community the second you walk in. Hector is the coolest, hands down--great energy, great personality, the kind of person who makes you want to come back. Oh and did I mention you can get pizza by the slice! The variety is mind blowing and they always have vegan options!!!!! I'm a thin-slice person. I need the right ratio of crust to sauce to toppings, and Zorch nails it every time. Plus, no flop! The cheese slice is a classic and was my favorite... until I discovered The Upside Down. Listen, when I bite into that slice, I literally close my eyes. I see a lot of people say it's greasy. For this one, grease me down baby. The flavor does everything it needs to do. Layered, bold, and honestly addictive. After that slice, I don't even want a regular one anymore. Next up on my list: The Grandma. And for context, I've had Angelo's in Philly. Respectfully? It doesn't compare. Sorry to all the other grandmothers out there lol. One note though-it's heavy on the garlic, so if that's not your thing, you might want to pivot. If it is your thing? Strap in. It's been a few years since I've been able to say I found a legit pizza spot in RVA. A spot that I bring others to often! I'm happy to say I've found my pizza home. Much love to the Zorch crew. See y'all soon!

While I did consider other options, the comparison of a margherita slice and a grandma slice appealed to me. Both were delicious but distinctively different. The crust is quite thin and floppy on both. I did not get the vegan grandma slice but this was available for those in need. They had a range of beverage options and given the heat I might have been well served by getting a seltzer, which I didn't simply because I didn't notice it there initially. There is a larger pizza shop which has more appetizers and salads and things, which I am convinced is worth trying.

I felt like I was getting the true local experience being here. There's only a few chairs to sit while you wait but no tables to sit and eat. Service - friendly and quick. We walked in just before 7 PM and were told that our 2 pizzas would be done in about 30 minutes which ended up being accurate! We took our 1 1/2 year old to the park up the street while we waited. Food - the pepperoni pizza was the best we've had in richmond so far! The red sauce tasted more like a pasta sauce than a pizza sauce - which I loved! The pepperonis were also larger and thinner than the traditional size so they were perfectly crispy. We also ordered the Breakfast Pizza with sausage. The flavor profile was more mild but still surprisingly good. We added red pepper flakes to this one when we got home.

I decided to give it a try since I would be down the street after VCU homecoming basketball game. Upon entering the restaurant, we were told they were not quite open yet. It was about 255pm and our reservations were for 3pm. We did see a couple seated on the restaurant side. When I made my reservations on the open table app I asked to be seated in the restaurant side and not the bar side. When the host came over to seat us, she seated us in the bar area. We had to get the attention of someone to wipe the seats off because food was in the seats. She did ask us were we there for the repass and we told her no we had reservations for 3pm on the restaurant side. We studied the menu for about 10 minutes and decided to order appetizers and soft drinks. The server came over and took our orders. She was back in less than five minutes. Our drink orders looked very light in color and hardly no bubbles were in our drinks. The ginger ale looked like water and the pepsi was extra dark in color. The server never came back to check on us. We decided to get up and leave. First impressions are everything to me. I had the "Pornstar Martini" while my cousin had the "Velvet Notes" I love how the restaurant has 3 different parts. The right side was for the conservatives, the left was for the not so conservatives and the basement was where the party and hookah was at. The only downside of this place, was the service. It was sooo slow! Although, our bartender "Devin" made some amazing drinks!
